About: I have taken care of a variety of animals, starting from a young age. My parents had a little farm and a love for Boxers, a very high energy breed. I have a preference for Great-Danes and other gentle giants, but I love all dogs! Our 1.5 acre backyard is fenced and ready for your pet to play, potty, and chill with our 8 year-old graying pup, Olympus. I walk my pet twice a day, once in the morning, once in the evening, before and after the hottest part of the day. Meals are twice, sometimes three times a day. I clean the floors, rugs, and all doggie blankets once a week to maintain a hygienic environment. I work from home so I am always around. I have a flexible schedule that can fit your pups needs. I can manage high-energy pups, I have air conditioning, and I have an insurance plan through Pet Care Insurance.
“Jacob and his boys did an amazing job dog-sitting Tesla overnight! She was happy, well cared for, and clearly felt comfortable with the family. In fact, she didn’t even want to leave when we came to pick her up! It’s obvious he genuinely loves and cares for dogs. I would absolutely trust him with Tesla again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter.”

About: I’ve worked professionally with dogs for over 20 years providing pet care and dog training, holding multiple dog training certifications with the leading organizations in the country (KPA-CTP, CPDT-KA, CTC). I offer limited-capacity boarding in my home on a quiet 3-acre property near the Durango Airport. Keeping my group small allows me to provide personalized care, enrichment, exercise, and plenty of downtime. Whether your dog loves activity or prefers a quieter environment, I tailor their stay to help them feel safe, comfortable, and at home. Every boarding stay includes: • Complimentary pickup and drop-off within the Durango, Bayfield, and Ignacio areas • Regular photo and video updates • A bath before your dog goes home • Care from an experienced professional who understands canine behavior My goal is simple: to provide a safe, comfortable stay for your dog and peace of mind for you. Because I keep my boarding group small, availability is limited. Reserve your dog’s spot early by scheduling a meet and greet. Reach out today to book your dog’s stay! Pet care is my full-time profession, and I tailor each day to fit the needs of the dogs in my care. Because I keep my boarding group small, every dog receives personalized attention, enrichment, exercise, and plenty of downtime. Dogs spend their days enjoying a balance of outdoor time, supervised play, walks, enrichment activities, and relaxation indoors. I pay close attention to each dog’s personality, preferences, and comfort level so I can provide a safe, low-stress experience while you’re away. My goal is for your dog to feel at home, and for you to have peace of mind knowing they are receiving attentive, professional care throughout their stay. Safety is my top priority. As a professional dog trainer, I carefully manage introductions, supervise interactions, and pay close attention to each dog’s body language and comfort level. My home features a large securely fenced yard for outdoor time, play, and potty breaks. Dogs stay in the home as part of the family and have access to rest areas, quiet spaces, and appropriately sized kennels when needed for meals, bedtime, or individual downtime as needed. I keep my boarding group small so I can give each dog the attention and management they need. Dogs are never forced to interact and always have opportunities for rest, quiet time, and personal space. My goal is to provide a safe, comfortable environment where every dog can relax and enjoy their stay.
“Thanks Tarah for Ranger’s visit. Sounds like he had a wonderful adventure filled visit. He was definitely tired but happy when we picked him up. We would love to have you watch him again!”

“Savannah was wonderful with Alice during her four-night stay! She communicated consistently, sent updates, and made me feel completely at ease while I was away. Most importantly, Alice absolutely loved her and came home happy and well cared for. I would definitely book with Savannah again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable sitter for their dog.”

“Virginia had been one of the best dog sitters we’ve had. She came through in a pinch when we had a last minute cancellation from the person who was going to watch our senior dog. Virginia sent updates and made sure our little gal was well taken care of. She’s got a great setup for dogs with plenty of indoor and outdoor space. We will definitely use her again in the future!”
“Lori was phenomenal! She was incredibly communicative, flexible, and clearly wonderful with our pup. We were attending a festival outside of Durango and wanted someone who would be a good fit for our semi-anxious dog, and Lori exceeded our expectations. Because we were driving several hours from home, coordinating drop-off and pick-up times could have been stressful, but Lori was so accommodating and flexible with scheduling, which we really appreciated. She kept us updated throughout the stay, and we felt completely confident that Frankie was in great hands the entire time. We highly recommend Lori and would absolutely love to book with her again in the future!”

