“Amanda did a wonderful job with our pup Chewy during the past week. She was also on time, attentive with updates and even has been teaching him small tricks! I would use her again for walks with our pup and he enjoyed his time with her. She is a wonderful dog walker.”

“Wow wow! I would give 100 stars if I could! About: I’ve taken care of puppies from a few weeks old to a few years each day for my family. As well, I work for Animal Planet and do a ton of work with dogs of all ages through the Puppy Bowl. Plenty of experience with small or large breeds. I work from home 4 days a week so I would be able to day sit most weekdays, while going for a walk every couple of hours. Weekends and overnight are a bit more limited but still possible at times. I live in a third floor apartment with elevator access, and have access to nearby dog parks. In my home, they will have access to my full apartment, couches/bed, toys. I can offer a quiet environment as well having experience with dogs with severe anxiety.
“Melissa has been great with my dog Maggie. She came early to meet her and was patient as it takes a couple of visits before she warms up. She gave me lots of updates and was open to playing, puzzles etc. I’ve already booked more walks with Melissa 😊”

“Jennifer is amazing! She takes such good care of my pup and always lets me know how their walk went. I know I can always trust that Cleo is in good hands.”

“Lisa took excellent care of my senior dog. He has a few behavorial quirks that she understood and handled without any issues. She is very reliable, conscientious and communicated well with updates and feedback. I highly recommend her to anyone seeking pet care!”

About: Hi! I am an experienced animal lover and caretaker with 15+ years of experience caring for animals. I have volunteered at my local animal shelter for years now, which provided me the opportunity to walk, care for, and even train many types of dogs and cats of all ages and sizes. I have experience in dog training and I have a rescue cat of my own named Vader. I often pet sit for my friends and family, and I genuinely love caring for animals and spending time with them. I am transitioning careers so I have plenty of time to care for your beloved pets. I am available all days of the week and am flexible with my schedule. Since I am home almost all the time, your pet will always have a companion. My home is safe for cats as I have a cat myself and I have plenty of toys and scratchers.
“Ismail is a very reliable dog sitter. He walked our 2 year old Australian shepherd twice a day in the morning and night, and was very responsive if there were any issues or other communication. Highly recommend him!”
About: Favorite pastime: exploring with fur babies. I help friends with pet sitting, and I've also done pet/house sitting with Trusted Housesitters. I love exploring nature with animals, and can take them on long hikes. I can also play with them indoors for hours on end. I work freelance/remote, so my schedule adjusts to the pet's schedule. I have plenty of time to play with them, sit at home with them, or take them out for walks. Pets are always on a leash if out of the home. No phones on walks so I can be present with the animal. I can provide as much cuddles and validation as they need to ease their separation anxiety. I can also crate them if need be, this varies by pet and owner.
“Nour was so great with my dog who is blind and requires special care and attention! Nour was communicative and followed my instructions very closely and made sure to update me about how the walk went . She is clearly very good with animals and very professional with clients!”

“Alex was great with my male Bernese Mountain Dog weighing 130 pounds. He handled my dog confidently and calmly, which is especially important given his size. We live in a densely populated area, and Alex did an excellent job managing walks safely and responsibly around people and distractions. I felt very comfortable trusting him with my dog and would absolutely recommend him to anyone with a large breed.”

About: I've been around dogs since I was a baby. Everyone in my family has had multiple dogs throughout my life, including me. I have experience walking, feeding and taking overall care of all dogs in my family. I'm currently unemployed and looking for a job at a Vet clinic to get more experience in the field! I will be attending school to become a Vet Tech in the spring. I do have a puppy of my own that I need to take time out of the day to be with but I am readily available most of the time and can do multiple drop-ins / walks throughout the day. I have a fenced yard and two friendly dogs to keep your fur baby safe. I can also crate your dog or section off a part of the house for them if needed :)
Dyker Heights dog parents share their Rover experiences
Nour was great, professional and patient with my two large Goldendoodles that demand special attention and does not get along with other dogs that much. My dogs liked her and went for a nice long walk and had nice afternoon relief time. I recommend Nour and will be using her in future!

Lindsay was absolutely wonderful. Was communicative and flexible to make some walks work while I was out of town. She was professional and gracious, provided detailed reports and pictures, and overall I would recommend her with no hesitation and use her again. Thanks, Lindsay!

I have used Amanda on many different occasions and she is always extremely professional, responsible, friendly, trustworthy, and of course, is great with my dog! She is very accommodating when I have last minute requests and I’m very happy and grateful for her excellent service and care!
