About: Hello my name is Yesica, you can call me Yesi. I am down to earth, friendly, and caring. I am soft spoken and polite, but can be stern when needed. I am a reliable person who is willing to go above and beyond what is asked of me and what needs to be done. I have been a dog owner since I was in 4th grade but animals have always been a great passion to me. I currently have two chihuahuas of my own. They are my whole heart, I see them as family and I hope to care for yours like I care for mine. I want to provide your pet with the most comfortable experience I can. I have helped with dogs from birthing of puppies to caring of senior dogs. I have more experience with small dogs and other small animals but I love to work with larger dogs as well. I am a big believer of proper animal care. An animals well being is the greatest concern I have while watching it. Animals are family, they deserve the best care we can provide. I am always open for constructive criticism, and welcome you to address any issues you may have. I work a full-time job Monday through Wednesday and Fridays 8:45 to 6 and Saturdays 8:15 to 6pm. But after work I am able to give your dog my full attention. I am a big believer of attending to a pets needs to the way they need and you provide. I prefer sitting pets at their homes to stress them out the least possible and keep part of their routine.

About: I've taken care of pets ever since I was a kid. When I was in high school, my family hosted dogs of all sizes, including one of my favorites, a Burnese Mountain Dog named Ruby. Lately I've had the chance to watch my brother's two dogs (as seen in my bio pics) when he travels. I work a semi-active full time job over the week, with plenty of energy to spare when I'm not working. I am fully available over the weekends from Friday evening straight through to Sunday! I also am free on weekdays for walks or drop-ins as long as it's before 7:30 am or after 5 pm. Your dog will stay in a cozy, smoke-free condo where they are welcome on the furniture and bed. While I don't have a yard, I love taking long, frequent walks around the neighborhood. For their comfort and safety, I host one family at a time and ask that owners provide the dog's preferred bed or crate if possible
“My usual sitter had an emergency & had to cancel on us. I found Rover.com & Edgar came to our rescue!! He was extremely accommodating with last minute plans for our two pups!! He has a beautiful fenced back yard & family that also helped to make our fur babies feel more at home. I could tell from update photos & messages daily that my boys were being well taken care of. Highly recommended!! Thanks again, Edgar & fam ❤️”

“Simba had a great time with Allis Im sure he will miss being over there. Allis is a great sitter, sends videos and pictures throughout stay and you can tell she truly cares about your pet as if her own. Definitely recommend her and will be booking with her in future.”

About: I've been a full time veterinary assistant for 5 years now. I've loved animals since I was a child. I pet sit friends and family pets. I work really close to my apartment. I am able to take care of your pet before and after work. I can stop by my apartment on my lunch break and take care of your pet, if needed. I do not work on weekends. My apartment has a dog park, but I do like going on long walks. Play time is essential. Giving treats as a reward for training.
“Courtney (and her family) are the best! Leo always has a great time and comes back to us happy. The constant communication about how he is doing is always appreciated. Thank you!”

“Danielle was awesome, and totally put us at ease for Mack’s first time staying away from home without mom and dad. Danielle and her family treated Mack like one of their own, sent frequent text and photo updates, and Danielle even slept on the couch with Mack the first night since he was not quite settled in. Anytime we need to board Mack, Danielle will be our first choice!”

“Kent was amazing with our Susie! He has so much compassion and love to give. He only takes one dog at a time so he can give all his attention to her. I highly recommend him!”

“I was nervous to board my 17-year-old dog, but Lyn's experience gave me comfort. I knew I made the right call when I dropped my dog off. Lyn's family was welcoming and made me and my dog feel like we made the right decision. Lyn sent pictures and updates while I was gone, so I didn't have to worry. I would definitely board with Lyn again!”

“Penny was amazing! I left my pup, Ginger, with her for 2 weeks while we were out of country. Penny sent pictures of Ginger and made sure she had plenty of activity. I even noticed that Ginger had lost a few pounds that she needed to lose! I would highly recommend Penny!”

“I had a previous dog sitter for 7 years with my dog. This was my 1st time using Kathy . I had to find a new sitter for a full week and I will admit I was a bit nervous. But I must say, My dog seemed extremely relaxed/happy when I picked him up. From what I can tell after picking him up and observing my dogs behavior, she did a great job. I will be using her again”

“Christina and her family were the perfect house for our 8 month old puppy. They were amazing with him and Charlie and their dog became fast friends. We are grateful to have found a home we trust when we go out of town. Highly recommend Christina!”

“This was our first time leaving our pup for more than a few days and needless to say we were only a little tightly wound about it. But Shirley made us feel like we could breathe on our travels and actually be present in the moments. Not only did she keep him loved and cared for, but she was the ultimate documentarian, showering us with plenty of pics and videos to never feel left out. I would highly recommend Shirley for any pet care taking needs, and would love to have her watch Kaito again.”

“Rosie once again has taken very good care of our little "special needs" doggie, Peanut. My husband and I could tell that Peanut was loved, cuddled, walked, and given much attention- of which we are very grateful for. Rosie is also good at giving Peanut his medicine! We highly recommend her to pet owners in need of a sitter!”

“Michael took care of my dog really well! She seemed really happy to be there and got alone well with the dogs. The responses were fast and updated me on my dog. I will book again when needed!”

David and Susan, very ably assisted by their son Jackson, took wonderful care of our 8-month old puppy on his recent 2 day stay. They were caring, attentive and communicative with us during our puppy's first stay away from home. We highly recommend them and hope they are available the next time we need a place for our dog to stay.

5 Stars for Harrison 😀. Benny has alot of care instructions and Harrison followed all the instructions perfectly. At the meet and greet Harrison asked so many good questions regarding Bennys care. Harrison was very attentive to Benny’s special needs and sent updates multiple times a day with photos which was greatly appreciated. I can tell Benny felt at ease with Harrison and would be looking to book with Harrison for future dates. So happy we found Harrison on Rover who met our every need for our Benny. Thanks Harrison!!

Great first stay for Bingo. Robert was very willing to work with Bingo to make her feel part of the pack. The daily updates showed how she was enjoying her stay and making new friends. We know Bingo will be happy and well cared for when staying with Robert, Percy and Teddy.

Edgar helped us out last minute. He communicated during the entire two night stay, provided lots of pictures and updates and was patient and understanding with our dog since this was the first time we had left him with someone else. We appreciated everything he did for our dog and can’t recommend him enough! Thank you Edgar and his kids for loving our dog while we were gone!

Ashley was incredible! She sent an update with pictures every evening so we knew what they were up to and gave peace of mind while missing our girl. She was so attentive to Winnie - Let us know when her ear seemed to bother her and was down to clean her ears and offered to go purchase solution if needed. She checked with us prior to be sure Winnie could have a piece of Thanksgiving turkey and even got her a special toy during her own errand run which she still carries around. Couldn’t have asked for a better sitter! Would recommend to anyone!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
