“Cody was great with our dog! We received cute photo and video updates during the day, and our dog seemed happy when he came home. What more can you ask for? Thank you!”

“My babies came home fully intact! No parts missing lol! Jessica was a great host for my children. She sent updates throughout the day along with photographs. From the moment I dropped them off I was confident I had chosen the right person for the task. She is a pleasant human with a big heart. Yep, my babies came home just as I dropped them off, happy and all parts intact! Thank you Jessica!”

“I appreciate Riley for taking in Bailey at the last minute. She was kind and kept me informed. Bailey was feeling a bit anxious and she was able to calm her down. Can't thank her enough for helping us out.”

About: I have diverse experience in animal care from my own pets, to neighbors and family members’ furry friends, and even professionally with wildlife. I am excited and honored to care for your family, both human and animal. I work sporting events freelance and am looking to add a little work on the side. I am free almost every weekday and most weekends. I do have an apartment most suitable for smaller dogs, however I have access to ample green space and neighborhoods to walk and play in. In your home, I will respect your space while keeping your furry friend in an environment they know.
About: I am an extremely caring and loving individual, who has owned two dogs, two cats, and dozens of other pets. Therefore I know how to accommodate whatever needs your pet might have. Having lost my oldest dog recently, being around other animals is fun and therapeutic for me as well. I am looking for work to supplement playing gigs on the weekend. Since I spend much time writing music at home, I will have plenty of time to spend with your pet. I have an easy going schedule being a teacher and musician. I have plenty of time to meet with your pet to attend to whatever needs they might have. I have plenty of space for pets to roam around my house. I also have a fenced in back yard where I like to spend time with my dog or friends dogs when the warmer weather is here.
“Amy has been watching Greta, my very active GSP puppy, these past couple of weeks and so far it has been great. She has a dog and a toddler that gets plenty of interaction with our puppy and Greta is always happy to go back to see her new friends. I am very appreciative of Amy’s willingness to work with our busy schedules that fluctuate for drop off and pick up.”
About: Growing up I was the girl on the street who preferred petsitting to babysitting, and as soon I could in my 20s, I adopted the sickest oldest cats in the facilities and loved them until their deaths. In my 30s I’ve mixed it up and have two big rescue dogs, and we’ve been at the dog park nearly every day for 6 years now. Wow they grow fast! I’d love to share a moment of your lives with a walk or overnight, and I’ll treat them like family — only better. :) I am available Monday-Sunday. There are many parks and we walk several times a day and play on- and off-leash. Basically, my two dogs are my life right now so I thought I’d try this to have something to do! I have a two-bedroom apartment but one is devoted to the dogs and there is extra space in my master room if dogs don’t need to sleep together. While I only have a balcony, it is good enough for my dogs to sunbathe on and stare at passersby. Additionally, there are many parks nearby and we walk several times a day and play, off- and on-leash available. I’m open for questions. I’d love to have your pet to add to my life while I pursue stand up comedy.

I’m experienced giving medicine to dogs and I am very attentive to any and all pets. I am very detail oriented and very reliable.

I am and independent contractor, and basically has plenty of time on my hands: I will go the extra mile to make sure everything is okay I devote so much time with other peoples dogs it’s insane. lol but I love it , and wouldn’t have it any other way !
About: I’ve had dogs my whole life, my mom and grandmother started the humane society in my hometown so we have always taken care of animals. I will take care of your dog like it was my own. I love all animals but especially dogs! I currently work from home so I am available to watch your dog during the day or overnight boarding. I can do drop ins or walks after 4pm. I have a fenced in yard and a dog door so they have access to come in and out as they please. I also have a big energetic German shepherd lab mix that will play with your dog all day! We have daily frisbee tosses and fetch in the backyard.

My goal is to make sure your pup feels safe, loved, and right at home while you’re away. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I work remotely from home and have a flexible schedule. I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy and well cared for.
About: I was trained how to train dogs at an early age after our first dog was trained by our breeder. Since then I trained 2 golden retrievers and an Australian Cattle dog (red heeler). Both breeds are strong willed and have high energy. I work from home and so have a lot of freedom to break away to take care of dogs. I enjoy taking care of dogs and sharing the knowledge from my experience of training and raising dogs. I have a large beautiful fenced yard, have multiple crates for use and live within walking distance of a dog park. I have kids that will make sure your dog gets lots of love while being boarded.

“This Riley's first stay with Breanna and Jason and it was a big hit 😀 Riley came home happy and tired 🤗 I will say that Breanna and Jason have a very handsome Golden of their own that might have influenced Riley's attitude 😉 Both of the hoomans were kind, courteous and flexible with my plans and took time to properly introduce my Riley to their home and see that she was well cared for. We look forward to seeing Breanna and Jason and family again soon 😊”

“I absolutely cannot compromise on is knowing my sweet puppy Mango is not just safe, but truly loved, happy, and well-cared for while I’m away. That’s where Adelle comes in, and she has been nothing short of a miracle. Adelle has given me something priceless: true peace of mind. Knowing Mango is in her loving hands allows me to focus completely on my craft without that worry in the back of my mind. For a chef who lives and breathes their passion, that trust is everything. Adelle, I honestly couldn’t repay you in this lifetime for the comfort and joy you bring to both Mango and me. You’re not just a dog sitter you’re a friend, again thank you so much ❤️🤍💙⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🥭 - Chef Jay & Mango ✨✨”

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
