About: I've been walking, sitting, and watching dogs for about 10 years now. Started out helping neighbors and friends with their dogs and it kind of snowballed from there. Since then I've done pretty much everything: daily walks, quick drop-ins when someone's stuck at work, overnight stays, dogs staying with me for a few days at a time. The big thing for me is that I work remotely, so I'm home most of the day. That means I'm not cramming a walk in before rushing off somewhere, and I can usually be flexible with last-minute drop-ins or schedule changes. Dogs in my care get real attention, not just a quick in-and-out. I've spent a lot of time with puppies, so I'm used to the extra patience that takes. Reinforcing potty training, redirecting chewing, keeping them from bouncing off the walls. I've also cared for older dogs who move slower, might be on medication, or just need someone paying closer attention day to day. When dogs stay at my place, I treat it like they're hanging out at a second home, not being "watched." I always send photos and updates so people aren't left wondering how things are going. What sets me apart is just consistency. 10 years, lots of different dogs, lots of different situations. Since I work remotely, dog care fits in pretty seamlessly throughout my day rather than being squeezed into a couple set windows. I can step away for a walk whenever it's needed, whether that's one walk a day or four or five spread out for a puppy or a dog with a medical need. I'm not tied to a desk or an office schedule, so if a dog needs a midday potty break, an extra walk because of weather, or just more frequent outside time, that's easy for me to make happen. On weekends it's even more flexible since I don't have any work commitments at all. Basically, however many walks or check-ins a dog needs on a given day, I can build my schedule around that instead of the other way around. Here's the updated version with that detail worked in: In my home: When a dog stays with me, they get free run of the space, and there's plenty of it. We're a 3-floor home with a backyard, so dogs aren't cooped up in one room all day. If owners are comfortable with yard access, that's available too, otherwise I'll stick to walks only, whatever the owner prefers. I keep a consistent routine with feeding, walks, and bathroom breaks, and there's plenty of downtime as well, whether that's cuddling on the couch or just hanging out nearby while I work. If there are multiple dogs, I keep an eye on how they're getting along so everyone's comfortable. I also dog-proof anything that needs it ahead of time, like putting away food, trash, or anything chewable. In a client's home: For drop-ins or walks at someone's place, I stick to their normal routine as closely as possible. Same feeding times, same walking route if they have one, same rules around furniture or crating. I treat the home with respect, lock up when I leave, and make sure the dog has water, has gone to the bathroom, and is settled before I go. For longer stays in a client's home, I keep things running the way the owner normally would rather than doing things my way.
“Annie was amazing with our two cats. One is quite shy and takes a bit to warm up to new people but Annie managed to make him feel safe and he trusted her in no time! Annie's detailed updates and photos made our day while we were away. We look forward to booking her again and would highly recommend her services to others.”

“So grateful Trinity stepped up last minute to drop in our cat after a friend had to cancel. Great communication throughout including complete rover card reports with photos! Highly recommend.”
“We are so grateful for Megan! She was super accommodating for our same-week request on a holiday weekend. From the beginning of the booking until the end, she was enthusiastic, communicative, and understanding. She took adorable photos of our kitties and updated us on how they were doing during the visit. We will definitely book her again soon <3”

“Nicole has been great walking my boy! She always gives detailed updates. My dog can be a bit difficult at times, but she's always checking in to let me know how he did or if there are any issues. She's also super flexible with scheduling! Super helpful as someone who randomly goes into the office.”

“Rebecca is always communicative and timely. We are very grateful she was able to watch our cats while we were away for a long weekend; she always sends us great photos and updates to put us at ease.”

“Sarah saved me when I was called to go in a business trip over a holiday weekend. She left a very detailed report and was very communicative! My sweet girl who is afraid of strangers even let Sarah pet her! Would highly recommend.”

