“Kristine took such great care of our doggie. We got photos and detailed reports every day. The property was perfect for having a dog. Our piggy has a home when we travel.”

“Virginia was great as always with our three girls! Our oldest lab always gives us the cold shoulder when we pick her up from other sitters. It’s like she’s upset and punishing us for leaving her with someone else. This time, she was bouncing around and seemed so happy. Like she was saying “finally you found the right person to leave us with! I loved staying here!” So thank you so much Virginia and congrats on the new baby!”
About: I have taken care of a variety of animals, starting from a young age. My parents had a little farm and a love for Boxers, a very high energy breed. I have a preference for Great-Danes and other gentle giants, but I love all dogs! Our 1.5 acre backyard is fenced and ready for your pet to play, potty, and chill with our 8 year-old graying pup, Olympus. I walk my pet one mile everyday and often run another mile on my own since my dog is elderly and cannot run with me. Meals are twice, sometimes three times a day. I clean the floors, rugs, and all doggie blankets once a week to maintain a hygienic environment. I work from home so I am always around. I have a flexible schedule that can fit your pups needs. I can manage high-energy pups and dogs with separation anxiety. I have an insurance plan through Pet Care Insurance.
“Allena took very good care of our puppy! Great communication throughout, and many good photos. Now that we're home Tubbs seems so happy and contented, it's obvious he had a comfortable and lovely stay.”

“Jenny is an excellent caretaker! She and her sweet puppy are a perfect fit. Her attention to detail and care for all animals really comes through. We’ll definitely be seeing them again!”

“Couldn't have had a better experience. William sent messages and photos to make sure I knew The Dude was not just in good hands, but relaxed and having fun. Knowing Dude was well taken care of made my trip so much sweeter. Great communication. Great care. Great experience.”

“Darek was fantastic with my pup! She was a happy girl when I picked her up. On top of that, my trip ended up getting extended two extra days and Darek was so helpful and communicative during the whole process, it took a huge weight off of my shoulders as a pet parent! Definitely recommend him as a sitter and will be using him again!!”

I’m also new to this app and am happy to negotiate on prices! My schedule can revolve entirely around your pet! My only obligations are to take care of my own animals in the morning, evening, and midday. Which often is a quick routine and can be taken over by a loved one if necessary! I have an unfenced yard and hiking trail for walking dogs directly behind my apartment, I’m also close to a large field for stimulation if they need more activity and love going on hikes as well. “Thanks Tarah for Ranger’s visit. Sounds like he had a wonderful adventure filled visit. He was definitely tired but happy when we picked him up. We would love to have you watch him again!”

“Savannah was wonderful with Alice during her four-night stay! She communicated consistently, sent updates, and made me feel completely at ease while I was away. Most importantly, Alice absolutely loved her and came home happy and well cared for. I would definitely book with Savannah again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable sitter for their dog.”

“Ansley was awesome! She was very communicative and sent adorable pictures and updates of Luna throughout her stay, and took Luna to do lots of fun activities. Her dog was also great with Luna! I felt like Luna was in great hands while I was traveling. I will definitely plan to book with Ansley again.”

“Heather did such an amazing job with our dog, Bruno! It was such a relief to know that he was having so much fun and being so well cared for while we were gone. We were afraid that he wouldn't want to come back home! She also sent the most amazing pics of him for us to enjoy! Thank you so much! Bruno can't wait to stay again!”

“Was able to vacation worry-free. Puppy was happy healthy and well taken care of. Michaela is great with animals and I hope she will be watching my dog during any future trips. Have no reservations about leaving your dog with her.”

“We left our Brittany Spaniel, Rudy with Lori for 16 days - longer than we would like to be away from our baby, and although we missed him, we were never worried about him. Lori is great at communicating promptly and sending pictures. Her house is in a quiet forest setting, which worked well for our dog who likes peace and quiet. Highly recommend.”

“5+ stars. Ulli is still a pup and this was the first time I left him with a non-family member. Ulli had a blast and came back happy and healthy. Nichole sent lots of pics of him out enjoying Tahoe life. She even went above and beyond by giving him a brushing and organizing all of his things for pick-up. Really the best. HIGHLY recommend.”

