About: I've taken care of family pets and neighbors' dogs for several years, as well as cats and fish. I have experience with the Greater Birmingham Humane Society and my own dog for three years. I'm available and flexible, so I'm ready to help out whenever you and your furry friend need me! When I'm not helping with neighborhood pets, you'll likely see me and my dog out for walks or training. I believe in meeting dogs where they are at by responding to their energy levels. That may mean making sure they are comfortable during stressful situations or jumping in to play at higher energy times! My primary goal is to make sure they are safe and set up for success when you are not at home, so I am happy to employ specific care instructions. No two dogs are the same!

About: I have had multiple dogs growing up I do have a dog right now and I have dog sat my aunts dog while leaves. Dogs and children are the two things I really love in this world and I feel that I know how to care for them as they are my own. I a pretty free after 12 during the weekdays and on the weekend I am very free to do what ever needs to be done. I have a lot of time to spare and spend with dogs rather that be a nice long walk like I do with my dog everyday or just playing with for a while. I live in an apartment with my own dog but I have plenty of space for them to play and keep each other company. If you dog does require a crate I have enough space for that and have a nice trail and a park next to my apartment for me to walk them around.

About: I’ve always had cats, and usually they were strays that we took in. As a teenager, I would pet sit for my neighbors frequently when they were out of town- cats and dogs! I had two dogs growing up. Now as an adult, I have 2 cats of my own, Sinclair (5yo male) and Petal (1yo female)! For most of June and July I will be free week days and weekends! Starting in August, I will be available in afternoons and on weekends. I am willing to spend time with your cats and dogs, play with them however needed, and I can take your dogs on long walks!

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was eight years old. 14 years later, I am still doing just that, except this time to support myself in college. I also have 2+ years of experience with Wag! and have walked over 70 dogs. I walk dogs every other day and play with them in my school’s lawn. As long as I’m done with my school assignments, I’m happy to play with your pup! I will always keep the dog on the leash unless otherwise indicated. I take extra caution to see that they don’t eat anything off the street.

About: I currently have two wonderful dogs of my own, an 8 year old Havanese and a 1 year old Dachshund. My Dachshund is high energy, and my Havanese is very chill, so I am very comfortable with dogs of all personalities. As a college student studying to be a teacher, I am away from home, so I am always missing my dogs. This is a great way for me to spend time and care for others while I am away. I am currently working part-time and mostly in the mornings. I will be able to care for your pets in the afternoons and on the weekends! Pet parents should provide any necessary materials that I may need to care for their pet (treats, leashes, harnesses, etc). I will be happy to discuss this further.

About: Growing up with cats, dogs, and a turtle, I’ve always been an animal lover. Animals are my happy place. I have years of experience with lots of different temperaments and needs. From puppies and kittens, senior dogs and cats, the wild and excited, the shut down, scared or nervous, to everything in between. I am currently available weekdays and weekends for walks, playtime, and house sitting that meet your pets needs. I am also able to come for repeat walks/playtime during the day. I live in a townhome with a fenced patio where my dog loves to sunbathe and take in the scenery. We go on potty breaks and walks by leash with lots of sniff breaks (her favorite). In your home, depending on the style, I can play or supervise inside and outside fenced in play time. I will also take dogs on walks depending on your preference. I also love to give a treat after a good walk or playtime! Potty will always be picked up and dissuaded on walks. If waste needs to be cleaned during back yard time please let me know, I’m happy to keep your yard clean!

About: I have always had multiple dogs in my home. My family has a love for rescuing dogs so we have taken in and fostered numerous dogs in the past. I cared for many dogs while in Tuscaloosa for college. I have since moved to Birmingham and become a NICU nurse! No matter what your baby needs, I’m here!! I am a full time nurse so my schedule varies! I typically work 3 days a week, so depending on the week I will be available different days! I love to be active and love to run around with energetic dogs as well as give love to the cuddly dogs! I base my approach based on the dogs needs, every baby is different!

