About: Hello my name is Yesica, you can call me Yesi. I am down to earth, friendly, and caring. I am soft spoken and polite, but can be stern when needed. I am a reliable person who is willing to go above and beyond what is asked of me and what needs to be done. I have been a dog owner since I was in 4th grade but animals have always been a great passion to me. I currently have two chihuahuas of my own. They are my whole heart, I see them as family and I hope to care for yours like I care for mine. I want to provide your pet with the most comfortable experience I can. I have helped with dogs from birthing of puppies to caring of senior dogs. I have more experience with small dogs and other small animals but I love to work with larger dogs as well. I am a big believer of proper animal care. An animals well being is the greatest concern I have while watching it. Animals are family, they deserve the best care we can provide. I am always open for constructive criticism, and welcome you to address any issues you may have. I work a full-time job Monday through Wednesday and Fridays 8:45 to 6 and Saturdays 8:15 to 6pm. But after work I am able to give your dog my full attention. I am a big believer of attending to a pets needs to the way they need and you provide. I prefer sitting pets at their homes to stress them out the least possible and keep part of their routine.
“I try to always tip in cash. For some reason I don't know I just feel like it's safer. But I won't let my cat stay with anybody else for Katie. Katie makes your animal feel like they are one of her family. My cat is very skittish and afraid of strangers. But not with Katie. She is absolutely the best! If you want the best than book with Katie!”

“Melissa is amazing! She kept me updated daily and even sent pictures!! I felt at ease knowing my pup was been very well taken care of. I would definitely recommend her!”

“This was Mocha's first time with Danielle, and Danielle took such good care of her. She sent me pictures and kept me posted on how Mocha was doing. Danielle even got Mocha to eat - when usually Mocha doesn't eat much if she's somewhere other than home. We already have Mocha's next stay with Danielle booked!”
“Courtney (and her family) are the best! Leo always has a great time and comes back to us happy. The constant communication about how he is doing is always appreciated. Thank you!”

“Kelly and Tariq were amazing sitters, took care of our 7 month old pup so well. They kept us updated, sent pictures, and were very accommodating. Their house was well appointed, fenced back yard and a sweet dog of their own to welcome our pup in and keep her company. We were so relieved to have them watch our pup!”

“Nina took great care of our dog. She went above and beyond to help calm him when he was rattled and nervous in a new setting and there was bad weather. He had lots of space to run and play in her yard. She sent a picture and update every day.”

“Judy was Amazing with our dog Percy. From the first day Percy met her he felt very comfortable. We also felt very comfortable leaving him knowing he will be taken care of. Judy kept us updated and sent lots of photos. He seemed to really be enjoying his time there with every photo we saw of him. We highly recommend Judy and we will definitely be using her for future bookings.”

“You will not find a better dog sitter. I feel like we won the lottery with Terri. I wasn’t sure if Murphy would even want to come back to us. The best updates with pictures throughout the day, fantastic long walks and a special toy to take home. Murphy was with her for and extended time and we trusted her the entire time.”

“omg! I can't describe how happy I am to find Robynn, my little princess was so happy my little dog loves her so much. Robynn, she is so sweet she is very loving with all the puppies. Thank you so much Robynn!🥰🥰🥰🥰”

About: I've been a full time veterinary assistant for 5 years now. I've loved animals since I was a child. I pet sit friends and family pets. I work really close to my apartment. I am able to take care of your pet before and after work. I can stop by my apartment on my lunch break and take care of your pet, if needed. I do not work on weekends. My apartment has a dog park, but I do like going on long walks. Play time is essential. Giving treats as a reward for training.
“We are so thankful for Melissa! A last minute change of plans left us scrambling to find someone to watch our Scooby Doo. Melissa was super accommodating and helpful. She made Scooby feel at home and we joked that he wasn’t going to want to come home. He immediately had a friendship with her dog Thor and her backyard gave him lots of room for zoomies. Scooby can be a handful, but we never once doubted that he was have as much fun on his vacation as we were on ours! She provided lots of pictures and videos, which made us so happy! We love seeing someone love Scooby as much as we do. We will be using Melissa in the future!”

“Penny looked after Ginger as a trial night before we go on a longer trip this summer. I could tell Ginger had a blast and Penny is very caring with the dogs. I’m not concerned with leaving my pup with Penny when I have to be gone this summer. Thank you Penny and Ginger and I will see you again soon!”

“Very friendly, meet and greet went well. We received pictures while we were away of our dog playing with other dogs and outdoors. Very flexible when our flight was delayed returning. Thank you. Our pup will visit again!”

“I am so picky about who watches Indy when I am away. I am so thankful i found Mary Jo and Dennis. They treated Indy like he was their own and put me at ease. Thank you so so much for taking care of my little one.”

Will is the best!!! I would give him 10 stars if I could! My dog, Frankie, has stayed with Will a couple of times and when I dropped her off this time, she literally pulled me straight to his front door. I know with certainty that my baby is taken care of when she’s with Will!! <3

Edgar helped us out last minute. He communicated during the entire two night stay, provided lots of pictures and updates and was patient and understanding with our dog since this was the first time we had left him with someone else. We appreciated everything he did for our dog and can’t recommend him enough! Thank you Edgar and his kids for loving our dog while we were gone!

Ashley was incredible! She sent an update with pictures every evening so we knew what they were up to and gave peace of mind while missing our girl. She was so attentive to Winnie - Let us know when her ear seemed to bother her and was down to clean her ears and offered to go purchase solution if needed. She checked with us prior to be sure Winnie could have a piece of Thanksgiving turkey and even got her a special toy during her own errand run which she still carries around. Couldn’t have asked for a better sitter! Would recommend to anyone!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