“Devon took such great care of Maia for us and the bonus was that she had a new playmate to go on walks with in a beautiful area. She had the best time and we’ll definitely be back soon!!”

“Billie did amazing with Boo! They gave Boo a lot of pets and playtime, and they were great with communicating. I came home to a happy cat and a clean apartment!”

“Matt is amazing! We have a high energy cat and he worked really hard to make sure that he got the love and activity he needed during our time out of town. Will 100% rebook”

“Melanie was so great! She was super flexible when I had appointments at the house while I was away. She took very good care of my pup and was super responsive over messaging when the Rover Cards didn't work while I was traveling in areas without cell data. If I wasn't moving out of state, I would definitely rebook with Melanie in the future!”

“Deidra did a great job, especially considering that I gave her virtually no notice and that she had to work from notes left in a situation she had never seen. And when the cats didn’t fully cooperate with my scheme, Deidra adjusted her procedure while texting to me. Very reassuring to me on my emergency trip. Next time not so crazy a setup, but I’m sure just as satisfying a result.”

About: Most of the pets I have had in the past were cats and I’ve also cat-sat for friends of mine while they were out of town. I love all animals, but cats are definitely my specialty. If my current landlord would allow, I would have a cat of my own.
About: I have experience taking care of several types of dogs, cats and even a bird in the last 5 years. Every week, my work does a “Buddy Day” with the humane society where we have an adoptable dog come hangout with us for the day and then I bring them back at the end of the day. This has exposed me to so many different types and personalities of dogs! I’m also comfortable giving medication and taking care of pets that may be under the weather. I’m currently working full time during Tuesday-Saturday (7:30am-3pm) but am able to leave for lunch to check on or let your pet outside to potty or walk. I work and live in downtown Durango. I’m available daily in the evenings. The safety and well-being of your pet is my #1 priority. Making sure gates and locks are secure, proper leashes/harnesses are being used, following all the care instructions exactly and sending regular updates (if you’d like) to keep communication open are a few things I’ve found keep your pet safe and happy. In general, I just want to create an environment that your pet will thrive in.

“Elizabeth has watched my cats several times now. She is so considerate and always leaves the house and cats in great shape. I recently went on a trip and had to leave the cats for longer than I ever have before, which was probably more difficult for me than the cats but Elizabeth made sure I knew they were in great hands with cute pictures and updates every day. Please never move away, Elizabeth!”

“Kristina has been a godsend for my puppy and I. She and her husband have helped to train my puppy, socialize, and exercise her. She comes back happy and exhausted every time. Not only is my puppy cared for, but Kristina is reasonably priced, able to accommodate my wacky schedule, and conveniently located. I'm not someone who typically leaves reviews and I couldn't recommend these guys enough.”

“Ansley is the sweetest and best! She send me several photos throughout the day and I could tell Simba was having a blast and made new friends. I would definitely recommend and will use Ansley’s care again in the future. :)”

“Matt took great care of our dog Hazel! He took her for a couple of walks throughout the day and played with her in his yard too. Matt also provided pics and updates for us. His dog Maya is very sweet, Hazel settled in right away and we were very comfortable leaving her in his care.”

“We were passing through on a road trip and stopping to do the train ride and needed a place for our pup to hang for the day, and Virginia’s place was perfect! She was kind and professional and we were grateful for the love she showed our pup.”

“We dropped our fur baby off while we went to the Durango train for the day! The whole family was welcoming and we felt so comfortable leaving Kobe with them. Gave us several updates and I know our dog had fun playing with theirs! Thank you for an amazing first-timer Rover experience!”