About: For as long as I can remember, there have always been pets in my life! Whether that was in my own home growing up, in a family member's home, at friends' houses, etc. I have often been the go-to person when it comes to caring for them when their owners are out of town. From walking, feeding, playing, administering medication, and more, I have absolutely loved getting to care for pets of all sizes and ages. As for my own pet experience, after moving to Birmingham in 2018 I applied to become a foster through Two by Two Rescue and began fostering (and quickly failed) with my sweet 13-year-old Pekingese, Max. He was truly the light of my life and we were the best of friends! He taught me a ton about how to care for senior dogs. Before his passing in 2021, I rescued my cat, Mews, and although she's a little hesitant around other pets she stays in her own space! At my own home, I do have stairs but have no issue helping any senior pups or dogs afraid of going upstairs feel comfortable. I used to have to carry Max all the time, haha. I'm also comfortable with pee pads as they used to be a staple in my apartment. I'm not particular about whether or not your pet is create trained and have no issue if they're not! As long as they'd be okay around my cat, I'm more than happy to let them roam around as they please. There are plenty of sidewalks around my apartment for walkies and we're close to a community park as well! Discussing my work schedule is something I do before my meet and greets just so we both have an understanding of expectations. However, my full-time job is a hybrid environment so I'm able to work remotely usually 2 days out of the week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) to care for your pet. On days I am in the office, I'm happy to run by your home during my lunch break if you're close to my office in Hoover. At my home, there is plenty of walking space to take your pup out and get some exercise. We can visit a local park near my house if that's something they'd enjoy. I'm also happy to crate your fur baby if needed.

About: I am a dog lover through and through! I grew up with dogs my whole life and have helped out friends and neighbors with house sitting, dog walking, and generally caring for their babies! My own family dog, Barkley is a boxer who has severe epilepsy and is on a strict medication schedule, so I understand the importance of careful attentiveness, especially when an animal requires extra care or monitoring. I often help care for him and our 12 year old boxer, Rudy. I have cared for older dogs, puppies, cats, and both large and small dogs! I can’t wait to help make your life easier! I am a teacher, so my days and nights are wide open for summer! I have a large amount of availability and would love to be there when you need me. I have a fenced yard and a very friendly medium sized golden retriever who would love to play with your animals outside if we are at my house, or we can play indoors. I am also happy to care for them at your house as well!

About: I grew up with a cat of 14 years and later my family adopted a husky which stole our hearts! Since, I have cared for not only my sisters set of 2 beautiful golden retrievers since they were brought home but other dogs of clients and I currently live with a cat! I am currently a 4th year medical student at UAB. My clinical rotation schedule currently is extremely light for the month of February I after 12 PM. And through March April in the first half of May, I am pretty much fully free. Under my care, pets will be brought outside for a potty breaks or a walk only on a safe leash. No dogs will be brought anywhere near roads or construction where they could get injured.

I’m an online college student at Jefferson State, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to plan my classes and coursework around pet care responsibilities. Because I’m home most of the day, I’m able to provide consistent attention, timely potty breaks, feeding on schedule, walks, playtime, and plenty of companionship. This flexibility is especially helpful for puppies who need frequent check ins and senior pets who benefit from routine and supervision. I structure my study time around the pets in my care rather than the other way around, so their needs always come first. This setup allows me to be reliable, responsive, and fully present for the pets I’m caring for throughout the week. I provide attentive, individualized care with pets that are in my client’s home, and I always follow the routine and preferences you set. In my client’s home, I focus on keeping pets comfortable in their familiar environment. I stick closely to their normal schedule for feeding, walks, playtime, and rest. I make sure litter boxes, yards, and feeding areas stay clean, administer medications if needed, and give plenty of affection and enrichment. I also keep an eye out for any changes in behavior or health and provide regular updates with photos and notes.
