“Angela is a delight to work with - she made a great connection with my young dog and her communication was excellent. Her "report card" from the walk was comprehensive - and fun! Would hire again in a heartbeat - it's no wonder she has so many loyal clients - thanks Angela!”

About: Raised on a farm in rural Texas, I grew up surrounded by dogs and animals of all types. I understand that pets are family, and I treat every dog I watch with the same care and attention I give my own! I look forward to meeting your furry friend! My full-time job allows me the flexibility to check on your pup within your desired timeframe. I am happy to accommodate your pet’s unique schedule! I love to go for daily walks with my dog, Oliver, and would be happy to provide your dog similar opportunities for activity and stimulation!
“Michelle has been so valuable training up our new foster pup on leash. Our lab has also settled in so well with her! we are reaping so many benefits since Michelle has added another physical component for them that we can no longer do. Highly Recommend josie n tim”

“Sara is by far the best pet walker out there! She is responsible, kind, and extremely trustworthy. She is also an expert on walking dogs - truly! I have two big dogs (one is 135lbs and the other is 70lbs) who are a bit leash reactive after deer/cats. I typically never walk them together because they are so strong. Sara brought over her harnesses and was able to get them to walk by her side and have them ignore distractions - AMAZING! She sent me lots of videos, pictures, and updates. I asked her if she would be open to teaching me her tricks and she was more than willing. I would recommend her to anyone and any dog! Do not hesitate to book her!”

About: I have always been into taking care of dogs. Either it being my parents dogs, siblings dog, friends dogs, or anybody in need.. I have always been interested. With being a second year college student, I am really just looking to make sure dogs get the love and treatment they need! I thankfully have a job where I am able to run around quite a bit to make sure everything is in order. I can stop in throughout the day, give walks during the evening, stay over night, etc. I am lucky enough to typically accommodate most needs! I always make sure the dog is in the best environment it can be! I love making sure that the dog is always well exercised, so that when it is back home it can just relax for the rest of the day!
About: Hi! My name is Jake. I grew up in a house full of pets and have taken care of them for as long as I can remember. I work full time at Fort Lewis, so I am completely available after 4 pm Monday through Friday with an hour during the day for walk breaks. During the weekend I can be fully available. I am available for any type of house sitting! Whether it be a quick midday walk or week-long stay, I am there to keep your pets comfortable in their home environment, on their schedule.
About: I’ve been around dogs since I was 5 years old and have experience caring for dogs of different sizes, personalities, and energy levels. I’m comfortable feeding, walking, playing with, and giving pets lots of attention and affection. Since I’m home most of the day, your pet will have constant supervision, care, and companionship. I understand how important pets are to families, and I’ll treat your dog like my own while making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I currently have an open schedule, which allows me to give pets lots of attention throughout the day. I’m available for walks, drop-ins, daycare, and overnight care, and I can stay flexible with different routines and needs. Your pet won’t ever be left alone for long periods and will get plenty of playtime, supervision, and care. I have an 8-month-old female dog and a cat in my home, so I’m very used to caring for animals daily and making sure they stay safe, comfortable, and happy. Your animals can play with mine and I always supervise interactions between pets and pay attention to their behavior to keep the environment calm and stress-free. I follow owners’ instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, routines, and any special care needs, to help every pet feel secure and well cared for.
