About: I have had pets ever since I can remember. Throughout my life, I have had people trust and rely on me to watch their animals. I am a river guide, and fellow guides often need other people to watch their dogs while they are on the river. I am peoples first go-to-dog watcher. I am currently rehabbing from an injury and do not have work. I am very flexible; I have plenty of time to give animals the care they need. I have a yard for pets. I live right by the river trail. It is perfect for walks. I also live right across a park that is great for fetch and games throughout the day.

About: Growing up, my family did not allow pets in the home. I defied that rule! I adopted my first dog in 2001 and have rescued dogs since then. Dogs are just the best! I have worked for Wag! so I'm moving over to Rover to expand my client base. I have experience with special need dogs as well as senior dogs. I am currently working from home full time. I’m also a home body so your pets will always have company! I’m also okay with car rides as my back seat is equipped with a cover and seatbelt. I live out in the country by Elmore’s corner. This property is spacious and also has a fence for the pups to run in. The pups are allowed on the furniture and the bed. My CavaPoo is super sweet and yearns to make friends with all dogs.

I built this service around what we ourselves struggled to find in Durango: sitters who combine excellent care (daily walks) with in-town convenience. Your pup will be treated like family, with space to play and friends to bond with.

About: I’m a stay at home mom with two young boys and a friendly pup in need of some playmates. Between the house and the trails we spend lots of time in dog-friendly environments and are excited to show love to some sweet doggos. Between outdoor excursions with the kids, much of our time is spent at home. On the weekends our family will be getting outside as much as possible and always love the company of extra pups. Throughout the last 8 years, I have been trusted by friends, family, and other references to take care of their fur babies while they were out of town. I truly enjoy being a pack leader and would love to treat your precious child with the most attention and praise. With my current schedule, I have the flexibility to work remotely, which means I can be physically present with your dog throughout the entire visit. Together, we can go for leisurely walks, indulge in plenty of belly rubs, and spend quality time in their preferred surroundings. My utmost priority is to ensure that your dog feels completely at ease while you are away. When it comes to house sitting, I approach the task with utmost respect for your environment, treating it as if it were my own. Maintaining cleanliness on a daily basis is ingrained in my regular routine, ensuring that everything remains in order. As for dog walking, I believe in establishing a strong connection with the dog before embarking on our journey together. Taking the time to understand their unique personality and needs is crucial to building trust. About: I’ve been a pet owner for nearly 30 years — from growing up with our family’s Border Collies and house cats, to raising my own Jack Russells throughout adulthood, to caring for two rescue kittens in college. I’m equally comfortable with dogs and cats of all personalities and needs. What sets me apart is the range of care I’ve provided. I’ve raised a Jack Russell puppy from the wild, zoomie-filled stage into a well-behaved, confident adult, so I’m patient, consistent, and great with puppies who need structure and gentle training. I’ve also cared for a 17-year-old senior dog during his end-of-life stage, which taught me how to support pets who need slower routines, medication, and close, intuitive attention. I fostered an entire litter of puppies and their mom from an overcrowded shelter, so I’m familiar with round-the-clock care, monitoring, and meeting shy or sensitive animals where they are. Between that and my own lifelong pet experience, I’ve worked with animals at every life stage and energy level. I’m single with plenty of free time, which means your pets get steady attention, affection, and a calm, reliable presence while you’re away. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because of the flexibility I have in my career. I’m a real estate agent with a team beneath me, which means I create my own schedule and have other agents I can rely on if I’m ever occupied. That gives me plenty of space in my days for walks, check-ins, playtime, and consistent attention. I’ve actually considered getting another dog over the last couple of years, but I haven’t felt ready for the full-time commitment again. A friend suggested I join Rover as a way to support other pet owners in the community while still getting to pour my love, energy, and care into animals — and it’s the perfect fit. Your pets get someone who’s genuinely excited to spend time with them and has the availability to be fully present. I’m very affectionate and hands-on with the pets I care for — they get plenty of attention, playtime, and companionship. I genuinely love walking, so having a dog join me on my daily walks is the best part of my routine. Whether it’s a neighborhood stroll, a peaceful loop along the River Trail, or a fun outing to the Smelter dog park, I make sure pets get the activity and stimulation they need. When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their routines closely so everything feels familiar and comforting. I’m attentive to feeding schedules, potty breaks, behavior changes, and whatever little rituals make each pet feel at ease. My goal is always to create a safe, loving, and engaging experience — whether they’re with me for a few hours or a few days.
