“Doug did a great job taking care of our dog, Paisley! We were visiting family and needed a sitter in a pinch (during a holiday weekend no less) and Doug was super quick to respond and help us out. He provided nice updates with photos, and it was clear Paisley had a great time and was well taken care of. He even took the extra effort to replace her ball when she lost it the bushes while playing outside. Would definitely use Doug again.”

About: I know how stressful it can be to choose someone to care for your pets, and I’ve totally been there. I have two small dogs myself, and I hate leaving them behind. My goal is to give you peace of mind, knowing your pets are safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I’ve cared for animals my whole life, from cats, and dogs, to even an abandoned deer for two days. I’d love to be your best friend’s new best friend! Currently, I’m a stay at home dog mom. I take my boys to the Red Mountain or Vestavia Hills Dog Park almost everyday, and they couldn’t be happier! Whether your pet stays with me or I come to you, they’ll be cared for just like my own. About: Pets have been a part of my life since before I can remember! As a yellow lab and cat owner, I understand how deeply we care for our furry friends. I will do everything I can to make sure your pet feels safe and cared for while you’re away! I work from home two days a week, and can devote ample amounts of time caring for pets throughout the day. I take my dog for daily walks and spend lots of time outside in our backyard. Pets need to feel safe in their environment. I’ll be there for pets, games, naps, walks, and whatever else might be needed to make your pet feel comfortable.

About: What sets me apart from other pet sitters is my deep understanding and love for animals. I believe that pets are not just animals but they are members of the family. Therefore, I treat them with the same care and respect as their owners would. I stay home most of the day so the pet is not left alone for any extended amount of time and if I am not home then they will be in the area I keep my dogs. Firstly, I ensure that pets have access to clean water and food at all times. Secondly, they should be given regular exercise and playtime as per their breed and age requirements. Thirdly, it is crucial to maintain good hygiene by keeping their living space clean and grooming them regularly.

About: I was trained how to train dogs at an early age after our first dog was trained by our breeder. Since then I trained 2 golden retrievers and an Australian Cattle dog (red heeler). Both breeds are strong willed and have high energy. I work from home and so have a lot of freedom to break away to take care of dogs. I enjoy taking care of dogs and sharing the knowledge from my experience of training and raising dogs. I have a large beautiful fenced yard, have multiple crates for use and live within walking distance of a dog park. I have kids that will make sure your dog gets lots of love while being boarded.

About: I have always loved animals and have taken care of one kind of animal or another for as long as I can remember. As a teen I volunteered at animal shelters, then as adult I became a foster for the Humane Society in Jacksonville Florida for years before moving to Birmingham last year. I miss having the opportunity to care for a variety of animals and getting to know them if only for a short while. I've taken care of very tiny newborns, sick, old, special needs and of course healthy animals. It would be my pleasure to welcome your fur babies with open arms into my home or yours. They will be treated like my own. If you are in the process of training, I will pick up where you left off with potty, leash training, etc. I can give baths and brushes if needed. I am a independent contractor and I make my own schedule. My work is very pet friendly so at the discretion of the parents, if they enjoy car rides, they can can either come with or I will stay home with them during their stay. I am very flexible. Whether my home or yours, I will follow your instructions / schedule down to the last detail. I always strive to provide a safe, loving, fun and learning environment that caters to your individual pet's needs.

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life, my mom and grandmother started the humane society in my hometown so we have always taken care of animals. I will take care of your dog like it was my own. I love all animals but especially dogs! I currently work from home so I am available to watch your dog during the day or overnight boarding. I can do drop ins or walks after 4pm. My wife is a RN so she is home 4 days a week to help watch and play with your dog also! Someone will always be available to supervise your pet and can update you with pictures through their stay! I have a fenced in yard and a dog door so they have access to come in and out as they please. I also have a big energetic German shepherd lab mix that will play with your dog all day! We have daily frisbee tosses and fetch in the backyard.

I feel brain stimulation of any kind keeps them happy and healthy! Walks are important! Enrichment time along with gentle training: treats to sit or lay down.

About: Hi! My whole life has resolved around dogs and I couldn’t imagine a world without them! I grew up with a daushaund, 2 labs, and a cocker spaniel so I am comfortable with all shapes and sizes of dogs. This past June, my husband surprised me with a golden retriever, Huck, and to say we are obsessed is an understatement. We don’t have any children so we will have plenty of time to devote to your pup to make sure he or she has the best day ever! My husband and I both work from home 100% of the time so we will have plenty of time to care for your pup! We are available Monday through Friday and are super flexible with the times! We have a fenced in back yard and live in a safe neighborhood with lots of walking trails around us. We have year old golden retriever who LOVES other dogs and can’t wait to meet new friends!