About: If your dog needs more exercise than a typical walk, you’ve found the right place. I’m an active dog owner who runs 4–8 miles most days with my friendly German Shepherd, and we love bringing a well-behaved adventure buddy along. These are not short neighborhood walks — they’re 1–2 hour trail hikes or runs designed for dogs who thrive on movement and outdoor exploration. Because these outings are active and often on trails, I’m selective about the dogs I take so everyone stays safe and has fun. Ideal dogs for these adventures: • Friendly with other dogs, people, and trail traffic • Comfortable around bikes and other runners • Have reliable recall and good listening skills • Enjoy long hikes or runs and have the stamina for it I usually take one client dog per outing, and they’ll join me and my German Shepherd for a trail run or hike. Depending on the season, we may explore local trails or head up north for cooler mountain hikes. Either way, your dog will come home happy, exercised, and tired in the best way. I know how hard it can be for busy humans to keep up with high-energy dogs — especially larger or working breeds that need serious movement to stay happy and balanced. My goal is to help give them the exercise, enrichment, and adventure they crave. After every outing, I’ll return your pup safe, satisfied, and with paws cleaned up. Perfect for local dogs who need extra exercise, but I’m also happy to help visiting dogs if you can confirm they have strong recall and reliable trail manners. Send a message and let’s see if your pup would enjoy joining our adventures! 🐕🦺 I spend most of my time at home working on my laptop, which means I’m always around to keep an eye on the dogs in my care. I already have a dog of my own, so outdoor time, exercise, and plenty of attention are naturally part of my daily routine. Whether it’s a break for a run, some playtime in the yard, or cuddles during downtime, your dog will be treated like part of the family. Pet care fits seamlessly into my schedule, ensuring your pup gets the love and care they deserve! In my home, your dog will be treated like part of the family. With my own friendly and playful dog to keep them company, your pup will have a built-in buddy for fun and companionship. I provide constant supervision since I work from home, ensuring their needs are always met. Whether they prefer snuggling up in bed with me or resting in a crate, I’ll follow their routine to make them as comfortable as possible. Their happiness, safety, and comfort are my top priorities!
About: Hi there! I’m originally from Germany, but I’ve been living in America for the past seven years. Dogs have been a part of my life since I was born, and I’ve always had a special bond with them. Currently, I’m the proud Momma of a lively 5-year-old male boxer—a true play and walking enthusiast! He’s not just my pet; he’s my adventure buddy, and we explore the great outdoors together. What I Offer: Playtime: I believe that every dog deserves some tail-wagging fun! Whether it’s fetch, tug-of-war, or a game of hide-and-seek, count me in. Your furry friend will have a blast! Walks and Hikes: Fresh air, scenic trails, and wagging tails—what more could a dog ask for? I love hiking, and I’d be thrilled to take your dog along on our outdoor escapades. Tailored Care: Every dog is unique, and I’m here to cater to their individual needs. Let me know what your furry companion requires, and I’ll make sure they feel loved and well-cared-for. Get in Touch: Have specific requests or questions? Reach out, and let’s chat! Whether it’s belly rubs, dietary preferences, or favorite toys, I’m all ears. Your dog’s happiness is my priority. Looking forward to meeting your adorable furball! I‘m free and love to spend my time outside. Walks and hikes are my daily routine. I’m putting an individual plan together based on your dogs breed, personality and age. Secure Environment: I’ll check doors, gates, and fences to prevent any accidental escapes. Safety is my top priority! Trust and Comfort: I’ll let your pet set the pace. Whether it’s a shy cat or an exuberant dog, trust is built through patience and kindness. Consistent Communication: I’ll talk to your pet, reassuring them with familiar words. They’ll know they’re in caring hands.
About: Hi! I'm Allie, and I'd love the opportunity to care for your pets while you're away. As a dog owner myself, I know how much our pets mean to us and how important it is to find someone you can trust. I treat every pet like they're part of the family and always strive to make them feel safe, loved, and comfortable. I have my own dog, so I'm very familiar with the daily routines, exercise, patience, and attention that go into keeping pets happy and healthy. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playing fetch, belly rubs, or simply relaxing with company, I'm happy to provide the care they need. I'm dependable, communicative, and will keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands. I'm comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes and personalities, and I take the time to learn each pet's routine, preferences, and any special needs they may have. My goal is to make your time away as stress-free as possible—for both you and your pet. I can't wait to meet your furry family member and give them the love, attention, and care they deserve! During the week I work in an office downtown full time. I have a flexible work schedule if i need to make a lunch stop! Otherwise available before and after work and on the weekends! I make sure the home stays tidy and clean so pets don't get into anything they shouldn't. If i'm just taking them on walks, I make sure to know how they interact with other dogs and animals. Having a dog myself, it's ideal for me to watch your dog at my house that has a huge fenced in yard if your dog is friendly with other dogs. But i am flexible to stay at your place as well!
