About: My name is Mel! I am an orthopedics PA. I recently relocated to Durango, and doing some Rover while I wait for my hospital credentials to come through. While I work with humans, I definitely love animals more. I've taken care of pets since I was a young kid. I grew up with dogs, cats, rabbits, and more. I have two middle-aged dogs and one young cat. I know human medicine so that comes in handy with pets sometimes! I am currently not working while I wait for my hospital credentials to come through! So my schedule is very open, weekdays and weekends alike. I will treat your pets as my own. I adore all animals and I love to get them to warm up to me, be relaxed, and play!

About: I’ve taken care of almost all kinds of animals since I was very young and I adore all pets and understand the necessity of pet sitters. I have done foster care for puppies, kittens, and special care senior animals alike. I’m a quick learner and dedicated to the absolute best for your pet. I’m also new to this app and am happy to negotiate on prices! My schedule can revolve entirely around your pet! I’m currently on summer break from my online college degree and am able to work flexibly depending on your needs. My only obligations are to take care of my own animals in the morning, evening, and midday. Which often is a quick routine and can be taken over by a loved one if necessary! I have an unfenced yard and hiking trail for walking dogs directly behind my apartment, I’m also close to a large field for stimulation if they need more activity and love going on hikes as well. I have 2 very friendly spayed female dogs and a spayed female cat, all of which love other animals. I have a crates for either my own animals or yours in a safe space. Pets are allowed on furniture and bed in my apartment.

About: I’ve taken care of a variety of animals in my life, including cats and dogs. Because of my experience, I’m familiar with the many different scenarios that can come up during pet care. I’m currently unemployed and providing full time services. This means I can work around you or your pets schedule and house/pet sit for hours or days at a time if needed. Frequent potty breaks and walks are also no problem for me. I’m very attentive to animal needs and can recognize different types of body language very quickly. These includes signs of aggression, anxiety, hunger, needing to go out, etc. and I can respond appropriately and in a timely manner.

About: I have experience taking care of several types of dogs, cats and even a bird in the last 5 years. Every week, my work does a “Buddy Day” with the humane society where we have an adoptable dog come hangout with us for the day and then I bring them back at the end of the day. This has exposed me to so many different types and personalities of dogs! I’m also comfortable giving medication and taking care of pets that may be under the weather. I’m currently working full time during Tuesday-Saturday (7:30am-3pm) but am able to leave for lunch to check on or let your pet outside to potty or walk. I work and live in downtown Durango. I’m available daily in the evenings. The safety and well-being of your pet is my #1 priority. Making sure gates and locks are secure, proper leashes/harnesses are being used, following all the care instructions exactly and sending regular updates (if you’d like) to keep communication open are a few things I’ve found keep your pet safe and happy. In general, I just want to create an environment that your pet will thrive in.

About: I have a senior pup back home, we rescued her years ago and now she’s living her best life all spoiled with seasonal bananas. I have another 4 year german shepherd who’s high functioning and interactive, I love taking him to the dog park and out for pup-cups. I have lots of free time between classes to check on/walk your puppies! If your pups need more supervision I’d be happy to stay at the house between classes to keep your pets company. Your pet would always be in my sight when we’re outside, and I’d follow your instructions for them inside. I clean up after myself and I pack my own snacks.

About: Raised on a farm in rural Texas, I grew up surrounded by dogs and animals of all types. I understand that pets are family, and I treat every dog I watch with the same care and attention I give my own! About: Household pets have been a part of my life since childhood, and I have cared for pets of my own, primarily cats and dogs, throughout my adult life as well. My partner and I have two dogs of our own that we adopted from the LPC Humane Society and they are our fur babies. I know from personal experience what it's like to need assurance that your pet is being well cared for and in good hands, and I'm happy to give you that same peace of mind. I currently work from home full time and have a fairly flexible schedule that I can adapt on a weekly basis depending on what's on my calendar. I typically am most easily available morning, mid-day, and evenings for drop-ins or walks. I have two dogs of my own currently and I have been a pet owner for most of my adult life, primarily caring for cats and dogs. I'm plenty familiar with the routines of pet care and understand that your pets will have their own unique care needs and personality quirks. I'm happy to take your pup on a walk and I'm familiar with many of the good trails in town.

About: I grew up with a household full of dogs, and have taken several animal care-taking positions in the past ten years. I have been walking dogs with another dog-walking app, and have also looked after pets in the neighborhood and for friends and family. I love to walk and be outside, and I am willing to jog with extra energetic pups! Small and medium-sized dogs are my favorite, but I am willing to take care of dogs of all sizes as well as other species. I am usually available to hang with your pup most of the day, and will take them on adventures when appropriate. Right now I work from home so I am very flexible! I usually leave to go running and do errands, but I am usually never gone for more than a few hours. I will follow your pet's usual routine to the best of my ability, and will also do my best to take care of your home.

About: I’ve been pet sitting for family and friends for 2 years. I care deeply about quality pet care. I live an active lifestyle and make sure dogs are exercised and entertain! I treat each pet as my own I’m a part time student with lots of free time to dedicate to pets. Mornings, afternoon and nights I have availability. I’m open to all types of breeds. Dogs will have a safe environment to explore in my home. I treat clients homes with respect, just as I would want someone coming into my home.
