“Anthony is an angel! He stayed at our home with our two very large Irish Wolfhound puppies and elderly cat. I know they were a handful. Anthony is a wonderful communicator and sent pictures daily showing they were all doing well. It was very difficult for us to leave our babies, but Anthony made it so much easier. We will definitely call on him in the future. We love you Anthony!!!”
“Mackenzie was immediately comfortable with the dogs. She was punctual. She sent pics and updates & very friendly. She was respectful of our home as well. Will definitely use her again!”

“Heather is perhaps the most attentive sitter that we have had for Lily. I appreciate how often she gets her out of the house to be able to run around on the property to get some exercise. It’s great that she gets as much playtime as she did especially on good days. The place was kept clean. Heather did have to leave for a few hours every day which she had asked permission in advance and that worked out just fine. Her communication was excellent and I always appreciate getting updates and pictures of Lily. I would have no problem recommending Heather to sit your pet.”

“We have a very high needs dog, but we came home to a very happy and healthy dog after 10 days away. Philipp came to the house to meet Fitz before our trip and took the time to get to know Fitz and his routine. The house was tidy upon our return, and we spent 10 days missing, but not feeling worried about, our dog. We will be booking Philipp again!”

“Destiny was great! I’ve got a oh who can be a little sensitive with strangers but Destiny was kind and confident with him from the beginning! She send regular pics and updates and I never worried leaving my pups with her!”

“Tiana took care of our geriatric dog and cat for a week this year. We were apprehensive about leaving them as they usually are able to stay with family. Tiana was a wonderful communicator sending us frequent photos and updates about their daily routines. In addition she took great care of our house even taking out the garbage cans without being asked and leaving clean sheets on our bed. We feel so grateful and she will be first on our list for pet sitting in the future.”

“Alice was great with my animals and my home. She is so kind and thoughtful, and my animals really felt at ease with her! Thanks Alice. Will definitely book with Alice the next time I need a sitter!”

“We had a good experience with house sitting for our very senior dog who wears diapers, is blind and mostly deaf. I felt he was in good hands and we got regular photos and updates about him which also helped. Our home was left very clean and he seemed calm when we returned.”

“Clarissa was wonderful with our geriatric guy! We could tell he was well cared for and comfortable while we were away, and she took extra care to keep him distracted and relaxed during the loud July 4th weekend. Communication was great with lots of updates!”

About: Has loved animals my entire life. Growing up, there was always a dog or cat (and sometimes both) to love like family. In 2018, I stumbled upon the greatest job ever, dog & cat sitting! Ever since, I’ve loved this job and feel blessed to be able to do something as fun as care for other people’s animals! I provide safety, efficiency, and a fun adventure. I strive to constantly go above and beyond to ensure a genuine, successful pet visit for everyone involved. I’m open to other species, as long as instructions are involved. I’m patient and a fast learner. Flexible, while always on time. Covid conscious as well, I remove my shoes upon arriving to your home, and washing my hands. Will wear a mask inside if you’d like! Feel free to ask any questions about my previous work, personality or how I will care for your babies. Disclaimer: if the sit is later in the evening, I like to take my partner along with me to ensure my own safety. He is a previous pet care provider, but currently is a carpet tech full time. If you’d like to know more, feel free to ask, and he can also come along to meet & greets. We can talk more about me not bringing him along if that makes you the most comfortable. During the day visits I don’t feel the need to bring him, mostly just later in the evenings. Thanks for reading! I work for Rover only. My schedule is extremely flexible, so I can be available most times of the day. Preferably between 8a and 9p. I care for all pets with the same undivided attention, love and care. I care for them as if they are my own, and strive to create a relationship between the pet and I, as well as the client and I.

“Penny was awesome, not only did she help us at the last minute. But she gave Gemma our boxer dog lot's of love. We are so happy to have Penny as our Portland Pet sitter. We were able to enjoy a fantastic experience because of her. I'd like to add not only did Gemma make a friend so did myself & Michael. We'd recommend Penny with A + + . Thanks Rose, Michael & Gemma”

“Amberle is the sweetest and a true professional! Our pets loved her so much and she was so communicative we really felt our pets were in great hands. She is so sweet and left the house better in better shape than we left it! We will 100% be trusting Amberle with our pets again!”

About: I grew up with dogs in the house, always loved spending time with my friends dogs and cuddling with my own. My childhood dog Lucy I helped take care of until she passed at 13. I currently help care for my 10-year-old family husky that has hip problems. I love hyper puppies and tiring them out with play. I'm good with stressful situations. Due to my past caregiving jobs I am used to sorting and administering medicine, and with my own husky i'm used to giving dogs medication. I am occasionally working for a family friend for caregiving, but its usually maybe 5 times a week, so pet sitting will be no problem. I like things clean so I will make sure to put toys where they go and tidy around the house while I'm there. I like grooming dogs, seeing as I have a husky I am no stranger to a lot of fur, as well as cleaning up after grooming.
About: I’m able to take care of dogs, lizards, cats of all sizes, personally I own two Scottish collies, and one bearded dragon. I’ve owned all of them for about 6 years. Im working part time at a senior living home, and I’ll be able to be taking care of your loved pets Monday to Thursday. It could occasionally change depending on my work schedule. Either way I can always work around it. My backyard is fenced, it has three tiers, and I live right next to a trail where I could take your pets on a run or a nice walk!
“Angelique took such great care of my boy. He got sick while she was house sitting and she was great at communicating with me, went out and got him pumpkin puree to settle his tummy and even went back to her house to get a carpet shampooer to scrub my carpet. Thank you so much!”

Jesica B.
“Jesica has been my pet sitter for 2 years. I have always been impressed with her level of responsibility and compassion. She has shown quick thinking and staying focused while walking my dog when another dog came charging up and attacked my dog. Her ability to handle a stressful and frightening experience helped to diffuse the dog fight and get herself and my dog to safety. I have animals that are on medications and Jesica has been very responsible in both administering these medications and in keeping the medication schedule. When I go out of town I really appreciate having Jesica staying at my house for overnight visits. Knowing that my animals will have a loving and professional care giver gives me peace of mind. This allows me to enjoy my vacation so much more. Jesica is a wonderful and caring person and pet sitter. I strongly recommend her for employment at Rover.com.”
