Since I work full-time at the zoo, I have non-traditional weekends. I am available all day on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Every other day, I am available before work, on my lunch, and after 5pm!

I would love to know any and all information you are willing to share! Is there anything specific I need to look out for? Any behavioral concerns? Does anything trigger them (leash, crate, other dogs, kids, etc)? Do they have any medical needs or concerns that I need to look out for when we are together (diabetes, seizures, allergies, etc)? Anything they dont like such as touching their feet or face? Lastly, I’d love to know the quickest way to gain their trust and their heart! Whether it be treats, snuggles, play time, or something else, let me know the best way to bond :)
A typical day
I am very flexible when it comes to taking care of your pet! I try and tailor my day to meet your fur baby’s needs and wants. Whether that be walks at a park, playing fetch/with a favorite toy, or some grooming time I am willing to do whatever it takes to keep them happy and healthy.

Pet care experience
I have been taking care of all types of animals throughout my entire life! I have grown up with both dogs and cats since I was a kid and am very comfortable and confident with the care they require and deserve. In high school and most of college, I worked in a vet clinic and boarding facility where I learned how to care for all kinds of dogs and cats- from very big to very small and very old to very young. Currently, I am working as an animal care professional (zookeeper) at the Birmingham Zoo! While I’m not taking care of pets, like dogs and cats, I am providing excellent care to a variety of different species every day. It is my job to provide them with the best care possible, including noticing small behavioral changes and picking up on subtle body language. I truly, truly care about the happiness and wellbeing of all animals, and I will go above and beyond to treat your pets as if they are my own. I believe all of this will help me excel in caring for your furry friend :) Additionally, I am not just limited to cats and dogs. I also have a lot of experience with reptiles, birds, and other fur babies and would be more than happy to help take care of them as well!
