“Cassie has been a huge help to our family for the last few months. She is very responsive and professional in her communication. My dog is very selective when it comes to accepting humans and Cassie has become one of her favorite humans. I think this is due to Cassie’s attention and receptivity to my dog’s cues and personality. I hired Cassie for help walking my dog during the last month of my second pregnancy and postpartum period. She quickly became a warm and welcome presence in our household and routine. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her or say anything but great things about her!”

About: I've been caring for animals as long as I can remember, from chickens to horses, to, of course, dogs! I grew up living near a lot of farmland, so I always had special respect for animals. Being away from home for my education, I miss my parents' dogs and cats a lot. I've spent a lot of time in Durango volunteering to take my friends' dogs to the dog park, on walks, etc. I'm excited to meet you and your pup! Over the summer, I'm working a part-time job that gives me a lot of free time! More likely than not, I'll have time to take care of your pets. I spend a lot of time pet sitting for friends, so I already spend a lot of time at the dog park and going for walks! The most important aspect of pet care for me is communication with owners. I like to have a good idea of what is best for your pet before I care for them, to make sure that the experience is best for everyone.

“Angela did such a great job with my pup Roo! I address a few special concerns I had with my pup and she was very attentive and did such a wonderful job easing my mind knowing he was in good hands. He is a big strong pup and decided to engage in a “tug of war” during his walk with his leash and Anglea was strong enough to claim victory! Roo plays tig of war when he is super excited so I know Anglea is someone I can trust again to take care of him !”

“Ayden was great! She was very flexible and handled my dog well. When he had a small injury, she let me know right away. She also was able to give him injection medication. When my dog stopped cooperating, she let me know and we figured out how best to handle the situation from there, without danger to her or my dog.”

About: I had many pets growing up, but I don't currently have any of my own. I love animals and so, for many years, I have filled the pet void by taking care of my friends animals as needed. For 2-6 weeks at a time on some occasions. Its great to know that I'm giving people peace of mind when they are away from their pets. My friends know that their dogs are getting spoiled with outdoor adventures and cuddles on the couch. You shouldn't have to worry about your furry friends when you leave town. Going for a dog walk easily becomes the best part of my day, and so offering my service to folks beyond my immediate friend group seems like a really enjoyable way for me to make some extra cash. I work from home full time, Monday through Friday, and I have a very flexible day-to-day schedule that allows me to provide constant supervision and take frequent breaks throughout the day for sun, exercise, playing and pets. I have a working vehicle that is dog friendly. I am happy to go to the dog park and explore hiking trails, but I also live on a farm and the property is fully fenced in. I have experience taking care of dogs that have recently had surgery and require carrying up/down stairs and lifting in/out of the car, have needed meds both orally and via injection, elderly dogs that need frequent trips outside, and high anxiety dogs that need close contact and attention and don't do well with other animal interactions. I am happy to meet individual pet needs based on health, personality, etc...

Let me know anything you need, I’m very flexible! I give lots of attention and love too ❤️ My job is flexible so I am able to accommodate whenever you need me for your pet. I love to run and be outdoors so pets that need walking will have a great time! I love to spend time, play with your pet, and make sure they are occupied while you are gone. My cat personally gets very lonely when I’m away and I appreciate a sitter who plays with her. I make that a priority!

About: offering service of house sitting and staying with your pet. I have grown up with a dog(s) all my life, ever since I was a young child. I have a passion for dogs and am excited to help you out! I am used to walking my medium sized dog at my family's home and continue to help my friends and family out when they need walks/sitting for their dogs. I have trained my dog to shake, sit, and wait for treats - because it's a lot of fun! :) I truly love dogs and all animals and hope to help you out on your dog walking, dog sitting, and other services if needed. I fostered a cat in my apartment last year, so I also am good with cats! Usually awake by 6:30/7AM. I work as a server in the evenings for 4 hour shifts. Able to watch and let out dogs throughout the day and stay at your home if preferred. I ensure each pet has been fed, let outside, and walked or activities each day. I make sure they are comfortable with me, and if they like to cuddle, I love to cuddle with them too!

About: Owner of Betty White, an 8 yr old res dog. I've doggysat multiple dogs and exercising them on walks esp on trail. I like to walk them in the am before the heat sets in. I'm pretty available M-F outside of kid dropoff (7-830am and pickup 3-4pm). Weekends are hit or miss depending on recreation. I'm downtown so within a 10 min drive is preferable. I only care for pets in my home if they're vetted with toddlers. Most of my work will be checkins and walks. Our dog doesn't bark so having a barking dog would startle the kids.

