Trixie is so much happier venturing outside with Michelle. Trixie was very traumatized her first year looking for a home. We tried 3 dog sitters but Michelle had the lab touch she was looking for. we love our rescued pups AND getting date time again!

About: If your dog needs more exercise than a typical walk, you’ve found the right place. I’m an active dog owner who runs 4–8 miles most days with my friendly German Shepherd, and we love bringing a well-behaved adventure buddy along. These are not short neighborhood walks — they’re 1–2 hour trail hikes or runs designed for dogs who thrive on movement and outdoor exploration. Because these outings are active and often on trails, I’m selective about the dogs I take so everyone stays safe and has fun. Ideal dogs for these adventures: • Friendly with other dogs, people, and trail traffic • Comfortable around bikes and other runners • Have reliable recall and good listening skills • Enjoy long hikes or runs and have the stamina for it I usually take one client dog per outing, and they’ll join me and my German Shepherd for a trail run or hike. Depending on the season, we may explore local trails or head up north for cooler mountain hikes. Either way, your dog will come home happy, exercised, and tired in the best way. I know how hard it can be for busy humans to keep up with high-energy dogs — especially larger or working breeds that need serious movement to stay happy and balanced. My goal is to help give them the exercise, enrichment, and adventure they crave. After every outing, I’ll return your pup safe, satisfied, and with paws cleaned up. Perfect for local dogs who need extra exercise, but I’m also happy to help visiting dogs if you can confirm they have strong recall and reliable trail manners. Send a message and let’s see if your pup would enjoy joining our adventures! 🐕‍🦺 I spend most of my time at home working on my laptop, which means I’m always around to keep an eye on the dogs in my care. I already have a dog of my own, so outdoor time, exercise, and plenty of attention are naturally part of my daily routine. Whether it’s a break for a run, some playtime in the yard, or cuddles during downtime, your dog will be treated like part of the family. Pet care fits seamlessly into my schedule, ensuring your pup gets the love and care they deserve! In my home, your dog will be treated like part of the family. With my own friendly and playful dog to keep them company, your pup will have a built-in buddy for fun and companionship. I provide constant supervision since I work from home, ensuring their needs are always met. Whether they prefer snuggling up in bed with me or resting in a crate, I’ll follow their routine to make them as comfortable as possible. Their happiness, safety, and comfort are my top priorities!

About: I approach pet sitting in a professional mindset. I’m calm, caring, and clean. 1. Daily picture updates and communication. - For house sitting I vacuum the floors, clean the kitchen and all sinks, and wash any fabrics that are used during the stay to ensure your home is well cared for. Your home will be all clean and ready for your arrival. I can also include details about your pets pees and poops if you would like. Every pet is treated equally with care. -Drop in visits- 1-2 daily visits available. I’m respectful of your home/neighbors while visiting. I carefully follow feeding instructions and bathroom needs. Picture updates ensured as well as bathroom updates available. I brush and show kind affection to your pets. They will be treated as royalty. 2. My history: I grew up and lived on a 100 Acre horse farm most of my life. We always had dogs, cats, horses, and even chickens/rabbits. I’m confident with any size pet. For 5 years I solo managed my families farm after a parent passing. On the farm we also have 3 rental houses that I was land-lording and performing maintenance. I am confident with taking care of your home and treating it with respect. I was taught to care for the land and homes. While you are away, I’m good with communicating and letting you know how your loved ones are doing. I love taking dogs for walks and can do playtime with cats. I have pet sit for many different families, big dogs, cats, lizards, fish, and birds. I take pride in being hard working, caring, honest, and helpful. I have 100% repeat customers. -I currently have pet sitting insurance; if I have to take anyone to the vet we can be reimbursed. I added home insurance too incase something breaks during a stay. -I also completed a dog first aid course. Thank you, Matt I am available full time for pet sitting. I can feed/walk 2 times a day for drop ins or 2-4 times for house sitting. I am happy to give your pets company while you are away. I provide multiple updates throughout the day with pictures and videos. I can take them on their favorite walks and let them get lots of outside time. I also enjoy brushing their coats while showing them love and attention. I’m happy to help out! I’m careful when entering a home, being sure to close any doors/gates. I follow all feeding directions carefully. When walking, I’m careful with the leash and don’t let them get close to other pets. I also pick up anything after the pet. I also remove my shoes before entering the house and clean up everything from my visits. I stay on the walks for as long as the necessary to give them time to do multiple bathroom breaks. I try to help your pets to feel calm and loved. Your pets and home will be well cared for.

