About: Hello! My name is Sav and I loveee animals. Im still getting to know the town of Durango while I’m in school for wildlife biology so I'm trying to make some extra money. I was a dog walker for my previous client for 2 years and 5 days a week and I have many references. I also have experience in housesitting, dog sitting, raising puppies etc. I have a beautiful dog named Fera who is amazing with kids, babies, cats, and everything except squirrels. I look forward to meeting your family with paws!!🫶🐾🐾 I’m currently in school, so my schedule is everywhere and very open. Text me and we can work out what’s best for you and me! I have 7 acres of land in the back of my apartments that is basically a fenced dog park with a pond. My place is extremely pet friendly and far from busy roads. :)

About: I’ve had pets my whole life, so becoming a dog and cat sitter was a given. From senior snoozers to zoomy puppies, from ‘don’t touch me’ cats to ‘please love me immediately’ cats, I’ve handled it all and loved every second. I’m currently in school at Fort Lewis. I have a few classes scattered throughout the day. My busiest day right now will be Tuesdays with back to back classes from 8-2:30. If watching pets in your home, I will ask for a list of expectations (feed times, concerns) so I can do the best job. I will be diligent about updating you, sending photos, and asking questions if they arise.

About: I’ve been around dogs and cats since birth! My dad was a k-9 cop so I’ve been around all kinds of dogs. I love cats too and my cats are my babies!!! I am looking for sitting closer to the downtown Durango area or Home Depot area. I teach preschool in town so I would love to be able to spend quality time with your pets in the mornings before work and in the evenings and weekends after work. I would prefer to be at a client’s home. I live far out of town so it would be more convenient for me to follow the instructions of the client.

About: Does your dog need a vacation from their everyday life while you’re on vacation? I’m Tarah. I have a 9 year old boxer mix Mack and 4 year old Tabby cat Juniper. We live an active lifestyle while having a full time job. Your dog will enjoy all the finer things in dog life such as Running, skiing, hiking in the mountains, swimming and paddle boarding . Your pup will get to enjoy the great outdoors and after spoiled with lots of treats and fluffy blanket snuggles. I currently work 8 hour shifts at the hospital. I come home during lunch to let my dog out to walk. She also gets to run, ski , or hike before or after work or both. I live in a cottage have a fenced in yard. Pets have access to the yard all day. There’s plenty of dog and cat toys to play with!

About: Hi! My name is Jake. I grew up in a house full of pets and have taken care of them for as long as I can remember. I work full time at Fort Lewis, so I am completely available after 4 pm Monday through Friday with an hour during the day for walk breaks. During the weekend I can be fully available. I am available for any type of house sitting! Whether it be a quick midday walk or week-long stay, I am there to keep your pets comfortable in their home environment, on their schedule.

About: My passion for animal care started when I was young, helping care for an Alaskan dog mushing team and their puppies. From there I transitioned into drop in and overnight stays, caring for pets of friends and family (fish, birds, guinea pigs, cats, dogs, horses,). I have years of experience staying at homes and taking care of animals for extended periods of time. I have provided newborn kitten care for long durations, I have helped save husky puppies born during Alaskan winters, and I have helped I have taken care of a 19+ yr blind and deaf senior cat, making sure she was comfortable and loved until her time came to pass during her owners travels. My care has come to encompass many different types of animals, and I regularly animal sit horses, goats, and chickens for my Rover clients as well! I grew up with dogs and I currently have three cats of my own. I know what it takes to keep your animals safe, happy, and healthy. I treat animals with respect and kindness! I currently work part time as a dance teacher and would love to spend time with your animals! I truly take pride in the time and attention I give the animals work with, this is never "just another job" for me. I travel occasionally with work but it is not unexpected and will not interfere with my abilities to give my full attention to your pet(s). I always come to our meet and greet with my schedule in hand to discuss any potential time conflicts with your pet's routine. I take this seriously! My prices reflect the attention I will give your companions. I treat each pet as my own whether I am dog walking, dropping in, or staying the night. This includes snuggles, toy time, long walks, and making sure your pet is happy and healthy while you are away. I always make sure to keep an eye on your pet at all times, especially if outside time is needed. I understand that each pet is different, so I make sure to pay close attention to each owners wishes and each individual pets needs. I am careful and detail oriented!

