I currently have a Boxer and a Pitbull/Schnauzer mix, and we’re always going on walks, hikes, and park adventures together. I’m trained in walking dogs on standard leashes, slip leads, harnesses, choke collar (although, not personally preferred), retractable leashes, “no pull” harnesses, muzzles, etc. Previously, I volunteered at an animal shelter for years where I was properly trained on walking different degrees of behaviorally ranked dogs. Each level requires a 10 hour orientation so as to make sure both the dog and I were safe. I still apply many of those useful techniques today. I’ve owned, worked with and volunteered with dog breeds of all sizes and all kinds of personalities for many years and across NYC. I also adore cats, fish and reptiles as well. 🐠🐢🦎 I can help with walking, feeding / administering medication or vitamins, socialization, basic training (leash training, off-leash training, crate training, positive reinforcement, sit, stay, down, paw (and “other paw”), behavioral fixes like pulling on leash, etc), daycare for short or longer stays, drop-ins and whatever else you need! We can also work out trips to the dog park, groomer, vet, etc. Importantly, I am looking into becoming a certified dog trainer in the coming year 🐕🦺 My own dog gets 4-5 walks a day with a substantial exercise session as one of them! Clients have the opportunity to set their own schedules with me. I am available early, late, weekends and holidays! Working with animals is my full time occupation at the moment. However, when I am working in my other profession (legal & tech), I work solely from home. So, I am always local. I live in an apartment in a very secure, dog-friendly building with a fenced yard outside. These are cameras everywhere. If I am boarding a dog, no matter the duration, I will make myself available to FaceTime at any time so that parents are reassured and at ease. I am within minutes of an animal hospital should anything arise. About: Coming from a family of breeders, I grew to learn how to take care and love dogs who are not all mine. I have a dog of my own but she stays with my mom where she is less anxious. I love and miss my dog so by allowing me to take care of yours will help me just as much as I am helping you! I’m currently a full time student with a part time internship.
