Hi there! I’m a former vet tech with a degree in Veterinary Science, and I recently made Durango my home after moving here from Rhode Island three years ago. These days, I work as a local tour guide — which means I know all the best trails and dog-friendly spots around town! I recently said goodbye to my sweet 17-year-old dog, and I’m hoping to fill that dog-shaped space in my life by spending more time with animals again. I have years of hands-on experience caring for pets of all ages and temperaments, and I understand the importance of trust, patience, and lots of love when it comes to your furry family members. Whether you need someone to stop by for a walk, stay overnight, or keep your pup company for the day, I’d love to help.

We had an amazing experience with Nastasiya and Kyle! They took excellent care of Toby, and treated him like their own! They even took him on a hike and dog park! Very communicative and friendly! If we are visiting in Durango again we will definitely go to them again!

Schedule
My schedule varies depending on tour bookings, but I’m generally free most of the day. That flexibility makes it easy for me to fit in walks, check-ins, or even full days of pet sitting around town.

I care for pets the same way I cared for my own — with patience, love, and attention to their unique needs. With my background as a vet tech, I’m comfortable caring for animals of all ages and personalities, including those who might need medications or a little extra support. When I’m in a client’s home, I follow your pet’s regular routine to keep them happy and relaxed — feeding, walks, playtime, and snuggles all included! If your pet stays with me, I have a fully fenced in yard in downtown Durango where they can safely play and get plenty of fresh air. My home is calm, cozy, and perfect for dogs who enjoy companionship and outdoor time between walks.

A typical day
A typical day for me includes plenty of outdoor time! I live in downtown Durango and love hiking about four miles a day — usually along the River Trail or up on the Rim Trail, depending on the season. I’d love to have a furry friend join me for those adventures! When we’re not out exploring, I’m a big fan of a good game of fetch (it’s basically my favorite sport). I also used to help with puppy training at my local shelter, so if you’d like me to include a little training practice during our time together, I’m happy to do that too. Most days, my schedule is wide open — I only give short 90-minute tours in the evenings — so your pet will get plenty of attention, activity, and care throughout the day.

- It’s important for me to know a few things ahead of time so I can make sure your pet has the best experience possible! Please let me know how your dog does around other dogs, whether they have any leash reactivity, and if there are any medical needs or medications to be aware of. I also love hearing about their favorite games, routines, and any fun quirks that make them who they are — those little details help me make them feel right at home!