“Nichole was amazing! She walked our 12 week golden retriever during last weekends snow storm. Nichole was quick to respond to our inquiry, willing to make an extra visit to meet us, and so dependable. We are very grateful and hope to see her again on our next visit.”
About: I've been caring for animals as long as I can remember, from chickens to horses, to, of course, dogs! I grew up living near a lot of farmland, so I always had special respect for animals. Being away from home for my education, I miss my parents' dogs and cats a lot. I've spent a lot of time in Durango volunteering to take my friends' dogs to the dog park, on walks, etc. I'm excited to meet you and your pup! Over the summer, I'm working a part-time job that gives me a lot of free time! More likely than not, I'll have time to take care of your pets. I spend a lot of time pet sitting for friends, so I already spend a lot of time at the dog park and going for walks! The most important aspect of pet care for me is communication with owners. I like to have a good idea of what is best for your pet before I care for them, to make sure that the experience is best for everyone.
“Ana was an outstanding walker for Remy. She took great care to introduce herself and showed us how she would walk him during her walks. She was extremely transparent in her communication with us as well as when she picked up and dropped off Remy. We will defiantly employ her services again when the situation arrises.”
“Christopher has been great on walks with my very hyper German shepherd. She's always worn out after their walk/jogs together and loves the attention. Can't recommend him enough.”

About: Hi, my name is Danielle, I am 24 years old and have lived in the area for about 6 years. My pet experience includes the little family dogs we had ever since I was 4 years old. I have helped raise, train, exercise, etc. many dogs of different breeds and sizes. I have house sit both dogs and cats for neighbors and friends. Just this past year I have rescued my own pit bull, Jax, and he quickly became the best decision I’ve ever made. I also recently spent some time in North Carolina where I often walked dogs for extra cash. I’m always walking around and exploring anyways so I might as well bring the furry friends with me so we can enjoy this beautiful town together!
About: I approach pet sitting in a professional mindset. I’m calm, caring, and clean. 1. Daily picture updates and communication. - For house sitting I vacuum the floors, clean the kitchen and all sinks, and wash any fabrics that are used during the stay to ensure your home is well cared for. Every pet is treated equally with care. -Drop in visits- 1-2 daily visits available. I’m respectful of your home/neighbors while visiting. I carefully follow feeding instructions and bathroom needs. Picture updates ensured as well as bathroom updates available. I brush and show kind affection to your pets. They will be treated as royalty. 2. My history: I grew up and lived on a 100 Acre horse farm most of my life. We always had dogs, cats, horses, and even chickens/rabbits. I’m confident with any size pet. For 5 years I solo managed my families farm after a parent passing. On the farm we also have 3 rental houses that I was land-lording and performing maintenance. I am confident with taking care of your home and treating it with respect. I was taught to care for the land and homes. While you are away, I’m good with communicating and letting you know how your loved ones are doing. I love taking dogs for walks and can do playtime with cats. I have pet sit for many different families, big dogs, cats, lizards, fish, and birds. I take pride in being hard working, caring, honest, and helpful. I have 100% repeat customers. -I currently have pet sitting insurance; if I have to take anyone to the vet we can be reimbursed. I added home insurance too incase something breaks during a stay. -I also completed a dog first aid course. Thank you, Matt I am available full time for pet sitting. I can feed/walk 2 times a day for drop ins or 2-4 times for house sitting. I am happy to give your pets company while you are away. I provide multiple updates throughout the day with pictures and videos. I can take them on their favorite walks and let them get lots of outside time. I also enjoy brushing their coats while showing them love and attention. I’m happy to help out! I’m careful when entering a home, being sure to close any doors/gates. I follow all feeding directions carefully. When walking, I’m careful with the leash and don’t let them get close to other pets. I also pick up anything after the pet. I also remove my shoes before entering the house and clean up everything from my visits. I stay on the walks for as long as the necessary to give them time to do multiple bathroom breaks. I try to help your pets to feel calm and loved. Your pets and home will be well cared for.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
