About: I’ve been pet sitting for over 10 years and truly love spending time with animals. I have experience caring for senior dogs, blind dogs, dogs that need medication, and pets with unique routines and needs. As a pet owner myself, I know how important it is to find someone you can trust with your furry family member. I pride myself on being attentive, patient, and dependable, and I always make sure every pet receives the love, care, and attention they deserve. Whether it’s sticking to a feeding schedule, giving medications, or simply providing extra cuddles and playtime, I’ll treat your pet like one of my own My schedule is flexible, allowing me to provide walks, drop-in visits, feeding, playtime, medication if needed, and plenty of love and attention. I do my best to accommodate each pet’s unique routine and am committed to being reliable, communicative, and punctual so you can feel confident your pet is well cared for while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and any special care instructions so they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. I provide plenty of love, attention, playtime, and exercise, while keeping a close eye on their well-being. I’ll also keep you updated with messages and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy and in good hands.
“Sara did a great job taking care of our toy poodles for a week! She was great about coming to meet them before we went out of town, and she texted me every day to tell me how they were doing. I will use her again!”

About: I have diverse experience in animal care from my own pets, to neighbors and family members’ furry friends, and even professionally with wildlife. I am excited and honored to care for your family, both human and animal. I work sporting events freelance and am looking to add a little work on the side. I am free almost every weekday and most weekends. I do have an apartment most suitable for smaller dogs, however I have access to ample green space and neighborhoods to walk and play in. In your home, I will respect your space while keeping your furry friend in an environment they know.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of every size and personality since I was 14, and I treat every pet like they’re my own. Neighbors, friends, and family rely on me because I’m patient, gentle, and really pay attention to what each dog needs. I’m great with shy or anxious pets, and I know how to keep energetic dogs active, happy, and safe. Whether it’s walking, feeding, playtime, or baths, I make sure every pet feels loved and cared for the entire time you’re away. Your fur baby will always be my priority. I’m a nursing student with a very flexible schedule, so it’s easy for me to fit pet care into my day. I love having animals as part of my daily routine, and I’m happy to adjust to whatever schedule your fur baby needs. Your pet’s safety and comfort mean everything to me. I take my time to learn what each fur baby needs so they always feel calm and cared for. Whether I’m in your home or mine, you can trust that your pet will be loved, watched closely, and treated gently every moment they’re with me.
About: First off, I love dogs! The relationship we share with them is unbreakable. I’ve always had dogs in my life, ever since I was a little girl. I have experienced dogs ranging from toy poodles to roitweilers. I have gained knowledge on the diffeeent personalities of dogs and not one is the same, which makes dogs so interesting. My personality, nevertheless, is kind. I enjoy making people’s day and helping others out through volunteering. I am currently a student at the University of South Alabama and majoring in accounting. With this being my major it is clear I like a challenge. It allows for no dull moments and to keep me very well organized with my day-to-day life. I am dedicated to strive and succeed in life.
About: I’m 39 years old and there has been a pet in my life since I was 7. I’m an only child and my pets quickly became like siblings (we didn’t fight like them, promise). I became the primary caregiver for my mom’s two senior mini dachshunds a few years ago and was able to get them crate and pee-pad trained. One of them crossed the rainbow bridge sadly, but my other little old lady is doing well. I fall in love with every animal I see and I would love the chance to fall in love with yours. I’m currently working a full time second shift job (1pm-11pm) so I have the mornings completely open to check on your babies. I’m also a night owl and have no problem doing a nighttime check after work or begin an overnight stay. If you have a fenced yard, I will let them outside and let them do their business before tossing a ball or toy or running around with them to get the zoomies out. If no yard, then I will take them out on a leash for a walk then some playtime inside. Food and water will be checked and refilled; cuddles will be provided at will. :)

About: I have taken care of dogs and cats my whole life. I have trained two puppies. My boyfriend has a chameleon so I am good with all types of animals. I work in healthcare so I am free 4 days out of the week. I have lots of time on my off days to pick up side work and would love your fur baby to be a part of it! I currently live in an apartment, but I would love to take your dog out to the park. I go on regular hikes so they can come with me!

I have lot of experience with cats and dogs since I currently have four cats and two dogs. I have experience with pets with health problems as one of my cats is prone to UTIs. Im currently a stay at home girlfriend who just focuses on renovating our home with various house projects, playing and taking care of our lil zoo, and works on mysmall business. Since I do everything for myself, my partner, or our animals I have a very flexible schedule. I am clean and tidy and more than happy to adhere to any rules that pet parents might have. If walks or potty breaks are needed I’m more than happy to get out stretch my legs and can even offer playtime for dogs or cats who think they’re dogs.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Shannon walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Shannon maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Shannon choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Shannon. On Rover:
- 96% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
