When the narrow gauge train we were riding broke down in Silverton leaving us stranded for a few hours, Cat swung by again for a second walk after she got off work . Talk about dedication! About: Since childhood, I’ve always felt most at home among nonhuman animals, and I’ll never understand humans who treat animals as less deserving of love, respect, and care. My animals are my family, and I promise to care for your animals as if they were my own. I have experience with cats and dogs of all temperaments. One of my dogs has a history of reactivity and aggression towards other dogs. I feel very comfortable managing this type of behavior using treats, ecollar, muzzle, prevention techniques, and communication with other dog-owners. I’m also experienced managing groups of dogs off leash and will work with your dog to reinforce good recall and safety behaviors (such as stopping at intersections, waiting before they go out of sight, sitting for cars, passing other dogs, etc.). I am a writer who works from home. I am available for daycare, afternoon walks & drop-ins, and select boarding for dogs who get along well with my two dogs and are good with cats. If your dog is trained off-leash, has solid recall, and is either good with other dogs or muzzle trained, I offer pack hikes and walks. I have a large fenced yard with a dog door that goes into the main living areas. My two dogs & 4 cats are onsite. Your dog must be good with cats and other dogs or be muzzle-trained to attend daycare or boarding at my home. Your dogs will get a walk or adventure during daycare (unless you prefer them not to, in which case they must be able to stay home alone for 1-2 hours either kenneled or loose without becoming destructive). To attend off-leash pack walks/hikes, your dogs must demonstrate reliable recall even when triggers are present (such as an other dogs, wildlife, cats, cars, etc.). Your dog must also have no history of aggression towards other dogs or people OR be muzzle-trained.

About: I’ve cared for many different dogs for years. From friends to family, I like to spend time with dogs in their own environment to get them comfortable without their owner and with me. I’ll play with their toys, know their favorite spaces and habits, etc. I treat every pet like they’re my own—paying close attention to their routines, personalities, and little quirks so they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away I’m a full time college student at the University of Denver, but home in Durango for the summer. I can do boarding any day and am flexible with my schedule. I focus on keeping pets comfortable by sticking as closely as possible to their normal routine. In a client’s home, I follow all feeding schedules, walk routines, and any specific care instructions, including medications if needed. I make sure pets get plenty of attention, playtime, and affection, while also respecting their space if they’re more shy or independent.

About: hi my name is Chloe! My family has 4 dogs who I love to take care of. They are basically my babies. I would love to take care of your pets! I’m super reliable and pretty good about working around times for things needed to be done. I have a big heart for animals and I would love to help you out as well. My schedule is pretty light. I work Monday-Wednesday, and Friday from 3-7:30. Sometimes those hours fluctuate. But other than that I’m pretty available to be there morning, all during the day, and back for dinner time! If I were at my home I would play outside and stay with them till we are ready to come in. I’ll play fetch, tug, go on walks, or car rides! At others houses I would do the same, unless I am told otherwise.

About: Working with pets is something I truly love. I grew up on a farm with countless cats, cows, pigs, and horses, where I think that love started. Since, I’ve volunteered for an animal shelter, cared for other’s pets (housesitting, walking, drop in visits), and had my own doggo for thirteen years, and recently adopted a sweet family dog. Under my care, you can trust that your pet will be safe and happy. At the moment, pet care is my main priority! I haven’t any major responsibilities competing with it, so I can dedicate a great deal of time and love into pet care. I’d love to make a schedule where I can take your dog on long walks/hikes and cuddle, or give your kitty lots of love throughout the day! I’m comfortable feeding, walking, playing with, and giving pets lots of attention and affection. Since I’m home most of the day, your pet will have constant supervision, care, and companionship.
