“Laura is the best!! My dog Lucy may have been disappointed to come home. Laura loved on her just like she would have been loved on at home. Laura is set up to dog sit or board for dogs much better than any vet or other facility ever could be. She gave Lucy plenty of snacks and time outside. If you’re looking for someone near Chelsea, Mt Laurel, Greystone, she is the one- just don’t take her from me when I need her. :) Lucy loved her! 🩷🐾”

“They took great care of my Aussiedoodle. He looked so happy in every photo. She sent plenty of photos and him and each photo had a little blurb of how he was doing. It was very cute! I would totally trust them again with him. It makes it more enjoyable for him that they have their own dogs as well. I know he enjoyed playing with them.”

“I just don’t have words for how much we appreciate Shay and Zach. They have been our go-to sitters for both of our dogs for YEARS and they have an amazing time every time. You guys are the bomb!”

“I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter for Bleu!!! Ryan was great with Bleu, he sent photo updates, answered and replied to all my questions which gave me peace of mind. We had to change the dates bc we had an emergency and missed our flight. Ryan was so flexible and understanding. Ryan also has a lovely Mom and Dad, they’re a wonderful family and Bleu literally didn’t want to leave. I was shocked!! Im definitely booking Ryan again!!! Even if we arent going out of town I’ll be booking again just so she can visit her friend!!”

“Corlaeja really came through for me and Billy. It was a very last minute booking, and she was not only able to do it, she did it exceptionally well. My boy—who is a brat—looked happy and healthy in every photograph she sent (and she sent regular photographs). And, of course, he came back to me the same way I left him. I will definitely look to rebook with her the next time there is an opportunity. Thanks again!”

“Ms. Rachel took wonderful care of my 2 kids on a last minute booking! I even had them picked up and dropped back home. We communicated during their stay and everything went great. I will definitely use Ms. Rachel again!”

“We are the second time with Deby and are as happy as the first time. Hope that she agrees to take care of our Kotik in the future - he says thank you and is looking forward to stay with Deby again.”

“Harold did a wonderful job with our dog Maggie!! He was very kind and loving with her as she is a special needs dog that is deaf. He sent lots of pictures and kept us updated about her stay. I would highly recommend Harold for your boarding needs! 💗🐶”

“Amazing experience after adopting three young dogs from the Humane Society. It is so rare for us to board any of our pets. Normally we would board with our Vet. No openings led me to rover.com and to Jessica S. She was amazing and kept us in the loop with comments and adorable videos. Such a relief! Thank you Jessica S. for taking such loving care. Craig and Susan E.”

“Molly had a wonderful stay with Barrie! It was clear that Molly was loved on and well taken care of by the frequent updates, pictures, and videos we received from Barrie. Barrie loved Molly as if Molly was her own pup. Molly got tons of play time and had a blast.”

“Ashley was awesome with our two Boxer girls! Mags and Su had a blast playing in the big fenced back yard & with her pup and senior Boxer. I honestly think Su is going to have separation anxiety from Freya, she loved playing with her so much!! Ashley sent daily updates with photos/videos. We would highly recommend, especially if you have a Boxer, trusting Ashley with your fur babes!”

“Kendall is the best! Not only was she able to keep up with my pup, but she always reached out with updates! I was never worried about my dogs safety & I would 100% use Kendall again!”

“Miss Chrya was a simply AMAZING sitter. I knew, within 2 minutes of meeting her, that my pup would be safe and well cared for. How did I know this? Simple, by how all the animals responded to her. Even my pup, who normally has separation anxiety when I leave her somewhere, you would've thought I was just some random dude who brought her over to play at her best friend's house. HIRE this woman, and then don't worry an iota about your animal getting the care it deserves. Definitely will be a repeat customer next time I need to use this site.”

“Libby was so wonderful. Our dog is so timid with everyone and I love how much care and attention she was given. I also loved the pictures and updates. My family will be using her again.”

My kitten stayed with Jennifer for four days and she looked happy and comfortable throughout. Jennifer is very good about responding to text and she sent me a couple pictures with updates. She was kind and very helpful. I would definitely reach out to her again when I need a cat sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
