“Tatiana was WONDERFUL! She walked Harley a ton which I know Harley enjoyed, especially after a long car ride the day before. I could tell immediately that Harley was comfortable with Tatiana and her family and that’s saying a lot because Harley can be very timid and shy around new people. Thank you for sending plenty of picture updates too, I’ll definitely be booking again when I’m in the area!!!”

“Danielle is the absolute best, and I’ll hear nothing to the contrary. This was my first time using Rover, and the sitter I originally booked cancelled on me morning of, but Danielle accepted our last minute request on a holiday weekend. I have an old dog with arthritis and medication who can be a picky eater at times, but that was no issue for Danielle. She not only made me feel at ease with constant updates and pictures, but she exercised and socialized him, and he may like her more than me now. My only regrets with this review are that everyone else will book her now and she’ll be unavailable next time we need boarding for a weekend”

“Barrie took great care of Gracie while my wife and I were away on vacation. I appreciated that she updated us regularly with pictures/videos. She also asked questions and really tried to make sure Gracie was as comfortable and happy as possible.”

“This is a repeat stay for us and just as wonderful! as before! Eloise is well taken care of and we get lots of daily pictures and updates. Harold is so thoughtful and I don’t feel nervous leaving her with him at all. She probably misses him when she’s back at home😂.”

“Cody was so great! He communicated well, sent pictures and videos with updates, and gave my dog lots of love while I was away. He also was able to accommodate last minute changes in plans which helped us out so much. Definitely recommend him!”

“Sarah was wonderful! She sent daily pictures, had a great set up at her house for pet care, was friendly, fast to respond and flexible. She was a joy to work with and I will be contacting her again next time.”

“Corlaeja really came through for me and Billy. It was a very last minute booking, and she was not only able to do it, she did it exceptionally well. My boy—who is a brat—looked happy and healthy in every photograph she sent (and she sent regular photographs). And, of course, he came back to me the same way I left him. I will definitely look to rebook with her the next time there is an opportunity. Thanks again!”

About: I have had pets since I was 5 years old and with my degree and career background in veterinary medicine, best believe your pets will be safe and taken care of while also being treated like family. I’m available after 2:30pm everyday and my days are completely open on the weekends. If I need to stop by in the early morning, I can as well. Pets will be loved on, walked, fed, and receive intimate quality time. I have two needy dogs myself so I completely understand the anxiety that can come with pets being alone so I will make sure to make them feel safe and provided for.
“Laderius and his family took good care of Lottie. We recently moved to AL and I didn’t know how busy it is during spring break. Laderius was able to accommodate Lottie in such short notice. I received pictures and updates about Lottie and she looked happy.”

“Ray was wonderful! Accommodated us last minute and sent lots of pictures and videos the whole stay! Our dog came home happy and calm after his stay, and we would absolutely use Ray again!”

“Kelsey was awesome to say the least! She’s very flexible which was amazing with being stuck in a winter storm I didn’t have to worry about my pup at all. She made Kaia feel right at home and her two dogs played with Kaia great!”

“Kaitlyn is one of the best sitters on Rover! She is so kind and accommodating. She let me know what was going on with my dog, and I had no concerns about Chloe’s safety. She even sent us home with a little gift. I highly recommend using Kaitlyn for all pet sitting needs 🖤”

“Jessica was great with my pup! Made sure to send lots of pictures and videos and made sure he had plenty of play time to get all of his energy out. Would definitely use her again!”

“Amy was fantastic! She picked him up and dropped him off on time, sent pictures and videos daily, and was very kind. He had a wonderful time! Will most definitely be using her again ?”

“Doug is a very thoughtful and kind sitter. He took excellent care of my elderly puppy and kept me updated on how she was doing. I am very thankful that he was able to take care of her while we were away!”

“Libby was so wonderful. Our dog is so timid with everyone and I love how much care and attention she was given. I also loved the pictures and updates. My family will be using her again.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Irondale
This was Louie’s first “sleep over” and Amy and her family made sure it was a resounding success. It will now become his home away from home when we must travel. We were sent pictures and updates and all of our concerns were met without a hitch. Thanks so very much, Amy, for making this first experience a good one!

Jody was absolutely amazing with our pup! She was a great communicator sending consistent photos during her stay. And I could tell our pup was having a wonderful stay which gave such a peace of mind while we were away. Cannot say enough great things! Rosie is ready for her next stay!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
