About: Hi! I'm Janis—a current college student on a gap semester, excited to meet your pet(s)! I’ve been caring for all kinds of animals since I was young—dogs, cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, fish—you name it! Over the years, I’ve worked with a wide range of dogs— from energetic puppies to senior dogs, as well as large breeds like Pit Bulls, Samoyeds, and Labradors. I am open to making exceptions for some large breeds depending on their behavior and after a meet-and-greet. I’ve also volunteered at an animal shelter, where I gained experience walking and handling anxious dogs. My experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant has given me strong familiarity with handling medications, special diets, and injury care. I’m highly attentive, detail-oriented, and comfortable following specific care instructions to ensure your pet’s safety and well-being. I’m very responsive and make sure pet parents always feel connected by sending frequent photo and video updates. I take time to understand each pet’s personality and bond with them through the activities they enjoy most. I’m currently on a gap semester, which gives me a very flexible schedule for pet care. I’m able to spend most of the day with them, with exceptions for errands, but they will never be left alone, as I live with family. I provide at least 2–3 walks or potty breaks per day, and I’m happy to adjust based on your pet’s needs and routine. I also accept last-minute bookings whenever possible! I prioritize safety, comfort, and clear communication at all times. I’m primarily based in Brooklyn, where I live in a house with a fenced front yard and provide most of my pet care services. I also occasionally stay at a second home in Pasadena, Maryland with a large fenced backyard and offer care locally there when I’m in the area. I do not transport pets between locations– services are always provided in one consistent environment to ensure your pet’s comfort and safety. During walks, I take a cautious approach by starting in quieter areas with minimal traffic to help pets feel secure, especially in new environments. I always pay close attention to their behavior and surroundings. I live with my family, so pets will never be left alone if I had to run out, and I always communicate this clearly with owners ahead of time. I currently don’t have other pets in my Brooklyn home aside from fish, which allows me to give your pet my full attention. I can also follow instructions like crating or separating pets if needed.

She sent us such cute pictures and Maple was clearly super comfortable with her and happy to have her stop by to feed her and take her for a walk. She communicated with us really well and made us feel like Maple was in really good hands, which allowed us to be able to enjoy ourselves on our trip away. About: I grew up with dogs of all kinds (German shepard, Pekinese, chihuahuas, Pomeranians, golden retrievers) and have always looked after family and friends dogs while away since elementary school! I have two dogs of my own! I am currently working part time as a medical assistant in outpatient psychiatry. On my days off, I love hanging out with my dogs, teaching them new tricks, long walks along the shore, going to parks and going on runs together! I have a private home with two friendly malteses who are always looking for new friends! About: I’ve taken care of pets since 15. I gained all of my experience that I have today through taking care of neighbors, friends, colleagues, and family’s pets. I am a loving, kind, caring, and patient person. I learned so much from caring for animals, that I adore them so much! Also additional, I have experience with puppies, kittens, and senior pets. I’m currently a college student, my classes are held online. Which gives me plenty of time to spend with the doggies. My weekends are busy but I can do mornings only. “Angel went above and beyond in her care for our pets. One of our Guinea Pigs was actually pregnant and gave birth while we were away- none of us expected or had experienced this before- and Angel herself works mostly with cats and dogs but she handled it like a pro! She took such great care of all of the babies and sent us pictures and videos every day as requested, which was so fun for my kids because they wanted to be there. She bought more veggies for them as needed and kept their cages very clean. I will definitely be using Angel again in the future and I highly recommend her!”

About: I have 2 cats that we adopted from a rescue organization. While I don't have formal experience in pet sitting, I am currently a special education therapist and work with kids ages 2-5. I have been in the field for over 15 years already! I am a warm and caring individual while being able to set clear expectations for kids and pets to follow. I am also a single parent to my kids, now ages 11 and 14. I won't be working much this summer so I will have plenty of flexibility to care for your pets! I can do up to 5 drop-ins for cats and 2 dog walkings per day. My schedule will be open for bookings starting end of June until beginning of September. About: I grew up with pets and have a sweet Shihpoo of my own. I grew up with a border collie, 2 cats and a duck named Millie. I also used to sit for my friends dogs when they traveled before I got a dog of my own. I love animals and would love to walk and love yours. Since I have a Shihpoo of my own pet care for me is daily. She’s still a puppy, and I’ve been training her which I’m finding super rewarding. I walk my own pup 3-4 times a day. It was important that I got her house broken as quickly as possible. Now that she is 10 months she’s perfect at waiting to go outside to use the bathroom. My pup is very active and I understand pups that have a lot of energy on walks. I have my pup redirect her energy by bringing treats on our walks and having her perform several commands.

About: Ive always loved animals since I was a little girl. I had a dog when I was younger. She was a husky-samoyed mix; high energy and extremely loving! I currently have 2 cats - a British Shorthair and a Maine Coon! Any opportunity to spend more time with dogs or cats is a win! :) I have a remote job, so I have time before or after working hours, and even during the midday if you’re close to my location. Im protective with other peoples pets and am more than happy to make any accommodations that you feel would be necessary for a safe environment.
