About: I walk my dog twice a day, take him to socialize with other dogs, and give plenty of open window car rides. I’ve trained him when he was young and I have also taken care of a wide range of animals of other ages from the animal clinic that I shadow at. I’m aware of animal social cues and am plentiful in patience with all furry friends! I am a full time student, so my schedules do vary from each semester. As of right now, Mondays and Wednesdays, I am free after 3 pm. On Fridays, I am free after 12 pm. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, I am free after 5 pm. These two specific days would be better for home drop-ins and late afternoon dog walks! With my dog at home, I always keep him in my sight not only for his sake but for my own comfort. I just love being around animals all the time. Whether I am doing school work or chores, I always keep them included.

About: I was trained how to train dogs at an early age after our first dog was trained by our breeder. Since then I trained 2 golden retrievers and an Australian Cattle dog (red heeler). Both breeds are strong willed and have high energy. I work from home and so have a lot of freedom to break away to take care of dogs. About: Growing up I was the girl on the street who preferred petsitting to babysitting, and as soon I could in my 20s, I adopted the sickest oldest cats in the facilities and loved them until their deaths. In my 30s I’ve mixed it up and have two big rescue dogs, and we’ve been at the dog park nearly every day for 6 years now. Wow they grow fast! While I only have a balcony, it is good enough for my dogs to sunbathe on and stare at passersby. About: For as long as I can remember, there have always been pets in my life! Whether that was in my own home growing up, in a family member's home, at friends' houses, etc. I have often been the go-to person when it comes to caring for them when their owners are out of town. From walking, feeding, playing, administering medication, and more, I have absolutely loved getting to care for pets of all sizes and ages. As for my own pet experience, after moving to Birmingham in 2018 I applied to become a foster through Two by Two Rescue and began fostering (and quickly failed) with my sweet 13-year-old Pekingese, Max. He was truly the light of my life and we were the best of friends! He taught me a ton about how to care for senior dogs. Before his passing in 2021, I rescued my cat, Mews, and although she's a little hesitant around other pets she stays in her own space! At my own home, I do have stairs but have no issue helping any senior pups or dogs afraid of going upstairs feel comfortable. I used to have to carry Max all the time, haha. I'm also comfortable with pee pads as they used to be a staple in my apartment. I'm not particular about whether or not your pet is create trained and have no issue if they're not! As long as they'd be okay around my cat, I'm more than happy to let them roam around as they please. There are plenty of sidewalks around my apartment for walkies and we're close to a community park as well! Discussing my work schedule is something I do before my meet and greets just so we both have an understanding of expectations. However, my full-time job is a hybrid environment so I'm able to work remotely usually 2 days out of the week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) to care for your pet. On days I am in the office, I'm happy to run by your home during my lunch break if you're close to my office in Hoover. At my home, there is plenty of walking space to take your pup out and get some exercise. We can visit a local park near my house if that's something they'd enjoy. I'm also happy to crate your fur baby if needed.

About: Ever since I was a kid I had an inclination to care for animals, I use to take care of any strays that wondered about. That love for animals led me to work for a veterinary hospital for two years as a kennel tech where I cared for dogs and cats everyday and was able to make an emotional connection with those animals. About: Hey! I'm a medical student from Alabama located in Homewood. New to Rover, but I grew up with over ten cats and dogs and have owned my Jack Chi, Benoit, for three years, so I'm experienced with caring for animals of all breeds and sizes! My schedule varies depending on the week, but I am generally very flexible. I can do walks, drop-in visits, and boarding! I'm a full-time student and every week looks a little different! Generally very flexible and can accommodate most schedules. Just let me know what works best for you! Let me know your dog's daily routine and needs and I'll make sure they feel right at home with me! You'll get lots of photos/videos and updates, as I know how hard it can be to trust a stranger with your dog.
