“Harold did a wonderful job with our dog Maggie!! He was very kind and loving with her as she is a special needs dog that is deaf. He sent lots of pictures and kept us updated about her stay. I would highly recommend Harold for your boarding needs! 💗🐶”

About: Having grown up with animals most my life…I pride myself in the ability to comfort and love your furry friend… Even from a distance. My special skills, are soft skills… Meaning that I work best with slow warm-ups for any anxious pets. But also, I’m ready for any high energy animals as well. I go to school, and work during the weekdays… But have a giant break in the middle of the day, for any pet care. Weekends work best for me. Making sure to adapt to whatever the pet owner, and pet need. Whether that means space, or extra attention… I can be that in-between person you request. I also pride myself on attention to detail… So will notice any change in behavior, or care necessary.
“Ashley was awesome with our two Boxer girls! Mags and Su had a blast playing in the big fenced back yard & with her pup and senior Boxer. I honestly think Su is going to have separation anxiety from Freya, she loved playing with her so much!! Ashley sent daily updates with photos/videos. We would highly recommend, especially if you have a Boxer, trusting Ashley with your fur babes!”

“We cannot express enough gratitude for Ryan and his wonderful family for taking care of our beloved dog, Lola, during our recent family trip. From the moment we met them, we knew Lola was in the best hands. Ryan and his family were incredibly thoughtful, caring, and gentle with her, treating Lola as if she were their own. Lola can be quite shy and anxious around new people, but under their loving care, she felt safe and happy. Ryan's attentiveness and the warmth of his family truly shone through, making Lola's time away from us comfortable and stress-free. The updates and pictures they sent showed us just how much love and attention Lola was receiving, and it brought us immense peace of mind. We are deeply touched by the kindness and compassion Ryan and his family showed Lola. They went above and beyond to ensure she felt loved and secure. It's not easy to leave a cherished pet behind, but knowing Lola was with such amazing people made all the difference. We are forever grateful for their exceptional care and the genuine love they shared with our sweet girl. Thank you, Ryan, for being such a wonderful caretaker. Your kindness will always be remembered.”

“Kimberley and her family were wonderful hosts for Bailey!!!! We had a meet and greet first, and she was very gentle with Bailey with the introduction of her other two cute pups! I really appreciated that! With the stay, she sent pictures and updated me! I really enjoyed meeting her and her family and loved that she took great care of him! She has become definitely my number 1 rover sitter!”

“If I could leave 10 out of 5 stars I would! Amanda was wonderful and we could not have asked for a better experience. Besides being kind, gentle, and thoughtful, she was very caring and gave our dog lots of attention. We had multiple pictures and videos, which were so nice. She took Oliver on walks every day, not down the street, but to a park every day. She also fed him home cooked chicken (with my approval) to try to get him to eat (picky eater!). I know Oliver had a great time and it was so nice not worrying about our little boy! We will definitely use her again! Thank you Amanda!”

“My dog Kona had another great stay with Kelsey! I would absolutely recommend her. She is super accommodating, quick to get back to you and sends the best photos. Kona always has such a great time playing with her dogs and going for walks on the beach.”

“Katie and her family was so accommodating and wonderful to work with. I got daily updates and made me feel at ease while we were on vacation. Our weimerainer is an old girl and was t sure how’d she be but she ended up feeling right at home with Katie. 10 outta 10 recommend”
“Danielle is the absolute best, and I’ll hear nothing to the contrary. This was my first time using Rover, and the sitter I originally booked cancelled on me morning of, but Danielle accepted our last minute request on a holiday weekend. I have an old dog with arthritis and medication who can be a picky eater at times, but that was no issue for Danielle. She not only made me feel at ease with constant updates and pictures, but she exercised and socialized him, and he may like her more than me now. My only regrets with this review are that everyone else will book her now and she’ll be unavailable next time we need boarding for a weekend”

“Jennifer was so great with my boys! I had them stay for the weekend with her while I moved and I could easily tell how much she loved them. We will definitely be using her services again and highly recommend her!”

“It was a pleasure to have Parris watch and take care of our almost 17 year old dog Vanilla for 5 days. Paris communicated very well, was prepared, and we highly recommend her! 👌”

“Lauren was so attentive and passionate about my furbabies needs. She frequently sent updates and pictures. They were always smiling and being pampered. They are definitely going to visit Lauren and Cooper again.”