About: I'm 29 years old and have had a dog for as long as I can remember. I grew up with multiple Golden Retrievers and Australian Shepherds and love all breeds of dogs. I'm currently an ER nurse at mission hospital and miss having fur babies around. I'd love to take your dog on a walk to destress from my own job and also to get outside. I am available! I haven’t started my job yet so I’m super flexible and available to care for your pet needs and am excited to care for them. I unfortunately cannot care for pets inside my own home due to the fact that I have a cat. I am a responsible, reliable, and experienced dog and cat owner and will ensure your pet gets love.

About: I grew up with dogs and cats my whole life and love meeting new furry friends. I trained my family’s dog how to sit, stay, lay down, roll-over, shake and come and love taking care of friends’ dogs when they go out of town. I’m working fully remote in a job with flexible hours, so I will have plenty of time to take care of all the animals. I love taking walks every couple of hours to break up the workday and would love to share those walks with friendly doggos. I have no animals at home. I live in a pet friendly building and will always respect your home and belongings when visiting your animals at your home.

About: I have always had at least 1 dog in my home and cared for many of my neighbor’s/friend’s/family member’s pets. In the course of that care I have administered medication, raised puppies, taken care of up to 5 dogs at one time, cared for elderly pets, helped pets with disabilities, and overall taken care of all the extra work that comes with being a pet caregiver. I have yet to meet a pet that I didn’t love. I have been my children’s stay-at-home parent for the last 9 years, so I have a great deal of experience as a caretaker in general and I have raised them to always be kind and respectful to all animals. I am available for walks or drop-ins: Sunday-Wednesday before 2pm, Thursday & Friday all day, and Saturday after 3pm. I can also swing by after work at about 11:30p if needed and close to town. I have a fenced yard with 2 friendly dogs and 2 kids(8&9 years old who will not come in contact without your expressed permission and would never be left alone with them), I will care for your pets and house as attentively and lovingly as I care for my own home and pets. I am a home owner with two kids in a local school, so I am deeply rooted in Durango. I care deeply for pets and prefer their company over the company of most people. I am working on getting certified in pet first aid, but I currently have an app that can be used as a quick guide with videos in an emergency that was put out by the Red Cross.

About: I have had dogs and cats my whole life and wish I could have more of my own! I treat them like family. I am an RN so am happy to give medications and treatments as needed. I also hike or run each day and am happy to take bigger more active dogs as needed. I have my own dog named Judy. She is a 3 year old GSP who gets along with all dogs and loves playing and going for runs and hikes! I am willing to negotiate prices for different things so let me know what you have in mind! About: I grew up with dogs of my own and have dog-sat for several friends and employers. I find dog-walking very meditative, and the personality of dogs can really come alive outdoors. I’m very attentive to energy levels, food/water intake, and of course, play time! I work full time Sunday-Thursday until 3pm. I’m available for drop-in visits and dog walks in the evenings and Fri/Sat. I’m happy to chat more about what your pet care needs look like! Having my own cat, I always cat-proof my home to ensure that my cat is safe whether I am home or not. Before leaving the house, I always ensure my cat has enough food and fresh water. I would not only do this at your home, but I would also leave it better than I found it, treating your home as your sacred space that deserves respect, privacy, and cleanliness.

About: Have taken care of dogs and cats my whole life! Never had a year without living with dogs, cats, and the many other lovely creatures I have as pets. I’m all about getting outside with animals and having fun! I’m currently a F+B manager working nights and have Sunday and Mondays off. Every morning, 6am -12pm, open for any adventure and/or pet care. Love taking care of senior dogs and running with high energy pups. I have no fence around my yard and keep all dogs on a leash or tether when outside and always accompanied when outside. I live right on the Animas River and love to walk my pets down.
