About: I currently have two rescue cats (Lewis & Clark) who run the place, and before adopting them I grew up with just about every kind of pet imaginable—dogs of all sizes, cats, rabbits, chickens, bearded dragons, and a few others along the way. While I'm a proud cat mom, I absolutely love dogs too! My current place isn't quite big enough for one of my own, so getting to spend time with other people's pups is the next best thing. Whether your pet loves long walks, endless games of fetch, playing with cat toys, or simply having someone to keep them company, I am happy to do it all. My schedule is very open, allowing me to accommodate a variety of drop-in visits throughout the day. Whether your pet needs a quick potty break, playtime, or a little extra company, I'm happy to work around their routine to make sure they feel comfortable and cared for. During every drop-in visit, I'll make sure your pet has everything they need, whether that's fresh food and water, clean litter boxes, playtime, medication (if needed), or simply some extra love and attention. I know every pet has their own routine and personality, so I'll always follow your instructions carefully to help them feel as comfortable as possible. I also love to send photos and updates!

“Cameron was absolutely outstanding. We were away at the beach for a full week, and he took incredible care of our dogs the entire time. He went above and beyond, sending regular updates and photos that gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. It was obvious from every picture and message that our dogs were happy, comfortable, and receiving plenty of attention and affection. Cameron treated them like they were his own. He was reliable, communicative, trustworthy, and genuinely cared about our pets. We cannot say enough good things about our experience. If you are looking for someone who will take exceptional care of your dogs and keep you informed every step of the way, Cameron is your guy. We will absolutely book with him again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a pet sitter. Five stars. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”

“First time using Rover and was so pleased with how helpful Kyle has been. He was fantastic with our cats for an entire week and followed my instructions beautifully. Highly recommend Kyle and will be using him for our future cat-sitting needs 😻😻”

“Devin is a life saver. I’ve had the pleasure of having her multiple times now to look after my 2 cats and they love her to death! She’s such a huge help. Always gives me so many pictures and updates!!”

“I asked a lot from Katharine for her 30-minute visits & it seems she handled everything very well. She was very sweet and helpful. I will call on you again. Thank you! Anne Armstrong”

“Emily has been over for our pup twice now for drop in visits. She is super sweet and professional- our dog is always happy to see her and she is extremely flexible when she can be. We really do appreciate all her services- would highly recommend.”

“Gumball managed to get out of the house and Hannah made an extra trip to find him. She managed to secure his exit means so he couldn’t escape again. Cat is resourceful.”

About: For as long as I can remember, there have always been pets in my life! Whether that was in my own home growing up, in a family member's home, at friends' houses, etc. I have often been the go-to person when it comes to caring for them when their owners are out of town. From walking, feeding, playing, administering medication, and more, I have absolutely loved getting to care for pets of all sizes and ages. As for my own pet experience, after moving to Birmingham in 2018 I applied to become a foster through Two by Two Rescue and began fostering (and quickly failed) with my sweet 13-year-old Pekingese, Max. He was truly the light of my life and we were the best of friends! He taught me a ton about how to care for senior dogs. Before his passing in 2021, I rescued my cat, Mews, and although she's a little hesitant around other pets she stays in her own space! At my own home, I do have stairs but have no issue helping any senior pups or dogs afraid of going upstairs feel comfortable. I used to have to carry Max all the time, haha. I'm also comfortable with pee pads as they used to be a staple in my apartment. I'm not particular about whether or not your pet is create trained and have no issue if they're not! As long as they'd be okay around my cat, I'm more than happy to let them roam around as they please. There are plenty of sidewalks around my apartment for walkies and we're close to a community park as well! Discussing my work schedule is something I do before my meet and greets just so we both have an understanding of expectations. However, my full-time job is a hybrid environment so I'm able to work remotely usually 2 days out of the week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) to care for your pet. On days I am in the office, I'm happy to run by your home during my lunch break if you're close to my office in Hoover. At my home, there is plenty of walking space to take your pup out and get some exercise. We can visit a local park near my house if that's something they'd enjoy. I'm also happy to crate your fur baby if needed.
“Cody was amazing! He took great care of our two dogs over the weekend and went above and beyond to make sure they were happy. Will definitely be asking Cody to return. Thank you Cody!”

About: I’ve been around all types of animals my whole life. I love to spend time with pets and be able to help out. I am active and can run around with your pets or sit and chill with them. I am a full time student in College at Samford University. Where I am on the track team and in sorority life. This would be a side hustle for me but that doesn’t mean I will put in any less effort. This is something I love to do. I have one loving dog of my own. I understand that pets need space sometimes and can recognize that. I love to give rubs and treats when deserved and play with them.
“Hannah was so amazing with our kiddos- sent us lots of pictures and updates every visit! We’ll definitely be reaching out again next time we’re out of town. Thank you Hannah! 🤍”

About: I grew up with a cat of 14 years and later my family adopted a husky which stole our hearts! Since, I have cared for not only my sisters set of 2 beautiful golden retrievers since they were brought home but other dogs of clients and I currently live with a cat! I am currently a 4th year medical student at UAB. My clinical rotation schedule currently is extremely light for the month of February I after 12 PM. And through March April in the first half of May, I am pretty much fully free. Under my care, pets will be brought outside for a potty breaks or a walk only on a safe leash. No dogs will be brought anywhere near roads or construction where they could get injured.
“Saraelizabeth was absolutely amazing with both our dog and cat! She always worked out ways to keep them engaged even if the weather was bad and even got our grumpy elderly cat to come up and love on her and play with her so she is a total cat whisperer. Even all the crazy energy our dog has didn’t deter her and we are so happy we trusted her with our pets while we were on vacation.”

Wow I can’t recommend Britiany enough! She goes above and beyond to do a great job of taking care of our cat Zola. She provided very thorough report cards, sent pictures and even took Polaroid pictures of our cat while we were away. Those are now on our fridge because they are so precious! We feel so much better about going away knowing she is so well taken care of. Will definitely be using her again!

Melissa is the BEST pet sitter ever. Her visit reports are very thorough and quite entertaining. We have the greatest peace of mind knowing she is checking in on our kitties (and medicating them, as needed). We've been using her for maybe two years now and trust her completely.

Kyle came once a day to look in on our cats, give them fresh food and water, and take care of the litter boxes. He communicated every day to let me know how it was going - even though the cats didn't come out for him (I have since talked to the cats about showing some gratitude). He was easy to work with. When we met in person I could tell he cared a lot about animals and had great attention to detail. Definitely will have Kyle back, and maybe the cats will be more appreciative this time.

Hannah did a great job taking care of my boys! This is my second time booking with her and I will definitely be booking again for future care. Hannah does a great job communicating, letting me feel at ease that my cats have the best possible care while I’m away.

Grace was an incredible addition to our home while we were away. She consistently posted updates and photos of our cats, which made me feel so much better about being away from them. She is reliable, trustworthy, and clearly cares deeply for the pets she watches. She kept them well fed, maintained the litter box, and gave us total peace of mind while we traveled. I would absolutely recommend Grace to anyone looking for someone to take great care of their pets.

Julianna was on time, kind, and patient with our cat. He is very timid around new people and we appreciate that she took her time with him and took care of his needs. This was the longest we’ve been away from our cat and we could tell he was doing well with each photo and feedback received!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