“Becca was great! Very responsive in communications, and very understanding of our unique Emmitt. It was a great match, and Emmitt and Kodak are now BFFs. I won't hesitate to use Becca in the future.”

“Allena took very good care of our puppy! Great communication throughout, and many good photos. Now that we're home Tubbs seems so happy and contented, it's obvious he had a comfortable and lovely stay.”

“Amber was amazing! I appreciated her communication and flexibility. Frank came back from her home happy and tired, and she showed me pictures and videos of him having a great time. Thanks Amber!”

“Sarah boarded my cat for two weeks. She was so good with my typically skittish and stranger-shy cat. My cat was very relaxed when I picked her up. Sarah sent pictures and updates throughout her stay and was so easy to communicate and coordinate with.”

“Darek was fantastic with my pup! She was a happy girl when I picked her up. On top of that, my trip ended up getting extended two extra days and Darek was so helpful and communicative during the whole process, it took a huge weight off of my shoulders as a pet parent! Definitely recommend him as a sitter and will be using him again!!”

“The Dude is in such great hands with Will. He is happy when he arrives, and he is happy when we pick him up, and he looks happy (and relaxed) in all the update photos Will sends. Can't ask for a better sitter for The Dude when we travel.”

“Heather did such an amazing job with our dog, Bruno! It was such a relief to know that he was having so much fun and being so well cared for while we were gone. We were afraid that he wouldn't want to come back home! She also sent the most amazing pics of him for us to enjoy! Thank you so much! Bruno can't wait to stay again!”

About: I have experience taking care of my own cats and others since I was young. I am good with cats of all kinds and I find it incredibly important to respect their space and go at their pace. I've had great success with getting shy or aggressive cats to open up and become comfortable with me. I have never taken care of a hairless cat but I would love to meet one and learn the unique aspects of their care as well.
About: I’ve had pets my whole life, so becoming a dog and cat sitter was a given. From senior snoozers to zoomy puppies, from ‘don’t touch me’ cats to ‘please love me immediately’ cats, I’ve handled it all and loved every second. I’m currently in school at Fort Lewis. I have a few classes scattered throughout the day. My busiest day right now will be Tuesdays with back to back classes from 8-2:30. If watching pets in your home, I will ask for a list of expectations (feed times, concerns) so I can do the best job. I will be diligent about updating you, sending photos, and asking questions if they arise.
“Trista stayed with my young, sociable cat on short notice for 5 nights. She was communicative and responsive. Trista took care of my space and left it just as she found it -- including washing the sheets on the bed. I came home to a happy and well-cared for kitty. I wholeheartedly recommend Trista as a pet sitter. Thanks Trista!”

