About: Growing up with cats, dogs, and a turtle, I’ve always been an animal lover. Animals are my happy place. I have years of experience with lots of different temperaments and needs. From puppies and kittens, senior dogs and cats, the wild and excited, the shut down, scared or nervous, to everything in between. I am currently available weekdays and weekends for walks, playtime, and house sitting that meet your pets needs. I am also able to come for repeat walks/playtime during the day. I live in a townhome with a fenced patio where my dog loves to sunbathe and take in the scenery. We go on potty breaks and walks by leash with lots of sniff breaks (her favorite). In your home, depending on the style, I can play or supervise inside and outside fenced in play time. I will also take dogs on walks depending on your preference. I also love to give a treat after a good walk or playtime! Potty will always be picked up and dissuaded on walks. If waste needs to be cleaned during back yard time please let me know, I’m happy to keep your yard clean!
“Highly recommend Jamie. She stepped in while I was recovering from knee surgery and walked Pippa every day. She is dependable, on time, friendly and communicates well. Pippa was always excited to see Jamie when she came.”

“Christina is the best petsitter. My experience with her for the past 4 months have been amazing. I was never worried about my dog and she took care of Kai so well. 1000% recommended”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was eight years old. 14 years later, I am still doing just that, except this time to support myself in college. I also have 2+ years of experience with Wag! and have walked over 70 dogs. I walk dogs every other day and play with them in my school’s lawn. As long as I’m done with my school assignments, I’m happy to play with your pup! I will always keep the dog on the leash unless otherwise indicated. I take extra caution to see that they don’t eat anything off the street.
About: What sets me apart is my calm, reliable approach and my ability to tailor care to each pet’s unique needs. I have experience with puppies, including basic training reinforcement (potty routines, leash manners, crate comfort, and positive reinforcement), as well as senior pets who may need extra patience, gentle handling, medication reminders, and close monitoring. I’m attentive to routines, quick to notice changes in behavior or health, and I prioritize clear communication with owners, regular updates, photos, and notes so you always feel at ease. Whether it’s high-energy play, slow senior strolls, or maintaining training consistency, I focus on making pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away Pet care fits very naturally into my daily and weekly routine. I’m an online college student at Jefferson State, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to plan my classes and coursework around pet care responsibilities. Because I’m home most of the day, I’m able to provide consistent attention, timely potty breaks, feeding on schedule, walks, playtime, and plenty of companionship. This flexibility is especially helpful for puppies who need frequent check ins and senior pets who benefit from routine and supervision. I structure my study time around the pets in my care rather than the other way around, so their needs always come first. This setup allows me to be reliable, responsive, and fully present for the pets I’m caring for throughout the week. I provide attentive, individualized care with pets that are in my client’s home, and I always follow the routine and preferences you set. In my client’s home, I focus on keeping pets comfortable in their familiar environment. I stick closely to their normal schedule for feeding, walks, playtime, and rest. I make sure litter boxes, yards, and feeding areas stay clean, administer medications if needed, and give plenty of affection and enrichment. I also keep an eye out for any changes in behavior or health and provide regular updates with photos and notes.

About: I’ve taken care of homes and dogs for years now and love to serve families and pets when available. I’ve done it for almost 5 years for family friends I have a very open schedule with random work shifts but purposely leaving schedule open to do all types of jobs. I will be able to work often I love to hear specially what families and pets like to be best cared for and staying super clear on communication! Most of my experience coming from dog care
About: I have taken care of numerous dogs and cats. I have taken care of dogs puppy age through senior age. I have also taken care of a dog who has seizures and I administer medication to my own dog. Typically I work part-time but I’m totally flexible and willing to adjust my schedule as needed! I don’t mind coming multiple times a day or spending the night. I’m very gentle and always make sure the animal is feeling comfortable and safe. I love being active so going on walks or playing in the backyard is great! I also don’t mind just sitting on the couch to provide some company.
“Courtney was great with my furbaby. She was timely, professional, kind, dependable, and took good care of my baby on his walks. We look forward to working with her again soon. Great job!!!”