About: I have had a cockapoo in the family for 5 years and a yorkshire terrier for 2 years. I have also taken care of my grandfather's Iditarod dog team in Alaska. I can walk dogs Friday-Sunday while I have off from my full time job. If you need weekday care I might be able to accommodate after 6pm. I am primarily looking to walk dogs or do home visits. I can take care of your pets in your home and take them on walks or any other needs the pet has.

“Hope was great! Friendly and prompt. Would book her again.”

About: I’ve grown up around dogs, and I have been able to spend lots of time with furry friends!! I definitely love animals more than people. My mom has boarded dogs for years, so I have learned to feed, walk and take care of pets. I worked at a doggie/cat daycare and boarding place for a year and a half as a supervisor, and I learned a lot with that experience. I love hiking and going for walks, and I love hanging out with furry friends! I am currently in school, and do not have a job. I have plenty of time to hang out with your pets and I am able to stop by often. I will make sure the dog is fed, and gets outside when needed. If the dog needs to be in a crate, I will put them in a crate. If the dog needs a harness for walking I will absolutely use it.

About: Love taking care of furry friends- I’m a reliable pet sitter and dogwalker and very grateful to have always had neighbors with pets to care for! Open to long or short-term sitting, and dog running for active pups. Happy to help with medicine or other treatments for older pups’ needs. Flexible schedule, let’s chat! Mornings and evenings during the week are best, and can be available for boarding on weekends as well. Depends on what’s easiest for yall. I have a dog friendly home within a few blocks of city parks and trail systems, no other pets currently live in the house. We have a dog door and a small fenced-in side yard.

About: Hi, my name is Danielle, I am 24 years old and have lived in the area for about 6 years. My pet experience includes the little family dogs we had ever since I was 4 years old. I have helped raise, train, exercise, etc. many dogs of different breeds and sizes. I have house sit both dogs and cats for neighbors and friends. Just this past year I have rescued my own pit bull, Jax, and he quickly became the best decision I’ve ever made. I also recently spent some time in North Carolina where I often walked dogs for extra cash. I’m always walking around and exploring anyways so I might as well bring the furry friends with me so we can enjoy this beautiful town together!

Brigid H.
“Brigid is an absolutely amazing dog sitter! It's nice knowing it's like my pup is enjoying himself on vacation while he stays with Brigid. She's great at getting him out and about on walks or at the dog park. And she's always provided plenty of photos and updates throughout his stays. She loves and cares for your pet like her own. Honestly, the only problem is that your dog might end up liking her more than it likes you... but all jokes aside, Brigid is 100% my go-to if I ever need to leave my dog behind.”

Patricia S.
“This girl goes the extra mile to make our furry friends feel happy, at home, healthy and entertained!! The care and energy she puts into making sure me and Baxter are both at ease and on the same page is top notch. Patty is a homerun!”

“Alyson is highly qualified to work as a caregiver for dogs. Not only has Alyson grown up with dogs in her family and has experience with many breeds, but she also has a very fun-loving, active, and outgoing personality that dogs love. I trust my own dog with Alyson and often have her take care of him when I am away. I know many other people trust Alyson with their dogs as well. Alyson will provide the basic needs for dogs as well as go above and beyond and give them extra love and attention. Alyson is a great fit for Rover and I'd be happy to provide even more information as needed!”

lee m.
“As a fellow Rover Sitter I would be thrilled to have Lee care for my pet anytime! Lee is responsible and pays great attention to detail. Lee loves animals and treats them with respect and kindness at all times. Lee will definitely have open and honest communication with all of his pet parents and make setting up walks or sits a breeze. Dogs who get to walk with Lee are going to have a blast and be exceptionally well cared for in the process.”

Mark P.
“When my son Mark and I went to the village of Shishmaref, Alaska one summer, he spent his whole two weeks caring for my dad's 12 Iditarod Alaskan sled dogs. It was during the summer when they were tied up. He walked the dogs every day and trained his nieces and nephews on how to care for them. He fed, watered, and walked them around the village one at a time getting know their personalities. Pretty soon they became his best friend! During the summer everyone is busy subsisting for food so this was a great help to my family. My dad running the Iditarod 11 times and came in second in 1980 carries down our strong connection and how to care them. Everyone one of us own a dog!”