About: Although I only recently started caring for cats, I’ve spent years taking care of many different animals and learning how to be attentive and gentle with pets of all personalities. About: I’ve been around cats my whole life. I am definitely more of a cat person than a dog person. I had two cats growing up, both strays that my family took in. I understand cats enjoy their space and can take time to come to you. My grandma has a cat named “Mr. Bigs” and I think that’s one of the best cat names I’ve heard so far. Hoping to meet many more cats through this app!
About: Hi! I'm Allie, and I'd love the opportunity to care for your pets while you're away. As a dog owner myself, I know how much our pets mean to us and how important it is to find someone you can trust. I treat every pet like they're part of the family and always strive to make them feel safe, loved, and comfortable. I have my own dog, so I'm very familiar with the daily routines, exercise, patience, and attention that go into keeping pets happy and healthy. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playing fetch, belly rubs, or simply relaxing with company, I'm happy to provide the care they need. I'm dependable, communicative, and will keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands. I'm comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes and personalities, and I take the time to learn each pet's routine, preferences, and any special needs they may have. My goal is to make your time away as stress-free as possible—for both you and your pet. I can't wait to meet your furry family member and give them the love, attention, and care they deserve! During the week I work in an office downtown full time. I have a flexible work schedule if i need to make a lunch stop! Otherwise available before and after work and on the weekends! I make sure the home stays tidy and clean so pets don't get into anything they shouldn't. If i'm just taking them on walks, I make sure to know how they interact with other dogs and animals. Having a dog myself, it's ideal for me to watch your dog at my house that has a huge fenced in yard if your dog is friendly with other dogs. But i am flexible to stay at your place as well!
About: I went to school originally for animal science and veterinary technology. I worked in veterinary ERs, general practice, shelters for 6 years out of school. While I have hung up my hat as a vet tech officially in 2009 after I found a passion for a career in nonprofit and outdoor education, I still maintained several dog/cat sitting clients in Telluride where I lived over the course of fifteen years on the side of my full time program director position for a busy summer camp. Now in my 40s I work from home or remotely, for the last six years, as a nonprofit consultant. I have one lab named Zappa who keeps me on my toes the way only labs know how. (I can always bring him with me to your home or let him stay at home.) My lifestyle is active and I stay flexible so I can work remotely for travel opportunities (or to stay with your fur babies in your home!). I love running, hiking, surfing, rafting and riding bikes. Senior pets, meds and special instructions are no problem for me with my certified vet tech background. I look forward to meeting you and your loved ones! Let me know if you have any questions 💙 I’m typically very flexible since I work from home. I split my time between Mancos/Durango/Telluride so can stay wherever you are or your pet can stay with me, or I can do drop ins. Sometimes I have to drive up to Telluride for client meetings but would know ahead of time and plan your pet sitting around that or just not schedule anything during that time. My house is very clean, uncluttered and comfortable. I have an unfenced yard on 4 acres but would follow your lead on this one. My dog uses a halo collar for his fence boundary at my house. I’ve cared for dogs who need leash walks only too.

About: Since childhood, I’ve always felt most at home among nonhuman animals, and I’ll never understand humans who treat animals as less deserving of love, respect, and care. My animals are my family, and I promise to care for your animals as if they were my own. I have experience with cats and dogs of all temperaments. One of my dogs has a history of reactivity and aggression towards other dogs. I feel very comfortable managing this type of behavior using treats, ecollar, muzzle, prevention techniques, and communication with other dog-owners. I’m also experienced managing groups of dogs off leash and will work with your dog to reinforce good recall and safety behaviors (such as stopping at intersections, waiting before they go out of sight, sitting for cars, passing other dogs, etc.). I am a writer who works from home. I am available for daycare, afternoon walks & drop-ins, and select boarding for dogs who get along well with my two dogs and are good with cats. If your dog is trained off-leash, has solid recall, and is either good with other dogs or muzzle trained, I offer pack hikes and walks. I have a large fenced yard with a dog door that goes into the main living areas. My two dogs & 4 cats are onsite. Your dog must be good with cats and other dogs or be muzzle-trained to attend daycare or boarding at my home. Your dogs will get a walk or adventure during daycare (unless you prefer them not to, in which case they must be able to stay home alone for 1-2 hours either kenneled or loose without becoming destructive). To attend off-leash pack walks/hikes, your dogs must demonstrate reliable recall even when triggers are present (such as an other dogs, wildlife, cats, cars, etc.). Your dog must also have no history of aggression towards other dogs or people OR be muzzle-trained.
“Our dogs seemed to like Jackson right away. He was very accommodating and willing to meet us at a convenient location. The dogs were just fine and happy when we picked them up.”

