About: Not only have I been dog sitting for the last 15 years, but I also have a lot of other experience with pet care! I have worked in a pet store as well as in veterinary offices when I used to live back in Indiana so I have learned a lot about caring for animals. I attended veterinary nursing school too before I moved, but I didn’t get to finish before moving down here and am currently looking to re start schooling here in Alabama. While I there I gained even more knowledge on animal health and care. I was the kennel manager for the shelter pets that we had at the school, where I was in charge of administering oral and IV/IM pet medication. I have experience working with elderly pets with medical issues as my own fur baby who passed in 2025 suffered from CHF and she required a lot of extra care towards the end. I love all types of animals and have experience caring for not only just dogs and cats. Over the years I have owned reptiles, turtles, and currently own 2 rabbits as well as 2 cats and 1 dog! If you book with me I will treat your pet as though they were my own so you can rest easy knowing they are loved and taken care of! I only work part time, so I have a very flexible schedule. I will have plenty of time to spend time with your pet! I am not typically away from home for very long, so I will be able to regularly come to check on your pet. I have a large fenced in yard and a dog door that my two dogs go in and out of freely. I will walk or run with your dog daily. There is usually always someone in my house at home at all times, who all love to interact with dogs. I have one other dogs. She is typically nice with other dogs but can be very skittish, so they would need to be introduced prior to being watched. The safety and comfort of all of the dogs including my own are my priority, so it needs to be a good fit. My dog does love to play a lot so they usually enjoy having another furry friend to play with. My 2 cats and 2 rabbits also live in the home, but the layout of the house allows them to stay in the upstairs portion of the house and it is blocked off to allow them to be separated. They all get along, but I feel more comfortable to allow them to have their own spaces.

About: I had 3 cocker spaniels as a kid, separately, loved them, they loved me. Did everything together. Would love more time with dogs. Cats, too I work 5 evenings a week from 5pm-10, (shorter that overnight sleep), off Monday and Thursday. It has worked out great for both sides. Just a mile from home. There’s community property where pets do their business, we’re required to pick up poop. All dogs are leashed to avoid issues. Leashing required in Hoover.

I have many years of experience helping numerous animals, together or separately. If your pet would be staying with me my cats will not be an issue. My dog is extremely friendly but also, does not have to be there during your pets stay, should it be an issue. I offer in home boarding @ my home. I offer walking your dog, doggy daycare, spending time with your cat(s), and any other accommodations that maybe needed.

About: My experience with dogs is not as extensive as my cat experience however I learned a lot in owning a dog for a little while. I do not currently have a job so my schedule is fairly open. Once I am employed full time my availability will only be afternoons and weekends. I can easily crate a dog. I can take your fur baby on walks and spend time with them inside your home. For cats I will make sure to feed them, and play with them if they are willing.

About: I am an extremely caring and loving individual, who has owned two dogs, two cats, and dozens of other pets. Therefore I know how to accommodate whatever needs your pet might have. Having lost my oldest dog recently, being around other animals is fun and therapeutic for me as well. I am looking for work to supplement playing gigs on the weekend. Since I spend much time writing music at home, I will have plenty of time to spend with your pet. I have an easy going schedule being a teacher and musician. I have plenty of time to meet with your pet to attend to whatever needs they might have. I have plenty of space for pets to roam around my house. About: I have 2 labs that have been a member of our family for 15 years. I also volunteer at the shelby co. humane society and the birmngham zoo. I understand why most people do not board with a vet and I feel the same way. My animals always have less stress and handle the seperation from human members alot easier. your furry family members are very important an I could not agree more. The dog park is one of our fovorite places.

Pets need routines just as much as humans do for a sense of calm and safety. To continue to keep your (our) fur baby safe I will keep trash cans covered or inside a latched cabinet. Move all chemicals to high shelves or behind secure doors. Keep cords, chargers, and other potentially harmful items out of reach.
