I work full-time from home, so my schedule is very flexible and I will have plenty of time for walks and snuggles. “Katharine has been my saving grace since getting my Benny boy. Her love and care for my puppy doesn’t go unnoticed. She is the most reliable help I have found so far, and I plan to keep her around for as long as she will let me. My Benny loves her and so do I! Thank you Katharine for all you do for us, and I absolutely recommend using her for your doggy needs! ❤️”

“Tatiana was the best pet sitter! This was our first time using the Rover app l, and we were nervous at first. But from my video call with Tatiana, to the meet and greet, I started to relax. We will definitely book Tatiana again.”

“We have a semi-feral, learning domestication skills cat, Miss Kitty, who is free to roam outside and in, and is very wary of strangers. Cam was so patient and loving, and won over Miss Kitty and us! About: I grew up with a cat of 14 years and later my family adopted a husky which stole our hearts! Since, I have cared for not only my sisters set of 2 beautiful golden retrievers since they were brought home but other dogs of clients and I currently live with a cat! I am currently a 4th year medical student at UAB. My clinical rotation schedule currently is extremely light for the month of February I after 12 PM. And through March April in the first half of May, I am pretty much fully free. Under my care, pets will be brought outside for a potty breaks or a walk only on a safe leash. No dogs will be brought anywhere near roads or construction where they could get injured.
“Fantastic! Took such amazing care of our boys, was prompt and communicative, and very friendly. Took extra care of our cat that’s terrified of storms and got our shy cat to open up, which is no small feat. Highly recommend!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Mountain Brook
This was my first visit with Sarah and my first time using Rover. First on Sarah, this lovely lady knows dogs. She is very easy going, easy to talk to and took lots of notes. I will be using her for short vists a few times to get my two French Bull dogs used to her. I am hoping to book Sarah for a week at the end of the year to watch the dogs and house sit. On to Rover, I had no idea this company existed until my adult daughter shared it with me. Great concept
Tiffany was amazing!! She treated my fur baby with so much care. My fur baby is a senior and requires specialized food and meds. She followed the instructions meticulously. She gave regular photo updates and was able to accommodate an additional visit per day. She also regularly communicated with me in addition to the Report Card.

Kyle came once a day to look in on our cats, give them fresh food and water, and take care of the litter boxes. He communicated every day to let me know how it was going - even though the cats didn't come out for him (I have since talked to the cats about showing some gratitude). He was easy to work with. When we met in person I could tell he cared a lot about animals and had great attention to detail. Definitely will have Kyle back, and maybe the cats will be more appreciative this time.

Katharine has been my saving grace since getting my Benny boy. ❤️

Hannah did a great job taking care of my boys! This is my second time booking with her and I will definitely be booking again for future care. Hannah does a great job communicating, letting me feel at ease that my cats have the best possible care while I’m away.

Kadence was amazing! I booked very last minute, and she responded quickly, and was very flexible. I have never left my dog with anyone she doesn't know, but I immediately felt comfortable with Kadence. She gave me updates while I was away, and I will absolutely see if she is available the next time I need someone to stay with my dog. She is so sweet...I couldn't recommend her enough!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