“Ghost had the most fun at her house!! He swam (for the first time) and played his heart out. He was so tired when he came back home and I love that. Rachel was so nice and ghost looked sad when he started leaving!! Highly recommend he will stay again”

“Ms.Trinita is literally so awesome! She communicated with me and sent me tons of pics and vids, so that definitely put me at ease. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!! My Millie had the absolutest, bestest, awesomest, excitingest stay with Ms.Trinita! When she returned home, she laid around and slept for about two days and had no motivation to play with me. She was just too tired, haha. Which meant she had a great time, and obviously played nonstop while being there. I will absolutely do it again, and again, and...again.”

About: For as long as I can remember, there have always been pets in my life! Whether that was in my own home growing up, in a family member's home, at friends' houses, etc. I have often been the go-to person when it comes to caring for them when their owners are out of town. From walking, feeding, playing, administering medication, and more, I have absolutely loved getting to care for pets of all sizes and ages. As for my own pet experience, after moving to Birmingham in 2018 I applied to become a foster through Two by Two Rescue and began fostering (and quickly failed) with my sweet 13-year-old Pekingese, Max. He was truly the light of my life and we were the best of friends! He taught me a ton about how to care for senior dogs. Before his passing in 2021, I rescued my cat, Mews, and although she's a little hesitant around other pets she stays in her own space! At my own home, I do have stairs but have no issue helping any senior pups or dogs afraid of going upstairs feel comfortable. I used to have to carry Max all the time, haha. I'm also comfortable with pee pads as they used to be a staple in my apartment. I'm not particular about whether or not your pet is create trained and have no issue if they're not! As long as they'd be okay around my cat, I'm more than happy to let them roam around as they please. There are plenty of sidewalks around my apartment for walkies and we're close to a community park as well! Discussing my work schedule is something I do before my meet and greets just so we both have an understanding of expectations. However, my full-time job is a hybrid environment so I'm able to work remotely usually 2 days out of the week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) to care for your pet. On days I am in the office, I'm happy to run by your home during my lunch break if you're close to my office in Hoover. At my home, there is plenty of walking space to take your pup out and get some exercise. We can visit a local park near my house if that's something they'd enjoy. I'm also happy to crate your fur baby if needed.
About: I have always had pets since I was little. It first started with a horse named Star, then my family went to something smaller…a dog! I have had a miniature schnauzer who was sweet as gold to a cockapoo (cocker spaniel and poodle mixed) who was full of energy. I love dogs so much. I have bathed them, helped them be trained (crate and bathroom), and given them lots of love! It’s summer!!! So as a teacher I am free most of the week/weekends. I can basically do anything that doesn’t get in the way of my sons camps. At my apartment, we have lots of areas to walk. There is a dog park down the road as well. At your home I would follow what you would want me to do Iike walks, baths, treats, picking up after them, and so forth. I always clean up after myself and am OCD about cleanliness.
“Kelsey is amazing! She is so sweet and patient with our big guy, and also very understanding of his quirks and needs. We would absolutely trust Kelsey with him again, and we are so grateful to find someone so amazing to have him stay with!”

Homewood pet parents share their Rover experiences
Great experience! Austin accepted our last minute request, took care of my large 13 year old with arthritis, and managed his food and meds with no issue. It seems like he got plenty of walks and came home happy and healthy. I would absolutely board with Austin again!

Milo had such a great time with La Timberly! 🐾 I could tell he was genuinely happy and comfortable the whole time. She kept me updated with lots of pictures and videos, which I really appreciated, and she was always super responsive whenever I checked in. It made being away so much easier knowing he was in such good hands. I’d absolutely trust her with Milo again!

Kendall was so attentive to Rosie! Rosie is a rescue who is afraid of the world around her, but Kendall took great care of her and never gave up when Rosie was unsure of her new surroundings, making her as comfortable as possible. I’m so appreciative of how sweet she was with Rosie and how she navigated her challenges, including trying to make sure our non-food-motivated dog ate regularly while we were gone. I would definitely book with Kendall again!