About: I’ve been a pet owner for nearly 30 years — from growing up with our family’s Border Collies and house cats, to raising my own Jack Russells throughout adulthood, to caring for two rescue kittens in college. I’m equally comfortable with dogs and cats of all personalities and needs. What sets me apart is the range of care I’ve provided. I’ve raised a Jack Russell puppy from the wild, zoomie-filled stage into a well-behaved, confident adult, so I’m patient, consistent, and great with puppies who need structure and gentle training. I’ve also cared for a 17-year-old senior dog during his end-of-life stage, which taught me how to support pets who need slower routines, medication, and close, intuitive attention. I fostered an entire litter of puppies and their mom from an overcrowded shelter, so I’m familiar with round-the-clock care, monitoring, and meeting shy or sensitive animals where they are. Between that and my own lifelong pet experience, I’ve worked with animals at every life stage and energy level. I’m single with plenty of free time, which means your pets get steady attention, affection, and a calm, reliable presence while you’re away. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because of the flexibility I have in my career. I’m a real estate agent with a team beneath me, which means I create my own schedule and have other agents I can rely on if I’m ever occupied. That gives me plenty of space in my days for walks, check-ins, playtime, and consistent attention. I’ve actually considered getting another dog over the last couple of years, but I haven’t felt ready for the full-time commitment again. A friend suggested I join Rover as a way to support other pet owners in the community while still getting to pour my love, energy, and care into animals — and it’s the perfect fit. Your pets get someone who’s genuinely excited to spend time with them and has the availability to be fully present. I’m very affectionate and hands-on with the pets I care for — they get plenty of attention, playtime, and companionship. I genuinely love walking, so having a dog join me on my daily walks is the best part of my routine. Whether it’s a neighborhood stroll, a peaceful loop along the River Trail, or a fun outing to the Smelter dog park, I make sure pets get the activity and stimulation they need. When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their routines closely so everything feels familiar and comforting. I’m attentive to feeding schedules, potty breaks, behavior changes, and whatever little rituals make each pet feel at ease. My goal is always to create a safe, loving, and engaging experience — whether they’re with me for a few hours or a few days.
“Becca was great! Will definitely be using her next time we are in town. Our dog was able to play with hers and relax outside throughout the day. He did not want to leave his new friend when we picked him up. Would 100% recommend!”

About: I have had dogs in my life since I was a child and have adopted 2 rescue puppies here in Durango. I have looked after friends and my parents' dogs as needed. Daily dog walks - I take our 2 dogs on hikes/walks every day, so your furry friends will fit right in! Personalized attention – I only take one client at a time (up to 2 dogs from same client) and our household is semi-retired so your dog(s) will never be left alone. Safe, fenced yard for off leash play. Convenient in town location. I know firsthand how hard it can be to find sitters you truly trust. I live in town in Durango and have noticed that there are very few local sitters who take dogs on walks. That’s exactly what I'm offering - a comfortable home environment with walks, a yard and no crates. My home is located right in town, with a secure fenced in yard where dogs can run, play, and relax. No long drives out of the way — just easy drop offs and peace of mind. I have two friendly dogs who love to play, we are all very active and will take your pup on regular daily hikes. Whether your pup loves chasing toys or lounging in the sun, they’ll have company and enrichment here. I built this service around what we ourselves struggled to find in Durango: sitters who combine excellent care (daily walks) with in-town convenience. Your pup will be treated like family, with space to play and friends to bond with.
About: I am every pups favorite Auntie because I am patient, very loving, and well trained with different breeds, personalities and age ranges. I have experience working with rescue dogs as well as therapy dogs. I am a very active person and love an excuse to get outside and walk, hike, play as much as possible. I have a natural sense as to what the animals are feeling and capable of. I find the company of animals to be significant and always enjoyable. I will most definitely love and take care of your dog with undivided attention as if it is my own. If there's anything you practice at home with your pet, I will certainly help to enforce any rules, training, habits, you wish to maintain.
“We were so happy to have found Jenny. My dog Freya and her pup Luna had a blast playing, napping and hanging out at Jenny's place. Jenny was responsive, communicative, and accommodating. Freya can't wait for her next doggie daycare or overnight! We highly recommend Jenny (and Luna) :-)”