About: I have been working with animals since I was a child! I grew up on a farm with horses and our trusty yellow Labradors, learning from an early age the true meaning of taking care of others. I love providing dogs the happiest experience - I find such joy when playing, running, skiing, or hiking with dogs and seeing the BIG smile on their faces! Any pups that stay with me, my husband, and our goofy dog, Miles, will have a fantastic time, as well as guaranteed adventure (as appropriate!). When your pup stays with us, he/she will never be left alone and will be treated as one of our own. Having fur-babies of our own, I understand the importance of knowing that your pup is well taken care of according to his/her needs. We hope to see you soon! I work full-time from home with a flexible schedule. Considering this, your pup will never be left alone and enjoy our company (and snuggles) 24/7. I have a flexible schedule and will update my calendar weekly as needed regarding my availability. Our home is located in Rafter J on three acres, ~10 minutes from downtown Durango. We have one dog named Miles, a seven-year-old Weimaraner who has a goober personality and LOVES to play with other dogs.

“Thanks Sara! Dogs were relaxed when we got home. Thanks for coming out the day before and meeting us and the dogs. Greatly appreciate. It’s so hard when we are traveling to find someone when we are out for a long day!”

“Ana was an outstanding walker for Remy. She took great care to introduce herself and showed us how she would walk him during her walks. She was extremely transparent in her communication with us as well as when she picked up and dropped off Remy. We will defiantly employ her services again when the situation arrises.”
“Mariah took my girl to one of our favorite walking spots around town. I appreciated that she asked for water and a bowl given the nights are still warm. Appreciate the mindfulness around appropriate times to get a pup out in the summer.”

About: I work at Willow Tree Kennel in Durango and have learned a lot about dog body language and social interactions. We focus primarily on accommodating to each individual dog’s needs and I would do the same for your dog that you entrust in my care. I have great attention to detail and have a good eye for anything that might be out of the ordinary for dog health. I actively research and gain more knowledge on dog interactions and am accustomed to working with reactive dogs or bite risks that take more time and going slower. I am comfortable working with puppies, antisocial dogs, reactive dogs, and dogs that require a slower movement due to bite risk. Additionally, I’m working to become a dog trainer someday and am researching for that as well so your doggie and I can have a fun interactive relationship! My goal is to help fix any issues you may have while walking your dog and also make sure your dog is comfortable with me and their interactions on their walk! I have attached photos to my profile of some of the fun doggie experience I’ve had! A side note is that I have had my own dog and trained her various tricks for fun :) I also have experience in horse care with abused horses and am overall comfortable with all animals and behaviors within reason! I can fit a walk into any of my days but am going to school. I can do house/pet sitting but not overnight stays and am working full time. I can’t board at my home, but in a clients home I would follow the instructions given and make sure to give their pet plenty of attention and care! I have great attention to detail and would make sure nothing went awry with your home or your pets :)
About: Hi! My name is Jake. I grew up in a house full of pets and have taken care of them for as long as I can remember. I work full time at Fort Lewis, so I am completely available after 4 pm Monday through Friday with an hour during the day for walk breaks. During the weekend I can be fully available. I am available for any type of house sitting! Whether it be a quick midday walk or week-long stay, I am there to keep your pets comfortable in their home environment, on their schedule.

About: I’ve cared for many different dogs for years. From friends to family, I like to spend time with dogs in their own environment to get them comfortable without their owner and with me. I’ll play with their toys, know their favorite spaces and habits, etc. I treat every pet like they’re my own—paying close attention to their routines, personalities, and little quirks so they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away I’m a full time college student at the University of Denver, but home in Durango for the summer. I can do boarding any day and am flexible with my schedule. I focus on keeping pets comfortable by sticking as closely as possible to their normal routine. In a client’s home, I follow all feeding schedules, walk routines, and any specific care instructions, including medications if needed. I make sure pets get plenty of attention, playtime, and affection, while also respecting their space if they’re more shy or independent.
“Nichole was amazing! She walked our 12 week golden retriever during last weekends snow storm. Nichole was quick to respond to our inquiry, willing to make an extra visit to meet us, and so dependable. We are very grateful and hope to see her again on our next visit.”