“Riley is a wonderful dog walker/sitter (and dog photographer)! I could tell through the many photos and when we got home that our dog was comfortable and happy throughout the day (:”

About: I have always had multiple dogs in my home. My family has a love for rescuing dogs so we have taken in and fostered numerous dogs in the past. I cared for many dogs while in Tuscaloosa for college. I have since moved to Birmingham and become a NICU nurse! No matter what your baby needs, I’m here!! I am a full time nurse so my schedule varies! I typically work 3 days a week, so depending on the week I will be available different days! I love to be active and love to run around with energetic dogs as well as give love to the cuddly dogs! I base my approach based on the dogs needs, every baby is different!
About: I’m 39 years old and there has been a pet in my life since I was 7. I’m an only child and my pets quickly became like siblings (we didn’t fight like them, promise). I became the primary caregiver for my mom’s two senior mini dachshunds a few years ago and was able to get them crate and pee-pad trained. One of them crossed the rainbow bridge sadly, but my other little old lady is doing well. I fall in love with every animal I see and I would love the chance to fall in love with yours. I’m currently working a full time second shift job (1pm-11pm) so I have the mornings completely open to check on your babies. I’m also a night owl and have no problem doing a nighttime check after work or begin an overnight stay. If you have a fenced yard, I will let them outside and let them do their business before tossing a ball or toy or running around with them to get the zoomies out. If no yard, then I will take them out on a leash for a walk then some playtime inside. Food and water will be checked and refilled; cuddles will be provided at will. :)
About: I love animals, I have owned various furry friends throughout my life. Cats, dogs, bunnies, fish, etc. I work with animals on a daily basis. Providing for animals is my dedication. I have worked for pet stores and handled tons of different pets with personalities all different than the last. I have a puppy of my own whom I currently training, sit, potty training, lay, and wait. She’s currently understanding sit and stay. Great progress! Dealing with animals is healing and I try to fill my weekly schedule with caring for pets. Including after hours for my current job and to also help individuals who need assistance. I always take my time to deal with animals in their own environment. It is their home and I will always respect the pet, and let parent, since it is their area of living. Cleanliness, and respect, is always #1!
About: I was trained how to train dogs at an early age after our first dog was trained by our breeder. Since then I trained 2 golden retrievers and an Australian Cattle dog (red heeler). Both breeds are strong willed and have high energy. I work from home and so have a lot of freedom to break away to take care of dogs. I enjoy taking care of dogs and sharing the knowledge from my experience of training and raising dogs. I have a large beautiful fenced yard, have multiple crates for use and live within walking distance of a dog park. I have kids that will make sure your dog gets lots of love while being boarded.
About: Hi! I’m Sara, and I’ve been caring for animals since I was in high school. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of building lasting relationships with both pets and their owners, and I’m grateful to have received wonderful references along the way. I’d love the opportunity to care for your furry family member, too! I graduated from UAB and currently work from home in digital advertising, which gives me a more flexible schedule and allows me to provide attentive, reliable care throughout the day. My husband and I live in Bluff Park with our almost one-year-old son and lab mix Libby. Working from home allows me to have a more flexible schedule throughout the weekdays. My husband also has flexible hours so one of us is always available. We live in a very safe community with plenty of walking trails. I also have a 6 year old lab mix Libby who loves to play.
About: I have been taking care of animals my whole life as a child growing up we always had dogs and as an adult I have always had cats. I have experience with giving sub q fluids to animals with kidney problems and I am a volunteer with Bama Bully Rescue and a foster for Colony Cats of Metro Birmingham. I love animals and always provide the same level of care and love to others pets as I would to my own. I can provide excellent references and am ready to meet your pets. You can also check me out on FB at Most Creatures Great & Small. I am currently a care provider for my elderly parents and doing nothing else besides that and pet sitting so I have plenty of time to dedicate to your pets and a very flexible schedule as well. My cats are fully indoor only, but in your own home I am fully qualified to work with whatever system you have and feel most comfortable with. Whether its daily pop ins to feed, water and walk or if you prefer someone to stay in your home with your pets.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
