“Emily was the best petsitter/housesitter I have ever had, and I have had a few. I have also done petsitting myself, so I know what is involved. She treated my animals like they were hers and kept us up to date while we were out of the country: a load off our minds. Our house looked exactly like we left it. Our dogs really bonded with her and before she left one jumped into her arms to say good-bye. Highly trustworthy and intelligent.”

“Alyssa took great care of Henri and Nyx while we were out of town. She played with Nyx and exercised her. She cleaned up messes that our pet made and left the house spotless. Nyx and Henri would like to have her come back another time. :)”

“Danika was an incredible sitter! She took amazing care of our five pets (three dogs and two cats) while we were traveling internationally. Two of our dogs are very shy rescues, and she was able to win them over with patience and kindness, which is no easy feat. We came home to all of the animals looking relaxed and clearly well cared for. Danika kept in touch throughout our trip with updates that gave us peace of mind. She even washed and changed our bedding so we could come home to fresh sheets after a 20-hour travel day. So thoughtful! We would absolutely book with Danika again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, compassionate sitter on Rover.”

“How can you put in words that you wanna trust somebody with something that is so important to you that your dog is like a child to you. Well right away when Jessica came to pick Rondo up I could tell that he was very relaxed with her and that she was a very caring person towards our very, very important fur baby. She was prompt and very communicative. Sent pictures of our baby while we were out on our excursion which helped her to relax us seeing him basically in his element.”

“Deb is awesome! I had an emergent last minute need for a Dogsitter, and she swooped in and saved the day! She was very communicative and reassuring. She explained her process and schedule thoroughly, and listened to mine, so expectations were very clear and agreed upon. She sent me lovely pics of my pup throughout her overnight stay. I’m really grateful to have found her!”

“Merran is AWESOME! Two of our three pups are quite shy with new people and they took to her so quickly for her short stay. We loved getting the photos and updates every day while away & felt great about being away for the first time in a while - thanks Merran!”

“Jacob was great! Our dog Lexi is usually skittish when first meeting a stranger but she loved Jacob from the start. We came home to a happy pup and a clean house. We highly recommend Jacob and will definitely use him again.”

“Lucy is great! She is super respectful, responsible, and easy to work with. She took excellent care of our large and active dog for 9 days with lots of dog walks, treats, and snuggles! She sent updates and pictures of our dog to set our minds at ease and left our home clean for our return. I will definitely book Lucy again if she is available! Thank you Lucy!”

“Angela did a great job with our house and dogs. She provided pictures and communication each day and we felt incredibly comfortable with her in our home. We will be using her again soon!”

About: I've been caring for animals as long as I can remember, from chickens to horses, to, of course, dogs! I grew up living near a lot of farmland, so I always had special respect for animals. Being away from home for my education, I miss my parents' dogs and cats a lot. I've spent a lot of time in Durango volunteering to take my friends' dogs to the dog park, on walks, etc. I'm excited to meet you and your pup! Over the summer, I'm working a part-time job that gives me a lot of free time! More likely than not, I'll have time to take care of your pets. I spend a lot of time pet sitting for friends, so I already spend a lot of time at the dog park and going for walks! The most important aspect of pet care for me is communication with owners. I like to have a good idea of what is best for your pet before I care for them, to make sure that the experience is best for everyone.

About: I grew up with cats (5 to be exact) and a dog. Since that time, I have lived with a dog for the past two year. I have been cat and dog sitting for three years in Durango and in my previous home in Salt Lake City. I love most animals and have a lot of patience and love! I work remotely 9-5 from Monday-Thursday, so I can be home with your pet all day! I can walk them before and after work, and let them out to use the bathroom anytime during the day. My only requirement is a quiet space to work and good internet. I will be patient and loving with your pet. I know it takes time for pets to warm up to new people. I am good at approaching animals slowly and calmly so that they feel safe with me!

“Michael was super communicative and took amazing care of my 65lb dog while I was away over a holiday weekend. Cooper can be reactive and worry when he is in the care of others, but Michael managed his anxiety like a dream! Would definitely use Michael again!”

About: I grew up with dogs of my own and have dog-sat for several friends and employers. I find dog-walking very meditative, and the personality of dogs can really come alive outdoors. I’m very attentive to energy levels, food/water intake, and of course, play time! I’m currently working part-time during the week but have my mornings and evenings open, as well as most weekends. I’m happy to chat more about what your pet care needs look like! Having my own cat, I always cat-proof my home to ensure that my cat is safe whether I am home or not. Before leaving the house, I always ensure my cat has enough food and fresh water. I would not only do this at your home, but I would also leave it better than I found it, treating your home as your sacred space that deserves respect, privacy, and cleanliness.

About: Dogs have been my constant companions throughout my life, and I've loved training and caring for them every step of the way. Currently volunteering with the La Plata County Humane Society has only deepened my commitment to animal welfare. Since I work from home, your pet will rarely be alone. I'll keep you connected with plenty of photos and updates, so you can enjoy your time away knowing your best friend is in loving hands. Since I work from home, your pet will rarely be alone. I do not have any hobbies or obligations that would take me away from them for more than a few hours. If your pet has any special needs, I am sure I can accommodate. I will care for your pets however you may wish! I love playing with dogs, taking them on walks or to the dog park, or simply lounging at home with them. If your pet has any special needs, I am sure I can accommodate.

About: I have taken care of all pets of shapes, sizes, and ages. Dogs, cats, chickens, guinea pigs, snakes, rabbits, peacocks, etc. I especially like to take care of older pets as they have a special place in my heart. I work part-time in the afternoons Monday-Friday so I am available in the mornings and evenings for routine breakfasts and dinners. I also live in walking distance to most homes. Which makes last minute help more accessible. Trust is the first thing I offer to all pets. We will have an initial meet and greet to get to know pets and see if it’s a match. I will be completely flexible to their routine as that’s imperative to a happy pet. I’m already always covered in cat hair so hugs and loving is a must.

“Emily watched my dog Walnut for two weeks while I was traveling. There's nobody I trust more to make sure he has the most reliable and loving care. She works a consistent schedule and spends lots of time out exploring the outdoors, which made her a great companion for my pup.
