About: I have a little furry cat of my own and have a lot of experience pet sitting for friends, acquaintances, and clients over the years. Some of my experience also comes from volunteering at the humane society and wildlife refuge in the past. My fiancé, Nick, occasionally assists with house sits so your pets get extra attention and company. I’ll always communicate beforehand if he’ll be joining, and if that’s not preferred, no worries at all! I’ll treat your pet as if they were my own. I work from home on a 4x10 schedule, with many breaks throughout the day. Having a flexible schedule and longer weekends makes it easy for me to care for pets. Your pet's comfort is my top priority. In your home, I provide personalized care, adhering to their routine, and ensuring a stress-free environment. This includes regular feeding, walks, and playtime!
About: I have experience taking care of several types of dogs, cats and even a bird in the last 5 years. Every week, my work does a “Buddy Day” with the humane society where we have an adoptable dog come hangout with us for the day and then I bring them back at the end of the day. This has exposed me to so many different types and personalities of dogs! I’m also comfortable giving medication and taking care of pets that may be under the weather. I’m currently working full time during Tuesday-Saturday (7:30am-3pm) but am able to leave for lunch to check on or let your pet outside to potty or walk. I work and live in downtown Durango. I’m available daily in the evenings. The safety and well-being of your pet is my #1 priority. Making sure gates and locks are secure, proper leashes/harnesses are being used, following all the care instructions exactly and sending regular updates (if you’d like) to keep communication open are a few things I’ve found keep your pet safe and happy. In general, I just want to create an environment that your pet will thrive in.
“Melanie was so great! She was super flexible when I had appointments at the house while I was away. She took very good care of my pup and was super responsive over messaging when the Rover Cards didn't work while I was traveling in areas without cell data. If I wasn't moving out of state, I would definitely rebook with Melanie in the future!”

“John took great care of our cat, Meatball. He was very accommodating to a weird drop-in schedule and communicated often. Although we were across the world (literally), it did not feel as if we were that far away due to his updates and chats. Thanks, John!”

About: I been around dogs my whole life until moving out here for school. I love to play and run with them but am also experienced with older dogs. I will always give them my full attention. My weekends and Tuesdays are completely open. I will have school between 11 and 4 every Monday and Wednesday. Thursday I have school 11 to 1 pm and Friday I have school 11 to 1:30. I live in a house with some friends that all love dogs. There is plenty of space in the living room or my room to make your dog comfortable. Whenever I’m at your house or walking the dog, they have my full attention to anything needed.

“I needed a last minute cat sitter and Deidra was great! Great communicator, she stayed the full 30 minutes and was able to give my cat some love along with feeding him. Thanks Deidra!”

About: I’ve been around dogs and cats since birth! My dad was a k-9 cop so I’ve been around all kinds of dogs. I love cats too and my cats are my babies!!! I am looking for sitting closer to the downtown Durango area or Home Depot area. I teach preschool in town so I would love to be able to spend quality time with your pets in the mornings before work and in the evenings and weekends after work. I would prefer to be at a client’s home. I live far out of town so it would be more convenient for me to follow the instructions of the client.
About: Hello fellow dog lovers! With over 20 years of experience owning and caring for dogs, I understand the deep bond between humans and their furry companions. Although I cannot host pets in my rental, I’d love to take your dog for a walk or house sit where they feel most comfortable- your home! I work from home, which allows me the flexibility to provide care both during and outside of regular business hours. Whether it’s a midday walk, evening playtime or weekend adventure, I’m here to ensure your dog receives the attention, love and exercise they deserve. If you book me for pet sitting in your home, you can feel at ease knowing that I will respect your space and make it a goal of mine to leave your space as clean as you left it. Let’s connect and discuss how I can offer your dog the right care and attention to make you feel comfortable when you can’t be with them. I look forward to meeting you and your pups! I work from home and have a fairly flexible schedule! I can provide pet services within or outside of regular business hours- let’s discuss your pets needs and I can likely fit them in to my schedule, no problem! I love clients who offer detailed lists of their pets needs and daily routines! I used to do the same with my dog and know that following something like this gives everyone involved (dogs included!) ease of mind.
“Merran did a great time taking care of Ollie while we were away. I really appreciated that she took notes when we met, sent pics, and went above and beyond in taking care of our girl. Highly recommend!”

Durango cat parents share their Rover experiences
Deanne was so wonderful! She spent such good quality time with our kitty while we were gone and sent us updates everyday. She followed all the instructions to the letter and was super easy to communicate with. We will definitely use Deanne again when she’s available!

Brooke was really awesome with our two cats! She went above and beyond and spent extra time with them. We loved receiving pictures of them each time she did a drop in and we felt that our cats were really loved and cared for while we were gone. She even helped out with taking our trash out! It was obvious that she put a ton of effort into bonding with our cats. We have a really shy cat who never lets anyone but us pet her, and Brooke was petting her within a few days! She was great at communicating and I would strongly recommend Brooke for anyone needing pet care. We felt relaxed and confident that our cats were safe and happy the whole time we were away.