About: I have been working with animals since I was a child! I grew up on a farm with horses and our trusty yellow Labradors, learning from an early age the true meaning of taking care of others. I love providing dogs the happiest experience - I find such joy when playing, running, skiing, or hiking with dogs and seeing the BIG smile on their faces! Any pups that stay with me, my husband, and our goofy dog, Miles, will have a fantastic time, as well as guaranteed adventure (as appropriate!). When your pup stays with us, he/she will never be left alone and will be treated as one of our own. Having fur-babies of our own, I understand the importance of knowing that your pup is well taken care of according to his/her needs. We hope to see you soon! I work full-time from home with a flexible schedule. Considering this, your pup will never be left alone and enjoy our company (and snuggles) 24/7. I have a flexible schedule and will update my calendar weekly as needed regarding my availability. Our home is located in Rafter J on three acres, ~10 minutes from downtown Durango. We have one dog named Miles, a seven-year-old Weimaraner who has a goober personality and LOVES to play with other dogs.

About: I’ve taken care of a variety of animals in my life, including cats and dogs. Because of my experience, I’m familiar with the many different scenarios that can come up during pet care. I’m currently unemployed and providing full time services. This means I can work around you or your pets schedule and house/pet sit for hours or days at a time if needed. Frequent potty breaks and walks are also no problem for me. I’m very attentive to animal needs and can recognize different types of body language very quickly. These includes signs of aggression, anxiety, hunger, needing to go out, etc. and I can respond appropriately and in a timely manner.
About: I've been around animals my whole life and have so much love and respect for them. I grew up with mostly dogs and a few cats. I dedicate ample time to making sure furry friends stay happy, healthy, and well cared for. Your pet's safety is my number one priority. I believe that every animal deserves loving care, so I cautiously work to make sure each animal's specific needs are met.

I love being outdoors so we usually go on fun adventures if your pet enjoys that! I’m a calm, easy going, trusting and friendly individual who will take fantastic care of your pooch! Let me know how I can help you! I’m currently working part time and usually have an open schedule so I have plenty of time to play/walk or feed your pups or cats! I can do drop in visits or can take your pet on long walks in my neighborhood or yours. I currently live in a place that doesn’t allow animals but I am happy to go visit your pups or cat so they can be in their environment :)
About: Household pets have been a part of my life since childhood, and I have cared for pets of my own, primarily cats and dogs, throughout my adult life as well. My partner and I have two dogs of our own that we adopted from the LPC Humane Society and they are our fur babies. I know from personal experience what it's like to need assurance that your pet is being well cared for and in good hands, and I'm happy to give you that same peace of mind. I currently work from home full time and have a fairly flexible schedule that I can adapt on a weekly basis depending on what's on my calendar. I typically am most easily available morning, mid-day, and evenings for drop-ins or walks. I have two dogs of my own currently and I have been a pet owner for most of my adult life, primarily caring for cats and dogs. I'm plenty familiar with the routines of pet care and understand that your pets will have their own unique care needs and personality quirks. I'm happy to take your pup on a walk and I'm familiar with many of the good trails in town.

About: I grew up with a household full of dogs, and have taken several animal care-taking positions in the past ten years. I have been walking dogs with another dog-walking app, and have also looked after pets in the neighborhood and for friends and family. I love to walk and be outside, and I am willing to jog with extra energetic pups! Small and medium-sized dogs are my favorite, but I am willing to take care of dogs of all sizes as well as other species. I am usually available to hang with your pup most of the day, and will take them on adventures when appropriate. Right now I work from home so I am very flexible! I usually leave to go running and do errands, but I am usually never gone for more than a few hours. I will follow your pet's usual routine to the best of my ability, and will also do my best to take care of your home.

About: I’ve taken care of almost all kinds of animals since I was very young and I adore all pets and understand the necessity of pet sitters. I have done foster care for puppies, kittens, and special care senior animals alike. I’m a quick learner and dedicated to the absolute best for your pet. I’m also new to this app and am happy to negotiate on prices! My schedule can revolve entirely around your pet! I’m currently on summer break from my online college degree and am able to work flexibly depending on your needs. I have 2 very friendly spayed female dogs and a spayed female cat, all of which love other animals. I have a crates for either my own animals or yours in a safe space. Pets are allowed on furniture and bed in my apartment.
