Dog Walking Hesperus

About: I’ve had pets my whole life, so becoming a dog and cat sitter was a given. From senior snoozers to zoomy puppies, from ‘don’t touch me’ cats to ‘please love me immediately’ cats, I’ve handled it all and loved every second. I’m currently in school at Fort Lewis. I have a few classes scattered throughout the day. My busiest day right now will be Tuesdays with back to back classes from 8-2:30. If watching pets in your home, I will ask for a list of expectations (feed times, concerns) so I can do the best job. I will be diligent about updating you, sending photos, and asking questions if they arise.

About: I’ve cared for many different dogs for years. From friends to family, I like to spend time with dogs in their own environment to get them comfortable without their owner and with me. I’ll play with their toys, know their favorite spaces and habits, etc. I treat every pet like they’re my own—paying close attention to their routines, personalities, and little quirks so they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away I’m a full time college student at the University of Denver, but home in Durango for the summer. I can do boarding any day and am flexible with my schedule. I focus on keeping pets comfortable by sticking as closely as possible to their normal routine. In a client’s home, I follow all feeding schedules, walk routines, and any specific care instructions, including medications if needed. I make sure pets get plenty of attention, playtime, and affection, while also respecting their space if they’re more shy or independent.

About: I have a senior pup back home, we rescued her years ago and now she’s living her best life all spoiled with seasonal bananas. I have another 4 year german shepherd who’s high functioning and interactive, I love taking him to the dog park and out for pup-cups. I have lots of free time between classes to check on/walk your puppies! If your pups need more supervision I’d be happy to stay at the house between classes to keep your pets company. Your pet would always be in my sight when we’re outside, and I’d follow your instructions for them inside. I clean up after myself and I pack my own snacks.

About: I work at Willow Tree Kennel in Durango and have learned a lot about dog body language and social interactions. We focus primarily on accommodating to each individual dog’s needs and I would do the same for your dog that you entrust in my care. I have great attention to detail and have a good eye for anything that might be out of the ordinary for dog health. I actively research and gain more knowledge on dog interactions and am accustomed to working with reactive dogs or bite risks that take more time and going slower. I am comfortable working with puppies, antisocial dogs, reactive dogs, and dogs that require a slower movement due to bite risk. Additionally, I’m working to become a dog trainer someday and am researching for that as well so your doggie and I can have a fun interactive relationship! My goal is to help fix any issues you may have while walking your dog and also make sure your dog is comfortable with me and their interactions on their walk! I have attached photos to my profile of some of the fun doggie experience I’ve had! A side note is that I have had my own dog and trained her various tricks for fun :) I also have experience in horse care with abused horses and am overall comfortable with all animals and behaviors within reason! I can fit a walk into any of my days but am going to school. I can do house/pet sitting but not overnight stays and am working full time. I can’t board at my home, but in a clients home I would follow the instructions given and make sure to give their pet plenty of attention and care! I have great attention to detail and would make sure nothing went awry with your home or your pets :)

About: I’ve had animals my whole life. I have always loved animals and my freinds, neighbors, and family always ask me to care for their furry loved ones! I’m currently working only a couple shifts a month at my other job, so I can be reliable and flexible with many different schedules to fit your needs! In my clients home I will be sure the pets have the food/water their owners desire, and I would love to play and run the energy out of your pets during the day while your at work!

About: I’ve been around dogs since I was 5 years old and have experience caring for dogs of different sizes, personalities, and energy levels. I’m comfortable feeding, walking, playing with, and giving pets lots of attention and affection. Since I’m home most of the day, your pet will have constant supervision, care, and companionship. I understand how important pets are to families, and I’ll treat your dog like my own while making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I currently have an open schedule, which allows me to give pets lots of attention throughout the day. I’m available for walks, drop-ins, daycare, and overnight care, and I can stay flexible with different routines and needs. Your pet won’t ever be left alone for long periods and will get plenty of playtime, supervision, and care. I have an 8-month-old female dog and a cat in my home, so I’m very used to caring for animals daily and making sure they stay safe, comfortable, and happy. Your animals can play with mine and I always supervise interactions between pets and pay attention to their behavior to keep the environment calm and stress-free. I follow owners’ instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, routines, and any special care needs, to help every pet feel secure and well cared for.

