About: i have 5 years of dog grooming experience, 3 years veterinary technician experience, and 2 years kennel technician experience. I have worked with pets off all support needs: senior, special needs, nervous, aggressive, puppies, all kinds! I have had extremely hands on experience working in vets offices and seen any and everything! I can administer medications of all types (including injections). I have experience with dogs who have potty issues or need to use pee pads. Seriously I've seen it all. Pet sitting is my full-time job! My entire schedule revolves around these furry babies. I basically devote all my days to taking care of pups! I'm home 24/7 while your pet is there unless im out checking on other pets. Every single doorway in my home is dog gated. I have a gate blocking off my front door and I have a fully fenced in backyard. They will never have direct access to any exit of the home. I have cameras in everyroom a pet would be in. I'm never gone for more than about an hour MAYBE two hours if im checking on another pet :) I never feed any pets in view of each other or in the same room. I only allow group play if you are okay with them being around others. I have full view of all dogs at all times.
“Susan was exactly what I needed for taking care of my kitty last minute while I was away! She was detailed and responsive, time flexible, and I think my cat has a new best friend. Would recommend Susan to anyone in the area needing a pet sitter.”

About: I promise to give 100% of taking care of them as my own. I was always be with them in my home. If I need to walk them from your home I will follow your directions so they feel safe at all times. I am always available and ready to help. What ever you need I will give my all to making it happen. Pets are amazing in my world. I have a big fence in yard for fun and a 1 year old bulldog to play with. They are allowed on the furniture. I also have plenty of toys.
“Louann did an great job, it made my vacation all the better knowing my kitties were in good hands. She kept me up to date with pictures. She spent time playing with them which was appreciated. Will definitely reach out again in the future”

“Steven was great with communication during each of his check-ins on our dog. He always took several pictures and was very intentional about bonding with our dog instead of just doing the tasks I had listed for him. We will definitely be using him again.”

“Megan is a wonderful cat sitter! I loved the daily pictures she sent of my kitties. They were all well cared for and my extremely shy cat even warmed up to Megan. She’s trustworthy, which is important to me. I would definitely recommend her!”

About: Growing up I had experience with a lot of types of animals, from cats, dogs, sheep, pigs, cows and horses. In my adult life, I have had a lab mix and have had 4 boxers (3 currently still in the home) and a siamese mixed cat. I learned a lot about dog behavior when I got my first boxer through training, and feel like that has helped me with other dogs too. Two of my current boxers are seniors and they take meds so I am familiar with those types of things and my other one is 8 months old so I am currently also in the puppy phases as well. I do have a full-time job. Evenings and weekends are the best time for me on some days. I often work from home later in the week so I can be flexible those days. I am definitely open to chatting about options. I will keep my calendar up to date based on my availability. If your pups are coming to my house, I have a fenced in yard. I do have a pool, but I go outside with all pups for safety reasons. If your dog loves to swim let me know! I also have a quiet neighborhood for a nice leashed walk. I do have a lot of stairs so if you have a senior dog that has mobility issues my house might not be the best option. If they go out on a leash this would be less of an issue b/c I can take them for a walk out front. I crate my puppy when I am gone, and can crate your dog when/if you would like me too. I would like any special instructions about medications/food/behavior etc that are specific to your pets. I would need any specific instructions for your in home stays with your pets.
“Sarah, did a FANTASTIC job visiting with our cat while we were away. He felt SOOOOO soft from her great brushing when we got home, and seemed extra playful. It is a huge relief to have someone we trust who is also great with animals watch our pet, and allows us to travel worry-free. We can't recommend Sarah B enough!”

“Leah is the best! She made us feel at ease leaving our kittens overnight for the first time. She sent us great pictures, was easy to communicate with, and took great care of our babies. Would definitely recommend her for your pet sitting needs”

“Piper is beyond amazing. She was able to start at the last minute and watching her with my puppy Casey, I could see how much she loves dogs and working with them. I was instantly put at ease. It makes our day to see all the photos she takes of Casey during their time together, and I know Casey is being loved. Working with Piper has been a dream, and I can’t recommend her enough.”

About: I have watched, walked, and taken care of friends, family and coworkers pets for years. I also have my own I take care of daily! I work second shift at a restaurant so I have plenty of time before work and then time after work for night routine as well. I am flexible with whatever special care your pets needs, whether it be socializing at a dog park or private walks in the neighborhood. I also have a really cool cat wall if the cats would like a kitty play date.
About: **Privately Insured for Peace of Mind** I've been pet sitting since childhood for all kinds of pets. My care experience has even involved small mammals, piglets, arthropods, and repitlies. I particularly enjoy working with shy and anxious dogs and cats. As a sitter, I pay attention to the details, such as pet body language and making sure food and water bowls are cleaned, and I am diligent in keeping pets out of potentially dangerous situations. Overnight dog sits include at least one walk a day unless otherwise specified or the weather prevents it, in which case indoor playtime will be had instead. I am comfortable administering medications, including injections. I am avaliable for constant care overnights (no leaving the dog(s) alone) for an additional fee. I am self-employed, so my schedule is extremely flexible and I am avaliable for constant care for an additional rate. Most of my exercise comes from walking dogs, so I am more than happy to take the long route if your pooch is up for it! I am very careful with your pets, avoiding encounters with unfamiliar dogs or people to avoid conflicts. My food is never within reach, and I pride myself on keeping your home clean and ready for your return.
“Sass did an excellent job taking care of our 2 cats! She was able to get 3 meds into our cat with her creative food mixtures! We recommend her highly and will use her again!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Irondale
Alyssa was seriously amazing with my indoor cats, Stevie and Garfield. They are my babies, so I don’t trust just anyone…but she made me feel so comfortable the whole time I was away. Alyssa sent daily updates and pictures (one of the best pictures I have of my spicy Garfield!), which I loved. It made such a difference getting to see them and know they were happy and cared for while we were away. You could tell they were totally at ease with her, which means so much. She’s reliable and communicates well. I’d 100% use her again and would recommend her to anyone without hesitation!

Stephanie is very personal and immediately got along with both of our babies. She took such great care of our cats while we were away and gave us complete peace of mind. She made sure they were fed on schedule, kept their litter boxes clean, and spent quality time playing and giving them attention so they didn’t feel lonely. We especially appreciated the updates and photos she sent — it was clear our cats were happy, comfortable, and well cared for. We will definitely be booking Stephanie again.

I’m so grateful to have found Piper here! She did an exceedingly great job with my cranky old cat, she was always on time and sent lots of sweet photos, and she did a very good job communicating and asking questions when she needed to. 10/10 sitter! Thanks, Piper!

Jody treated my two kitties like they were her own! She gave such detailed updates each day and so many cute photos - it made it so much easier to be away knowing my cats were in such good hands! I would absolutely recommend Jody to anyone & hope I can use her again in the future!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
