Pet care experience

Come, Stay, Play!

Hi! I’m Danielle. I’ve been taking care of animals for most of my life and have been pet-sitting for about 17 years. I also grew up on a farm, so being around animals has always just been part of my day-to-day life. I’ve worked long-term with a family who has four senior beagles (one is blind), so I’m very comfortable with medications, routines, and dogs that need a little extra patience and care. Your dog will stay in my home and be treated like part of the family. I have a large fenced yard where they can run and play, plus a covered area for shade when it’s hot (which, realistically, is often). I also live about a mile from a dog park if your dog enjoys getting out and exploring. I try to keep things as close to your dog’s normal routine as possible—whether that’s lots of playtime or just a calm place to relax. Every dog is different, and I adjust to what they need. I’ll keep you updated while you’re away, and you can trust that your dog is safe, cared for, and getting plenty of attention.

First time using Rover and very pleased. Our very old dog was treated with care. Very responsive. Easy to communicate with. Provided updates and answered questions. Would definitely book again!

Danielle is the absolute best, and I’ll hear nothing to the contrary. This was my first time using Rover, and the sitter I originally booked cancelled on me morning of, but Danielle accepted our last minute request on a holiday weekend. I have an old dog with arthritis and medication who can be a picky eater at times, but that was no issue for Danielle. She not only made me feel at ease with constant updates and pictures, but she exercised and socialized him, and he may like her more than me now. My only regrets with this review are that everyone else will book her now and she’ll be unavailable next time we need boarding for a weekend

Danielle is an amazing pet owner, she has cared for my furbabies on several occasions and they absolutely adore her. Danielle has shown loving responsibility with her energetic playtimes, prompt meals and attention to medication schedules. I have and will continue to trust her with the safety and well being of my pets/ babies.

Schedule

I work a typical Monday–Friday 9–5 schedule, but I’m able to stop by during the day for potty breaks, medications, and check-ins. Before and after work, your pet will get plenty of attention, time outside, and interaction. Weekends are more flexible, so I’m able to spend more extended time with pets in my care. Every other weekend, my 5-year-old is with me—she’s grown up around animals and is very gentle and comfortable with them.

Safety, trust & environment

My home is very pet-friendly and pretty relaxed. Dogs are welcome on furniture if that’s what they’re used to, and I try to keep their routine as close to home as possible. I have a large fenced yard where dogs can run and play, plus a covered area for shade when it’s hot. I keep a close eye on pets when they’re outside and make sure they’re always safe and comfortable.

A typical day

A typical day really depends on the dog, but it usually includes a mix of time outside, play, and relaxing inside. Mornings start with letting them out, feeding, and a little attention before the day gets going. During the day, I make sure they get bathroom breaks, fresh water, and check-ins. In the evenings, there’s more time for play, walks, or just hanging out—whatever fits their personality. If your dog enjoys it, I can also take them to the dog park nearby for some extra exercise.

Before booking, I like to know a few basics so I can take the best care of your pet: • Name, age, and breed • Feeding schedule and routine • Any medications or medical needs • Emergency contact and vet information • Behavior quirks (anxiety, other dogs, etc.) • What they enjoy (toys, walks, routines) The more I know ahead of time, the easier it is to make your pet feel comfortable and at home.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
