About: I’m a pediatric nurse and lifelong animal lover who understands the importance of being dependable, attentive, and patient. I have experience caring for dogs and am comfortable with feeding, walks, playtime, medications, and following specific routines and instructions. I’ll treat your pet like my own and make sure they receive plenty of attention, love, and care while you’re away. I work as a pediatric nurse, so my schedule varies throughout the week and gives me availability on many weekdays and weekends. On my days off, I have plenty of time to dedicate to walks, drop-in visits, playtime, and keeping your pet company. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I’m very attentive to changes in behavior and will carefully follow all feeding, medication, exercise, and household instructions you provide. I respect each pet’s individual routine and personality and will make sure they receive safe, loving, and dependable care in their own environment.

About: I am experienced with dogs of all sizes and cats as well. I grew up with both dogs and cats and also currently have a big fluffy husky that I love taking on long walks. He has taught me patience when walking to let him sniff and explore and to be able to pick up on tell tale signs from other dogs and surrounding areas. I have never met a pet I wasn’t able to become buddies within no time. I work full time but can walk before and after work on week days. The weekends I am free at any time to walk dogs. I have a 9 year old husky I walk an average of 2 - 3 miles a day since he loves walks. I do not bring him along for house sitting since his fluff will stay long after he does and he is comfy staying at home with my sister. I know how to approach new dogs to let them know I am a trustworthy person and pay attention to their own moods and personalities as each animal is different.

Tatiana is amazing! Zeus is in love. He recognizes her car and runs to the door to greet her, excited for his walk. She tires him out enough for him to settle down so I can work without having a bored puppy underfoot. Will request her again.

About: I have had at least one dog ever since I was born, and i have had to care for, exercise, feed, and bathe a dog since. Plenty of friends and family have also asked me to dog sit or dog walk for them so I am very familiar with working with dogs that aren’t my own. I also worked at Camp Bow Wow in Montgomery for a year. They are a highly regarded doggy day care and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute. I was in constant contact with dogs and learned a lot about caring for them more than i already knew. I have a gap between ending a job and starting a new position, so i will have plenty of time to take care of your pups!! I love going for walks and playing with dogs, as well as being chill and giving them plenty of belly rubs!!! At home, I feed my dog and take her for daily walks. I also do enrichment exercises with her to keep her mind stimulated. In your home, I would do the same as well as take them for plenty of walks!! I follow feeding schedules if provided and am flexible to any other rules in the home.

I’m always up for a long walk, playtime, or just hanging out with your pet while you’re away. I’ll treat them like my own and make sure they feel happy and loved. About: I have experience caring for dogs of all ages, from puppies to adults. I’ve had dogs of my own and regularly cared for my brother’s dogs while he was a breeder, giving me hands-on experience with puppies and adult dogs. Most of my experience is with French Bulldogs, Cane Corsos, and Boston Terriers. I’m patient, attentive, and treat every pet like my own. I’m currently a full-time freshman at UAB, but my class schedule has flexible gaps that allow me to provide attentive and reliable pet care. I’m used to making time for animals and being consistent with their routines, so I can easily fit drop-ins, walks, and other pet-care duties into my day. I believe every pet is different, so I don’t treat every pet the same. I take the time to learn their personality, routines, and comfort level so they feel safe and cared for. I’m gentle, attentive, and respectful of each pet’s needs while making sure their environment stays clean and secure.

About: I’m a coach and educator with years of experience caring for animals. I bring patience, reliability, and an active lifestyle to every walk, drop-in, and stay. Whether it’s playtime, long walks, or keeping routines consistent, I’ll make sure your pets are well cared for and comfortable while you’re away. As a coach and teacher, I have a flexible schedule during the summer that allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to pet care. I’m able to consistently fit walks, drop-ins, and playtime into my daily routine while making sure pets stay comfortable and active. With extra availability throughout the week, I can provide reliable care, longer walks, and plenty of attention while you’re away. Whether your dog enjoys long walks, playtime, or just relaxing with company, I’ll make sure they get the attention, care, and exercise they need while you’re away.

About: I have been taking care of animals since I was ten when I got my first dog! I would also take care of my neighbors and friends dogs when they would leave for vacations on my free time. Just a college student looking to love on your pets. Pretty open schedule. Working part time right now but will always have time to take care of your animals! I live in a condo so I do have small backyard but I will take them on walks as many times as needed. I love taking my dog to the dog park so she can socialize with other dogs so I will take along the dogs I dog sit with us to let them play. I am currently working part time right now and have plenty of time to take care of your pets. I do have a dog of my own and always make sure she is getting her energy out. If your pet loves hiking or long walks then I am your girl. I have my own dog to be able to be your dogs companion along with myself. I do 4 walks a day to make sure they can go potty and get some energy out.

I know "perfect" doesn't exist, but I can't think of a better word to describe the pup caregiver that Joy is. She not only exudes love for our dogs but she is so knowledgeable! She clearly is a dog trainer and listed to the cues of our dogs and gave them the walks that each needed. She took our 14 year old dog with arthritis, Jax, out for a slow paced "sniff" walk for his enrichment and then came back and took our higher energy, Lola, out for a longer walk. There was one time where we saw Jax went out twice since she wanted to ensure he got his poop out. They were so happy and loved. Your fur babies are in the best of hands with Joy!

Chloe provided more than just a walk and feeding. She made my pup feel loved and gave him some extra loving while I was away. I ended up getting home later than expected and she took initiative to go ahead and put my grocery delivery away which made coming home feel more at ease. Although it may seem like a small act of kindness, it’s the little things that make her the perfect fit for us!

  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
