About: Hi! I'm Janis—a current college student on a gap semester, excited to meet your pet(s)! I’ve been caring for all kinds of animals since I was young—dogs, cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, fish—you name it! Over the years, I’ve worked with a wide range of dogs— from energetic puppies to senior dogs, as well as large breeds like Pit Bulls, Samoyeds, and Labradors. I am open to making exceptions for some large breeds depending on their behavior and after a meet-and-greet. I’ve also volunteered at an animal shelter, where I gained experience walking and handling anxious dogs. My experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant has given me strong familiarity with handling medications, special diets, and injury care. I’m highly attentive, detail-oriented, and comfortable following specific care instructions to ensure your pet’s safety and well-being. I’m very responsive and make sure pet parents always feel connected by sending frequent photo and video updates. I take time to understand each pet’s personality and bond with them through the activities they enjoy most. I’m currently on a gap semester, which gives me a very flexible schedule for pet care. I’m able to spend most of the day with them, with exceptions for errands, but they will never be left alone, as I live with family. I provide at least 2–3 walks or potty breaks per day, and I’m happy to adjust based on your pet’s needs and routine. I also accept last-minute bookings whenever possible! I prioritize safety, comfort, and clear communication at all times. I’m primarily based in Brooklyn, where I live in a house with a fenced front yard and provide most of my pet care services. I also occasionally stay at a second home in Pasadena, Maryland with a large fenced backyard and offer care locally there when I’m in the area. I do not transport pets between locations– services are always provided in one consistent environment to ensure your pet’s comfort and safety. During walks, I take a cautious approach by starting in quieter areas with minimal traffic to help pets feel secure, especially in new environments. I always pay close attention to their behavior and surroundings. I live with my family, so pets will never be left alone if I had to run out, and I always communicate this clearly with owners ahead of time. I currently don’t have other pets in my Brooklyn home aside from fish, which allows me to give your pet my full attention. I can also follow instructions like crating or separating pets if needed.

About: I grew up with pets and have a sweet Shihpoo of my own. I grew up with a border collie, 2 cats and a duck named Millie. I also used to sit for my friends dogs when they traveled before I got a dog of my own. I love animals and would love to walk and love yours. Since I have a Shihpoo of my own pet care for me is daily. She’s still a puppy, and I’ve been training her which I’m finding super rewarding. I walk my own pup 3-4 times a day. It was important that I got her house broken as quickly as possible. Now that she is 10 months she’s perfect at waiting to go outside to use the bathroom. My pup is very active and I understand pups that have a lot of energy on walks. I have my pup redirect her energy by bringing treats on our walks and having her perform several commands.

About: I'm a trustworthy, patient person with over 7 years of experience with pet care. I specialize in cat sitting and am familiar with handling anxious animals. I've worked with cats and am very respectful of their space and needs. I've also have puppy and Boston Terrier experience so I understand how unevenly tempered or high-energy dogs, might behave. I'm a kind, supportive rock which helps me do what is needed for the furbaby. I am also TNR certified and am a community cat caretaker. For your home I also aim to go the extra mile in keeping it clean, orderly and managed. You can be rest assured that any problems will be handled swiftly and with constant communication with you. I am generally flexible with scheduling and location - focusing on SouthWest Brooklyn but I can also service lower Manhattan and some parts of Queens. Let me know your preferences and I can work with your needs. I balance out the owner's preferences, strictly following a provided caresheet, (day or night, how many hours etc) and feel out what the animal needs emotionally (are they anxious, high energy or prefer to sit at a distance for company) so that everyone is a happy camper. By default, I tend to take 1-2 pictures per day/service - if you want more or less just let me know! For house-sitting cats, litter management is always included! (unless specifically requested not to). For house-sitting dogs, walks are included! ( NOTE: This does not apply to drop-ins )
