Loving care when you can’t be there
Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember - there’s never been a time I wasn’t sharing my home with a dog or cat. From a young age, I was given full responsibility for my pets, and that early experience taught me the value of attentive, compassionate care. In high school, I rescued and raised three sweet dogs and even an entire litter of kittens. I was their their primary caregiver, managing everything from daily routines to unexpected health challenges. I have hands-on experience administering oral medication, assisting dogs during seizures, and caring for both energetic puppies and slow-moving senior pets. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and breeds, and I treat every animal I care for like part of my own family. Since moving to the Birmingham area two years ago, I’ve settled in with my lovable lab mix Millie, my playful goldendoodle Mila, and my spirited kitty Cheeto. They bring me so much joy—and I’d love to offer the same loving, reliable care to your pets while you’re away. Whether it’s a walk, a cuddle, or just some extra attention, I’m here to provide “loving care when you can’t be there.”

I am new to Rover and finding Madison was a Godsend. I had a vacation coming up that was going to put me out of town for a week and my cat had been diagnosed with diabetes about 6 weeks earlier, requiring feedings and insulin shots at very specific times twice a day. He is also very timid around new people and making sure he was cared for while I was gone was my biggest concern. Madison was fantastic with Cooper and he absolutely adored her. She was always on time with her scheduled appointments and she sent me updates and pictures after every visit. I was also able to communicate with her if I needed anything changed. She even adjusted my furbo cameras for me when they would get nudged by my cat. Seeing Cooper warm up to her and allow her to feed him and give him shots twice a day took away all the anxiety I had. He also allowed her to give him cuddles and he looked forward to her visits. I would highly recommend Madison to anyone looking for care for their treasured fur babies. She is amazing. I will definitely be rebooking with her.

Madison is an excellent sitter! She goes above and beyond what is required for caring for animals. I would highly recommend her to anyone who needs dog or cat sitting. My kitty Jethro absolutely loves her.❤️🐈⬛
Madison was great with our two pups who are on the opposite ends of the spectrum — a high-energy social butterfly and an older ball of anxiety who is picky about her friends. Madison came by the day before to meet them, putting everyone’s mind at ease. She provided photos of the visit and a thorough report after the fact. Will definitely be reaching out to Madison the next time we need someone to swing by to check on the pups!

Schedule
I work a hybrid full-time job during the week, which means I’m home a few days each week and out visiting customers on others. This flexible schedule allows me to be available for drop-in visits and walks—especially with advanced planning. On the days I work from home, I’m able to provide extra attention, playtime, and potty breaks throughout the day. For days I’m on the go, I plan my route thoughtfully to ensure I can still meet your pet’s needs. I’m happy to work with your schedule to make sure your pet feels comfortable, cared for, and never alone for too long.

When caring for pets in their own home, I prioritize keeping their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. I’ll take time to learn their habits, preferences, and quirks—whether it’s a favorite toy, a special feeding routine, or just knowing where they like to nap. I’m respectful of your home and keep everything clean, secure, and just as you left it. Most importantly, I make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and well-attended while you’re away because they deserve nothing less.

Whether it’s a game of fetch in the backyard, a leisurely walk around the neighborhood, or some indoor playtime with toys and treats, I love keeping pets active and engaged. I tailor activities based on your pet’s energy level and personality—whether they’re a high-energy pup who loves to run or a snuggly cat who prefers gentle play and cozy cuddles. I also make time for belly rubs, ear scratches, and all the affection they crave while you’re away!
