Hello! My name is Shelby and I would love to take care of your pets! I have a cat, a playful doodle named Weasley, and a sweet golden retriever named Roux who would love to show your pup our backyard while you’re away!

I booked this sitter more than a month in advance because I had an international business trip and needed to drop off Kai before my flight. On the day of drop-off, I sent a reminder that we would be there and also texted her when we were on the way, but received no response. We still went to the address as scheduled. We knocked on the door and could hear many dogs barking inside, but no one answered. All I see is the security camera outside blinking red and dogs barking endlessly. We waited for about 20 minutes, tried calling, and the call went straight to voicemail. A Rover agent also tried contacting her, but there was still no response. With our flight only three hours away, we had to scramble to find another sitter at the last minute, drive there, and we almost missed our flight. Because it was such a last-minute booking, I did not have time to properly research the new sitter, and I spent my entire trip worried about whether Kai was in good hands. I have never had this type of experience on Rover before. This was extremely stressful, irresponsible, and disappointing.

Shelby was amazing!! She took amazing care of our golden retriever and we never stressed or worried about her the entire time she was there. She actually brought Rory to our wedding for pictures which meant so much to us. She truly went above and beyond!
Shelby is great. We have used her multiple times for our dog Pepper and she always ensures she is well taken care of. She sends daily updates and we always return to a happy healthy pup.
Shelby was great as always! It’s evident she pays close attention to our dog’s needs and always ensures she has fun! We will definitely use her again.

Planning
I work full time so I am not home 9-5 during the week. I do have some flexibility to work from home or come home mid day but it’s not guaranteed! I have experience with large, small, hyper and low energy dogs. I grew up with a German Shepard, a shepherd and St. Bernard mix, and a lab. I have taken care of dogs from 1 year old shitzhus, 100 lbs boxers, and blind dachshunds. I'm flexible and very excited to hang out with your pets. I have two very friendly dogs who love to make new friends to play with in our fenced yard. Weasley and Roux are crate trained so I can easily crate your pup while I’m at work or I can let them lounge out if they’re trained and used to being able to roam!

We’re homebodies so we spend a lot of our weekends playing in the backyard and doing doggie puzzles to keep the mental stimulation going. I also love taking walks down in Railroad park so I’d be happy to take your pup on a stroll while they’re with me!
