I am free almost every weekday and most weekends. I do have an apartment most suitable for smaller dogs, however I have access to ample green space and neighborhoods to walk and play in. About: I have been taking care of my friends and families animals since I was a child. I currently have a 7 year old male Shiba Inu that I’ve raised from 9 weeks old. He’s very friendly, and potty trained. He gets tons of love all the time, along with our male 5 year old Staffordshire Pitbull Terrier named Skipper. I will be more than happy to take care of and play with your animals/babies. I keep the dogs on a close leash to me when walking. I would prefer a harness if they are not leash trained, to avoid tugging or pulling. I always keep a couple plastic bags handy for picking up poop when needed. I graduated in 2022 with a bachelors degree in Biochemistry from the University of North Florida. I am currently a full time veterinary technician at Avondale Animal Hospital and I am more than happy to help out. I keep my dogs on a daily schedule so I understand the need for routine. Currently just moved to the area and learning my way around, I’d be happy to fit you in. I prefer visits at the client’s home to ensure safety of the pet and to make sure they are not stressed from a new place.

About: I have owned numerous pets and cared for many more like they were my own. Deep affection for critters and intentional about caregiving for these precious family members and homes. I’m also good with plants and fish! I am a contracted fisheries observer in the Bering Sea, and take seasons off when I'm able. This allows me a very flexible schedule in my week and this August-December. I can drive to the pets and homes which need my care and take pets on hikes, walks, play dates, give baths and meds, and/or any other needs they have. I can also ensure the home is locked and secured and kept tidy.

I am available for boarding some weekdays all day, but I will need notice 5 days and to coordinate in advance for boarding on a weekday before 7 pm due to shifting schedule days. I am available to sit weekends and after 7 pm on weekdays. Can do daytime feedings or walks 2 or 3 times a day. I’m currently working full-time at UAB Hospital (3 12 hr shifts/week). For boarding, I am in a one bedroom apartment with no other pets and decent play space. I have no toys, litter boxes, or cat trees so will need to provide their own. I live next to a large unfenced park. The apartment is clean and tidy and safe for pets. The apartment building also has a pet bathing station available if your pet needs cleaning. If you are concerned with a public bathing station, I am perfectly comfortable bathing your pet in the bath in my apartment. Please, let me know of any health or hygiene issues beforehand. Medications/allergies/health concerns are extremely important to me. For sitting, I will clean any pet messes if needed. Require a decently clean home and closer distance if overnight sitting is needed. Please, let me know of any concerns ahead of time. For walks, please let me know an estimated average walk time for your pet so that they are comfortable and happy!

For everyone's safety and comfort, I currently only offer care in my client's home. My family dog is not comfortable around unfamiliar animals, so I don't provide boarding in my own home. About: I have animal experience in a shelter setting and in a medical setting. I’m currently working at a veterinary office as a kennel attendant. I’m also able to administer medications orally or via injections. I work from 8-6, but I get a two hour lunch. I’m able to drop in and check on animals in the mornings, on my lunch break and after work. I’m always mindful of an animals mood and try to adjust accordingly. If there’s treats, toys or routine that make an animal comfortable the that’s what I try to follow.

I may step out for an hour or two at a time to run errands or grab food, but my personal hobbies and activities are planned around those responsibilities, not the other way around. I care for pets in their own home by following the routines and instructions their owners provide as closely as possible. I make sure feeding schedules, walks, medications, playtime, and household rules remain consistent so pets can stay comfortable in a familiar environment. I pay extremely close attention to doors, gates, leashes, food restrictions, and anything else that could affect their safety. I also keep the home secure and tidy, clean up after the pets, and communicate with the owner if I notice anything unusual in their behavior, appetite, routine, or environment. I am also happy to handle routine household tasks such as watering plants, retrieving mail, and keeping an eye on the property while you are away. My goal is to make the experience as normal and low-stress as possible for both the pets and their owners.
