She was also wonderful with our other pets and gave each of them the attention and care they needed. One thing that really amazed me was that she got my 17-year-old cat, who is normally extremely nervous about meeting new people, to sit in her lap! About: I’ve taken care of pets since I was a kiddo! Dogs and cats. I had my maltipoo, Georgie, for 18 years. I had my cowboy corgi, Squeaks, for 4 years and just recently lost him due to cancer. He is missed very much. My work schedule is very flexible. I work from home and usually within an hour of Birmingham. Rarely travel out of town. I make my own schedule. My latest pup, Squeaks, had cancer. He was on a holistic journey from July to Thanksgiving. He was on all natural supplements and I also cooked his food fresh every week. Ground turkey, sweet potatoes and veggies. Unfortunately, his Tumor had progressed and I had to make the best decision for him a few weeks ago.

About: I was trained how to train dogs at an early age after our first dog was trained by our breeder. Since then I trained 2 golden retrievers and an Australian Cattle dog (red heeler). Both breeds are strong willed and have high energy. I work from home and so have a lot of freedom to break away to take care of dogs. I enjoy taking care of dogs and sharing the knowledge from my experience of training and raising dogs. I have a large beautiful fenced yard, have multiple crates for use and live within walking distance of a dog park. I have kids that will make sure your dog gets lots of love while being boarded.

About: I have cared for a variety of animals and am comfortable caring for any pet (including exotic or uncommon), any age, any size, any level of care, and any personality! I have past experience caring for senior animals (including dogs, cats, and horses) as well as animals under age 1 (including dogs and cats). I often volunteer at the Birmingham Humane Society! Although I am not offering training services, I have experience training and am willing to uphold any training regimen. I have experience shadowing a household pet veterinarian as well as an equine veterinarian. I also have farm animal care experience. I love playtime and am very attentive! I am very excited to care for your pet! I am available for boarding weekends and weekdays after 7 pm. My apartment is the perfect environment for boarding! I am available for boarding some weekdays all day, but I will need notice 5 days and to coordinate in advance for boarding on a weekday before 7 pm due to shifting schedule days. I am available to sit weekends and after 7 pm on weekdays. Can do daytime feedings or walks 2 or 3 times a day. For boarding, I am in a one bedroom apartment with no other pets and decent play space. I have no toys, litter boxes, or cat trees so will need to provide their own. I live next to a large unfenced park. The apartment is clean and tidy and safe for pets. The apartment building also has a pet bathing station available if your pet needs cleaning. If you are concerned with a public bathing station, I am perfectly comfortable bathing your pet in the bath in my apartment. Please, let me know of any health or hygiene issues beforehand. Medications/allergies/health concerns are extremely important to me. For sitting, I will clean any pet messes if needed. Require a decently clean home and closer distance if overnight sitting is needed. Please, let me know of any concerns ahead of time. For walks, let me know an estimated average walk time for your pet so that they are comfortable and happy!

House sitting is my primary pet-care focus and one of my main work priorities, so I keep my schedule flexible around the needs and routines of the animals I am staying with. I do not have a rigid daily schedule, which allows me to accommodate feeding times, walks, medications, playtime, and other routines as needed. These responsibilities come first while I am caring for a pet. I may step out for an hour or two at a time to run errands or grab food, but my personal hobbies and activities are planned around those responsibilities, not the other way around. I care for pets in their own home by following the routines and instructions their owners provide as closely as possible. I make sure feeding schedules, walks, medications, playtime, and household rules remain consistent so pets can stay comfortable in a familiar environment. I pay extremely close attention to doors, gates, leashes, food restrictions, and anything else that could affect their safety. I also keep the home secure and tidy, clean up after the pets, and communicate with the owner if I notice anything unusual in their behavior, appetite, routine, or environment. I am also happy to handle routine household tasks such as watering plants, retrieving mail, and keeping an eye on the property while you are away. My goal is to make the experience as normal and low-stress as possible for both the pets and their owners.

About: I have volunteered at my local humane society for about 3 or 4 years! I started after I brought in a puppy from the street and they loved that I loved a dog I’ve never even met so much to take her home and they signed me up for volunteer work! I love dogs so much I will always make time for them! Aghhh I can’t even put it into words how much I love dogs! I take great care of my pets! They all have had birthday parties as well as their own clothes for winter and things! I love all pets the same!

About: I have animal experience in a shelter setting and in a medical setting. I’m currently working at a veterinary office as a kennel attendant. I’m also able to administer medications orally or via injections. I work from 8-6, but I get a two hour lunch. I’m able to drop in and check on animals in the mornings, on my lunch break and after work. I’m always mindful of an animals mood and try to adjust accordingly. If there’s treats, toys or routine that make an animal comfortable the that’s what I try to follow.