About: I’ve been around dogs since I was 5 years old and have experience caring for dogs of different sizes, personalities, and energy levels. I’m comfortable feeding, walking, playing with, and giving pets lots of attention and affection. Since I’m home most of the day, your pet will have constant supervision, care, and companionship. I understand how important pets are to families, and I’ll treat your dog like my own while making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I currently have an open schedule, which allows me to give pets lots of attention throughout the day. I’m available for walks, drop-ins, daycare, and overnight care, and I can stay flexible with different routines and needs. Your pet won’t ever be left alone for long periods and will get plenty of playtime, supervision, and care. I have an 8-month-old female dog and a cat in my home, so I’m very used to caring for animals daily and making sure they stay safe, comfortable, and happy. Your animals can play with mine and I always supervise interactions between pets and pay attention to their behavior to keep the environment calm and stress-free. About: I’ve worked at a couple of veterinary clinics as a receptionist and also helped with kennel care, which gave me valuable experience handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I’m comfortable reading dog behavior, keeping them calm in new environments, and making sure they feel safe and cared for. I understand how important it is to follow routines, give attention to detail, and treat every pet with patience and love. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or quiet companionship, I’ll make sure your dog feels right at home. I’m currently balancing a part-time job and my own business, so my schedule can vary week to week. I’ll always be clear about my availability in advance and do my best to accommodate your pet’s needs. Reliability and communication are really important to me, and I make sure each pet I care for gets the time and attention they deserve. I provide care in your home so your pet can stay in a familiar, comfortable environment. I always follow your instructions closely — from feeding schedules and walks to any routines or quirks that help your pet feel secure. I take extra care to keep doors and gates locked, make sure water bowls stay full, and give plenty of love and attention while you’re away. My goal is to help your pet feel safe, relaxed, and cared for until you’re back home.

About: I’ve taken care of almost all kinds of animals since I was very young and I adore all pets and understand the necessity of pet sitters. I have done foster care for puppies, kittens, and special care senior animals alike. I’m a quick learner and dedicated to the absolute best for your pet. I’m also new to this app and am happy to negotiate on prices! My schedule can revolve entirely around your pet! I’m currently on summer break from my online college degree and am able to work flexibly depending on your needs. My only obligations are to take care of my own animals in the morning, evening, and midday. Which often is a quick routine and can be taken over by a loved one if necessary! I have an unfenced yard and hiking trail for walking dogs directly behind my apartment, I’m also close to a large field for stimulation if they need more activity and love going on hikes as well. I have 2 very friendly spayed female dogs and a spayed female cat, all of which love other animals. I have a crates for either my own animals or yours in a safe space. Pets are allowed on furniture and bed in my apartment.

About: Hi, my name is Danielle, I am 24 years old and have lived in the area for about 6 years. My pet experience includes the little family dogs we had ever since I was 4 years old. I have helped raise, train, exercise, etc. many dogs of different breeds and sizes. I have house sit both dogs and cats for neighbors and friends. Just this past year I have rescued my own pit bull, Jax, and he quickly became the best decision I’ve ever made. I also recently spent some time in North Carolina where I often walked dogs for extra cash. I’m always walking around and exploring anyways so I might as well bring the furry friends with me so we can enjoy this beautiful town together!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
