Mally and our dog, Bea, get along great, and we're so happy to have found a new dog sitter in Chelsea. We just moved here from Nashville a few weeks ago. Mally is conscientious, kind, and very experienced with dog care and house sitting. We will definitely book her again in the future!

She is an AMAZING sitter. My dog is an anxious and very shy dog, but she warmed up quicker to Taylor than anybody else we’ve had her meet. She sent the most beautiful pictures (I’m having one blown up to frame!) videos, and my pup seems to love her. Will absolutely book again, she is worth every penny and couldn’t be sweeter!

About: Hi there! I’m Izzy, and I am thrilled to help you provide the best possible care for your sweet babies. Whether your pet needs a dedicated companion for drop-in visits or a reliable walker, I am here to ensure they are safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. I’m a lifelong animal lover and a cat mom to my two babies, Juno and Iris. I have had my cats for two years now, which has deepened my passion for feline care. Because of this, I specialize in cat care and am fully comfortable handling the unique needs of cats. I have hands-on experience administering medication and remaining observant to feline behaviors. I have learned to recognize the subtle tell-tale signs that a cat may be feeling off or stressed, ensuring I can advocate for your pet’s health if necessary. When it comes to dogs, I have experience managing multiple dogs at a time, so I am comfortable handling the energy and attention required for your pups. I focus my services on small to medium-sized dogs, ensuring they get the focused, quality attention they deserve. I offer dog walking and drop-in visits. During our time together, I am happy to provide plenty of enrichment, including active playtime, gentle walks, and, of course, lots of snuggle time! I pride myself on being professional, reliable, and deeply empathetic to the needs of the animals in my care. I currently work a full-time job. I am available to offer consistent, dependable care during the following hours: Weekdays: Early mornings (before 8:00 AM) and evenings (after 5:00 PM). Weekends: Open availability throughout the day. I look forward to meeting you and your pets soon and becoming a trusted partner in their care! I currently work full-time during the week, so I’m especially excited to spend quality time with your fur baby on Saturdays and Sundays. I’m also available in the early morning and evening on weekdays. My goal is to help your pet feel as relaxed, safe, and loved as possible while you’re away. I believe caring for animals goes beyond just meeting their basic needs; it’s about showing them consistent affection, attention, and comfort. Every animal deserves emotional care, and I’m here to provide that with patience and kindness.

About: Hi! I’ve been pet sitting for over 10 years and have experience caring for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities. From energetic puppies to senior pets, I always make sure every animal feels safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. I’m extremely reliable, communicative, and treat every pet like my own. I also have plenty of references from happy pet owners who trust me with their furry family members. Whether your pet needs walks, playtime, cuddles, or extra patience and care, I’d love to help! I am currently in graduate school pursuing my doctorate in Occupational Therapy. I’ve been pet sitting for over 10 years and have experience caring for animals of all sizes, breeds, and personalities. As a pet owner myself, I understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy, patient, and dependable to care for your pets while you’re away. I’m very reliable, communicative, and treat every animal like my own. I’m also available for overnight stays to help keep your pets comfortable and maintain their normal routine. I have plenty of references from happy pet owners and would love the opportunity to care for your pets! When caring for pets in clients’ homes, I prioritize safety, routine, and respect for both the animals and the home environment. I follow all owner instructions closely, including feeding schedules, medication needs, walking routines, and any behavioral considerations. I make sure doors, gates, and crates are always secured to prevent escapes, and I supervise pets carefully during all interactions and outdoor time. I’m attentive to each animal’s comfort level and body language so I can respond appropriately and reduce stress, especially in new or unfamiliar situations. I also keep the home clean and organized, cleaning up after pets, refreshing water bowls, and ensuring the space is left just as I found it. Communication is important to me, so I provide regular updates and am quick to respond if anything comes up.

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I currently have two dogs, Chance and Otto, and I know how much our pets mean to us. When your pet is in my care, they will be treated with the same love, patience, and attention that I give my own. I previously worked as a sea lion and dolphin trainer at Gulf World Marine Park, where I gained hands on experience with animal care, behavior, and training. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I work weekdays until 4:30 PM and am available for evening visits, overnight stays, and weekend pet care. I would love the opportunity to meet you and care for your pets! I currently have a flexible schedule, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to pet care. I’m available for walks, drop-ins, and sitting on weekdays and weekends. I walk them daily and make sure they get plenty of exercise! I also have lots of dog toys:) I make sure their is plenty of water and food for them at all times

Regan was an absolute blessing. My dog loved being able to spend time with her, and was really excited that she brought her dog Finn as well so he could have a buddy. She kept me up to date during their stay together, provided me plenty of pictures and made sure my dog was well taken care of while I was out of town. He especially loved the walks she would take him on with Finn and the extra attention he got from both of them.

April dog sat our senior dachshund while we were away for vacation and did a great job. Rufus was happy to be able to stay at his house instead of being boarded and got lots of one on one cuddles. April took extra care to note his specific needs before we left and it all went very well. She also offered to bring in the mail and get the garbage can from the road while we were gone. She was a very trustworthy dog sitter and I’m so glad we found her! Would definitely recommend her services.

Laura did an exceptional job of handling a very tragic situation. Our beloved dog, Lulu had an emergency situation and had to be rushed to the vet. Lulu was unresponsive and Laura was unable lift her. She quickly ran to the nearest neighbor and got help to put Lulu into her car to transport her to the vet. Her communication with us before during, and after this traumatic event was exceptional. We highly recommend her services to anyone needing a pet sitter.

Mollie was a GREAT caretaker for our 140 lb. Scout and 14-year-old Sierra. She has a great calm presence and we felt very confident leaving our two dogs with her for 7 days. Our big dog never made her nervous and Sierra came out of her shell with Mollie. Why didn't we ever do this before. Mollie took good care of them and all their little quirks, as well as gave them medicine for their old age issues. I'm sure she gave them lots of TLC, too, if the pictures she sent us were any evidence. Thanks, Mollie, for all you did for them, as well as for us, to take good care of them!

I would book Kamryn to watch Diggs a thousand times over! She took extra time and care to make sure he was comfortable with her (he’s scan be pretty anxious with new people). She updated me several times a day about potties and feedings and took her time to hang out and play with him. I felt so comfortable leaving Diggs in her care!! I cannot thank her enough for the extra steps and reassurance she provided me that he was in the best care while I way away!!

FAQs for House Sitting - Woodford

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Woodford on Rover is $38.85 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 602 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Woodford. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Woodford walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Woodford maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Woodford choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Woodford. On Rover:

  • 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