About: I have a senior pup back home, we rescued her years ago and now she’s living her best life all spoiled with seasonal bananas. I have another 4 year german shepherd who’s high functioning and interactive, I love taking him to the dog park and out for pup-cups. I have lots of free time between classes to check on/walk your puppies! If your pups need more supervision I’d be happy to stay at the house between classes to keep your pets company. Your pet would always be in my sight when we’re outside, and I’d follow your instructions for them inside. I clean up after myself and I pack my own snacks.
About: I’ve been around dogs since I was 5 years old and have experience caring for dogs of different sizes, personalities, and energy levels. I’m comfortable feeding, walking, playing with, and giving pets lots of attention and affection. Since I’m home most of the day, your pet will have constant supervision, care, and companionship. I understand how important pets are to families, and I’ll treat your dog like my own while making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I currently have an open schedule, which allows me to give pets lots of attention throughout the day. I’m available for walks, drop-ins, daycare, and overnight care, and I can stay flexible with different routines and needs. Your pet won’t ever be left alone for long periods and will get plenty of playtime, supervision, and care. I have an 8-month-old female dog and a cat in my home, so I’m very used to caring for animals daily and making sure they stay safe, comfortable, and happy. Your animals can play with mine and I always supervise interactions between pets and pay attention to their behavior to keep the environment calm and stress-free. I follow owners’ instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, routines, and any special care needs, to help every pet feel secure and well cared for.
About: Working with pets is something I truly love. I grew up on a farm with countless cats, cows, pigs, and horses, where I think that love started. Since, I’ve volunteered for an animal shelter, cared for other’s pets (housesitting, walking, drop in visits), and had my own doggo for thirteen years, and recently adopted a sweet family dog. Under my care, you can trust that your pet will be safe and happy. At the moment, pet care is my main priority! I haven’t any major responsibilities competing with it, so I can dedicate a great deal of time and love into pet care. I’d love to make a schedule where I can take your dog on long walks/hikes and cuddle, or give your kitty lots of love throughout the day! When I care for a pet, I take that responsibly very seriously. I follow instructions closely and give the cat and/or dog all the love and pets! I’m happy to provide as many updates and pictures that you’d like to give you peace of mind, as that’s what I would want as a pet owner myself!

About: I’ve grown up around dogs and currently have two of my own—a 5-year-old black lab and a 4-year-old German shepherd—so I’m very used to daily care like feeding, walks, and playtime. While I don’t have formal sitting experience, I’m comfortable with different dog personalities and routines. I love being outdoors, so your dog will get plenty of walks and attention. I also work shorter hours, which gives me a flexible schedule and more time to focus on your pet. I’m patient, reliable, and treat every dog like my own. Pet care fits easily into my routine since I already care for my own two dogs every day. I work shorter hours (about 32 hours a week), so I have a good amount of flexibility. I’m available Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, and can plan my day around walks, visits, and spending quality time with your pet. I care for pets by sticking as close as possible to their normal routine so they feel comfortable and stress-free. That includes feeding on schedule, regular walks, playtime, and making sure they get plenty of attention. In a client’s home, I’m respectful of their space and follow any specific instructions they leave, whether that’s routines, medications, or preferences. I also make sure pets get lots of love and updates while you’re away. At home, I provide a safe, calm environment with plenty of supervision, exercise, and time outside. Since I already have two dogs, I’m used to managing multiple pets and making sure everyone is comfortable and getting along.
About: I’ve had pets since I was a kid. I love animals and caring for them. I am patient and understanding of individual pets wants and needs. I am a traveling physical therapist. I recently lost my furry friend, so I enjoy getting to sit and spend time with other animals. I work four days, but off three days a week. I get time during the day to come and let your furry friends out to play as much as possible! I have a fenced in yard, I am home all day, and there are no children or other pets in the home. We have plenty of toys and doggie beds!

“Courtney is an amazing pet sitter! I reached out to her just a few days before we were headed out of town and she was able to accommodate my request. She provided daily updates, loved on our pup, took him out for lots of activity and went above and beyond to provide the best care to him. I would highly recommend Courtney to care for your animal. She is a wonderful person.”
