About: Since the beginning, friends and family have often come to me when they need someone to pet sit! I have dogs and cats of my own, so I’m very comfortable caring for animals and making sure they feel safe, happy, and well taken care of. I genuinely love spending time with animals and would be happy to give your pets the same care and attention I give my own! Ive recently moved to Birmingham so my schedule is currently open. Preferably, I hope to be consistently available in the afternoons and early evening. But as of now, I am available all day! I care for pets in their home by following their normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, playtime, walks, and plenty of attention and affection! I’m happy to follow any specific instructions you have for your pets and make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and cared for while you’re away. At this time I do not provide boarding services.
“Amy was able to help us last minute to oversee 3 cats who don't deal much with new people. Lina is always the last to come out but with Amy met her everyday for attention. She was great to work with and very good with communication”

“So glad Sarah was available for my last minute holiday request! She spent time hanging out with my cats and making them comfortable, giving me full updates with lots of pictures! I’m very grateful!”

“Frankie was great! Gave me helpful feedback about my cats' temperament and health day to day. My boys have health conditions that can flare up when I'm away, so I was glad I had someone watching them that kept me up to date on their behavior and symptoms. Frankie followed all of the directions I left for their care and even took out the trash on the final day of the stay. Would rebook!”

“Leah has looked after my two cats several times and has consistently done a fantastic job. I appreciate her prompt responses, thorough descriptions and pictures of the cats while I'm away and genuine caring for their well-being. I highly recommend Leah!”

“Susan was exactly what I needed for taking care of my kitty last minute while I was away! She was detailed and responsive, time flexible, and I think my cat has a new best friend. Would recommend Susan to anyone in the area needing a pet sitter.”

About: I promise to give 100% of taking care of them as my own. I was always be with them in my home. If I need to walk them from your home I will follow your directions so they feel safe at all times. I am always available and ready to help. What ever you need I will give my all to making it happen. Pets are amazing in my world. I have a big fence in yard for fun and a 1 year old bulldog to play with. They are allowed on the furniture. I also have plenty of toys.
“Adrianna was prompt, professional, attentive and overall WONDERFUL. She was focused and detailed on her task, while at the same time being personable with our Cesar. He was excited to see her daily and awaiting her services. Will definitely utilize her services again and again”

About: Growing up I had experience with a lot of types of animals, from cats, dogs, sheep, pigs, cows and horses. In my adult life, I have had a lab mix and have had 4 boxers (3 currently still in the home) and a siamese mixed cat. I learned a lot about dog behavior when I got my first boxer through training, and feel like that has helped me with other dogs too. Two of my current boxers are seniors and they take meds so I am familiar with those types of things and my other one is 8 months old so I am currently also in the puppy phases as well. I do have a full-time job. Evenings and weekends are the best time for me on some days. I often work from home later in the week so I can be flexible those days. I am definitely open to chatting about options. I will keep my calendar up to date based on my availability. If your pups are coming to my house, I have a fenced in yard. I do have a pool, but I go outside with all pups for safety reasons. If your dog loves to swim let me know! I also have a quiet neighborhood for a nice leashed walk. I do have a lot of stairs so if you have a senior dog that has mobility issues my house might not be the best option. If they go out on a leash this would be less of an issue b/c I can take them for a walk out front. I crate my puppy when I am gone, and can crate your dog when/if you would like me too. I would like any special instructions about medications/food/behavior etc that are specific to your pets. I would need any specific instructions for your in home stays with your pets.

On my days off, I have plenty of time to dedicate to walks, drop-in visits, playtime, and keeping your pet company. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I’m very attentive to changes in behavior and will carefully follow all feeding, medication, exercise, and household instructions you provide. “Tiffany was amazing!! She treated my fur baby with so much care. My fur baby is a senior and requires specialized food and meds. She followed the instructions meticulously. She gave regular photo updates and was able to accommodate an additional visit per day. She also regularly communicated with me in addition to the Report Card.”
“Tatiana was the best pet sitter! This was our first time using the Rover app l, and we were nervous at first. But from my video call with Tatiana, to the meet and greet, I started to relax. Once I started getting all the videos and pictures, I knew we had found the right person. Tatiana accommodated all of our pets’ weird needs and habits, and they loved her. We will definitely book Tatiana again.”

“Louann did an great job, it made my vacation all the better knowing my kitties were in good hands. She kept me up to date with pictures. She spent time playing with them which was appreciated. Will definitely reach out again in the future”

Piper is amazing! We had her come by daily for our golden doodle puppy the first couple months for visits and she did a great job! She is thorough, dependable and really cares about the dogs. She always kept us up to date on Ellie and Vinny and always provides lots of pictures and a summary of her visit! We will 100% be using her again!

Alyse was great with Bama! She always sent photos and a nice message of what they did during the visit, which was much appreciated. I could tell Bama had a great time with her and enjoyed their visits. I will be booking future visits and would definitely recommend her to anyone looking!

Kyra was absolutely wonderful keeping our doggo. She came a few days early to meet her, learn about her needs and our wants to watch her. She sent many pictures and was a great communicator about each visit. I would highly recommend her and we will use her again!

Alyssa was seriously amazing with my indoor cats, Stevie and Garfield. They are my babies, so I don’t trust just anyone…but she made me feel so comfortable the whole time I was away. Alyssa sent daily updates and pictures (one of the best pictures I have of my spicy Garfield!), which I loved. It made such a difference getting to see them and know they were happy and cared for while we were away. You could tell they were totally at ease with her, which means so much. She’s reliable and communicates well. I’d 100% use her again and would recommend her to anyone without hesitation!

Stephanie is very personal and immediately got along with both of our babies. She took such great care of our cats while we were away and gave us complete peace of mind. She made sure they were fed on schedule, kept their litter boxes clean, and spent quality time playing and giving them attention so they didn’t feel lonely. We especially appreciated the updates and photos she sent — it was clear our cats were happy, comfortable, and well cared for. We will definitely be booking Stephanie again.

Jody treated my two kitties like they were her own! She gave such detailed updates each day and so many cute photos - it made it so much easier to be away knowing my cats were in such good hands! I would absolutely recommend Jody to anyone & hope I can use her again in the future!

Vy (Tyler) was an incredible sitter. We had absolutely no problems and were very happy with the care given to our two dogs. He would periodically send photos and videos of our dogs playing and made sure that we didn’t have to worry about them at all on our trip. We will definitely be booking with Vy again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