About: I have experience taking care of dogs for the past fifteen years! From watching neighbors yorkies and my own boxers, I have a range of experience taking care of dogs of all sizes and ages, including deaf dogs and administering medication. I also have experience training dogs, having completed three courses, one of which was focused on training deaf animals. I understand the right dynamic with dogs (they are our furry friends but we have to show good judgement to keep them safe) and would love the chance to walk some furry friends. I live next to prospect park and work remote, so I can make sure dogs are well taken care of, get out for walks and exercise when needed; I work remote and have extreme flexibility in my schedule which can accommodate your pet! My apartment is spacious and they’ll have privacy as they need. I have had dogs my entire life, with four boxers and one goldendoodle. I currently work remote, so pet care fits into my schedule as needed. Weekends are open and most days are open as well. I am available to do walks, check-ins, or boarding as needed! I always make sure the dog will be safe. On walks I will make sure they are not exposed to anything unsafe (including being careful of other dogs, aware of surroundings etc). Some dogs are easier than others and I get that but prefer to be safe! What I find the most important is to make sure they can maintain their normal doggy routine - dogs love consistency (in addition to treats and walks and pets).
About: For the last 6 years I have been all of my friends go to dog walker/sitter and now I’m a lucky mom to a 1 year old terrier poodle mix. And my philosophy is the more dogs I get to love the better!! Right now I’m taking a break from my day job and would love to fill my day with dog walks and dog visits! I have a very flexible schedule right now. I will make sure to treat your dog with love and care that I would want for my own baby! I will be patient and loving and make sure to listen to all of your needs and request!
“Sarah was great with our two cats! She went above and beyond to locate our very shy kitten who refused to emerge from hiding spots. She was very responsive and I’ll definitely be using her again!”

“Lena did a terrific job. She sent so many pictures and videos of our sweetie each day we were gone. You could tell how much our cat loved the affection and play time with Lena. Highly recommend Lena.”

“Amy was super conscientious, communicative and always punctual. She asked a lot of questions and made sure to clarify details ahead of time. She took a lot of photos and clearly took good care of our cat, who can be quite picky! She even tried different strategies to keep our cat engaged and entertained during our time away. Would not hesitate to use her again!”

About: I have extensive hands-on experience in dog training, beginning with my first dog, a Jack Russell Terrier. Through agility and obedience training with her, I developed a strong understanding of canine behaviour, communication, and structure. I provide long, structured walks tailored to each dog’s individual energy level, temperament, and needs. At the owner’s request, I also incorporate basic obedience training, behaviour correction, and work on specific challenges such as leash pulling, reactivity, or lack of focus. I am attentive, patient, and consistent in my approach, always prioritising safety, mental stimulation, and the overall well-being of every dog in my care. I'm currently free on weekdays and sometimes on weekends too, early mornings and afternoons fits for me. I'm flexible for changes in my schedule and can adjust it to yours as well The safety and comfort of every pet is my top priority. Whether I am caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, I make sure they are in a clean, secure, and calm environment. After walks, I always wipe or wash their paws, and I can bathe them if needed. I follow the owner’s instructions carefully regarding feeding, treats, routines, and any special requirements. If medication is required, I administer it responsibly and exactly as directed. I pay close attention to each pet’s behaviour and comfort level to ensure they feel safe, relaxed, and well cared for at all times.
“Once again, Jean is wonderful!! Every time she looks after my cat I’m at ease. She’s responsive, she’s on top of everything, she clearly loves animals, and my cat is always happy and healthy when I return.”
“I have two kitties (both rescues) and I was so hesitant getting a sitter for a while because I know that they can be a handful at times. But I saw that Marie has loads of foster cat experience. She did amazing with my two fluffs and asked all the important questions. I was able to totally trust her to take care of them while I was away, which really helped me relax and enjoy my holiday. My kitties love Marie and I’ll be hiring her again. Highly recommend.”

“Pacts was great with my 8-year-old shy dog. I needed him to come over for an introduction walk so my dog would feel more comfortable. He was very patient with her while they were being introduced. He gave me a full update after their walk. I felt very comfortable knowing she was in great hands. I will be using Pacts again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Greenwood
Deborah as always was very consistent and detail oriented in her notes about the cats and home condition. During her drop ins, she helped manage A/C temps, windows, etc as temperatures fluctuated with the heat and also some heavy rains. Notably, she noticed that one of our elder cats was unusually lethargic, and sent some videos to demonstrate the condition. We agreed to have her take the cat to the vet, which she did — no easy feat since she had to coax our cat into a carrier (not something he does often), and she endured an upset cat spraying all over her in the elevator! She spent a few extra hours to deal with this situation, so as always appreciate Deborah going above and beyond.

Bazarkul was so wonderful in every way. My cat Jackson was comfortable with her immediately, she took such great care of him. Took awesome photos and videos, and took very good care of our home as well. I highly recommend her without hesitation and will absolutely rebook with her for next time. :) Thank you!!

We had a great experience with Miranda! Upon first meeting the cats for the meet and greet, she took to our cats well and we definitely could tell she was kind, caring, and experienced watching after other people’s pets. She communicated with us during her visits, made sure all care instructions were followed, and even made sure to get eyes on our most scared little guy each time, even though he is known to hide very well! We would certainly trust Miranda to care for our kitties again in the future.