About: I grew up with two cats, two dogs, a lizard, and a bunny. I love animals and understand they need care just like we humans do. I have spent time fostering puppies and would love to foster kittens on day. I have a big heart and am interested meeting animals, and making sure people know their animals are in good hands. I just finished a trail work season and have a lot of time on my hands. I would love to help people out and watch their animals! I will be substitute teaching this school year with availability to walk dogs during the day and after school! My landlord does not allow pets in the home. I would love to care for your pets in your home, whether that’s stopping in several times a day or staying over night for however long! I am very clean, respectful, and trustworthy. I grew up pet sitting in Chicago and would also water people’s gardens, grocery shop for them before they got back from vacation, and tidy up their home upon request!

About: I have a big heart for all animals. I’m kind and patient and enjoy playing with dogs and cats and even sitting on the couch snugging up to them. I’ve had a cat that was diabetic, had small dogs and cats that I’ve kept till they past away and now have 6 Frenchies and 2 bigger dogs and cats and a lot more animals I’ve taken care of at my moms house and have a kitten and puppy of my own now. I work for the city of Durango and I have Fridays and weekends off and I would love to spend that time walking dogs and would help me get out of the house. P.s if you schedule for a dog walk Monday through Thursday it will have to be AFTER 5pm, thank you! I am always watching and listening to make sure there not in anything and I have a little camera in my kitchen so I can watch the animals and make sure there okay while I’m at work or running errands.

About: I’ve grown up around dogs and currently have two of my own—a 5-year-old black lab and a 4-year-old German shepherd—so I’m very used to daily care like feeding, walks, and playtime. While I don’t have formal sitting experience, I’m comfortable with different dog personalities and routines. I love being outdoors, so your dog will get plenty of walks and attention. I also work shorter hours, which gives me a flexible schedule and more time to focus on your pet. I’m patient, reliable, and treat every dog like my own. Pet care fits easily into my routine since I already care for my own two dogs every day. I work shorter hours (about 32 hours a week), so I have a good amount of flexibility. I’m available Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, and can plan my day around walks, visits, and spending quality time with your pet. I care for pets by sticking as close as possible to their normal routine so they feel comfortable and stress-free. That includes feeding on schedule, regular walks, playtime, and making sure they get plenty of attention. In a client’s home, I’m respectful of their space and follow any specific instructions they leave, whether that’s routines, medications, or preferences. I also make sure pets get lots of love and updates while you’re away. At home, I provide a safe, calm environment with plenty of supervision, exercise, and time outside. Since I already have two dogs, I’m used to managing multiple pets and making sure everyone is comfortable and getting along.

About: Working with pets is something I truly love. I grew up on a farm with countless cats, cows, pigs, and horses, where I think that love started. Since, I’ve volunteered for an animal shelter, cared for other’s pets (housesitting, walking, drop in visits), and had my own doggo for thirteen years, and recently adopted a sweet family dog. Under my care, you can trust that your pet will be safe and happy. At the moment, pet care is my main priority! I haven’t any major responsibilities competing with it, so I can dedicate a great deal of time and love into pet care. I’d love to make a schedule where I can take your dog on long walks/hikes and cuddle, or give your kitty lots of love throughout the day! When I care for a pet, I take that responsibly very seriously. I follow instructions closely and give the cat and/or dog all the love and pets! About: I’ve had pets since I was a kid. I love animals and caring for them. I am patient and understanding of individual pets wants and needs. I am a traveling physical therapist. I recently lost my furry friend, so I enjoy getting to sit and spend time with other animals. I work four days, but off three days a week. I get time during the day to come and let your furry friends out to play as much as possible! I have a fenced in yard, I am home all day, and there are no children or other pets in the home. We have plenty of toys and doggie beds!
