About: Hi, I’m Lisa. I provide gentle, reliable pet care for cats and dogs, keeping their routines as normal as possible while you’re away. I’m certified in pet CPR and take care instructions seriously, with a strong focus on safety and consistency. My dog is 17 years young, so I especially enjoy working with pets who are older, shy, anxious, or used to a quiet home. I believe routines help pets feel secure, so I follow schedules closely, keep walks consistent, and watch for any behavioral changes. I offer house sitting, drop-in visits, and dog walking. I’m available seven days a week and organize my schedule around pets’ routines. I’m present for morning care, afternoon walks or check-ins, evening care, and overnight stays when booked. I do have two predictable personal commitments each day (late morning and early evening), and I plan pet care around those times so routines remain consistent. Walk times can be adjusted as needed, especially during hotter parts of the day. I treat clients’ homes with respect and care. I keep doors and gates secure, double-check leashes during walks, and never take risks with unfamiliar dogs. I’m happy to provide regular updates with notes and photos so you can feel confident while you’re away.
“Mariah took my girl to one of our favorite walking spots around town. I appreciated that she asked for water and a bowl given the nights are still warm. Appreciate the mindfulness around appropriate times to get a pup out in the summer.”

About: I’ve had animals my whole life. I have always loved animals and my freinds, neighbors, and family always ask me to care for their furry loved ones! I’m currently working only a couple shifts a month at my other job, so I can be reliable and flexible with many different schedules to fit your needs! In my clients home I will be sure the pets have the food/water their owners desire, and I would love to play and run the energy out of your pets during the day while your at work!
About: Hello fellow dog lovers! With over 20 years of experience owning and caring for dogs, I understand the deep bond between humans and their furry companions. Although I cannot host pets in my rental overnight, I’d love to take your dog for a walk or house sit where they feel most comfortable- your home! I work from home, which allows me the flexibility to provide care both during and outside of regular business hours. Whether it’s a midday walk, evening playtime or weekend adventure, I’m here to ensure your dog receives the attention, love and exercise they deserve. If you book me for pet sitting in your home, you can feel at ease knowing that I will respect your space and make it a goal of mine to leave your space as clean as you left it. Let’s connect and discuss how I can offer your dog the right care and attention to make you feel comfortable when you can’t be with them. I look forward to meeting you and your pups! I work from home and have a fairly flexible schedule! I can provide pet services within or outside of regular business hours- let’s discuss your pets needs and I can likely fit them in to my schedule, no problem! I love clients who offer detailed lists of their pets needs and daily routines! I used to do the same with my dog and know that following something like this gives everyone involved (dogs included!) ease of mind.
About: A fearful dog letting their guard down; an anxious client gaining trust to travel; problem solving a behavioral obstacle; pouring love and affection into a precious pet. These are my why's. We will create a unique care plan for your pet with: my 20 year's of experience + your expert knowledge of your pet + evidence based care practices. Let's start with a phone call for a quick get-to-know you. If we're aligned, I'd love to move forward with scheduling a meet and greet! I’m experienced with positive reinforcement training with animals of all ages, temperaments, and special needs. I have cared for pets with various health conditions like heart & liver diseases, mobility aid harness, blind and deafness, arthritis, anxiety, the list goes on and on. I am happy to answer any questions, hope to hear from you soon! For house sitting clients, my priority is your pet and your home. I plan to spend the majority of my time at your home bringing you your pet peace of mind. I look forward to creating a partnership we are all comfortable with! For dog walking/drop in clients- we’ll discuss your goal for the visit and agree upon a plan. Is it to meet a basic need? Provide mental stimulation? Exercise? For pet parents- it’s important to note that often times, it’s not about the distance walked. Rather, the level of engagement and mental stimulation your pet receives. I practice positive reinforcement training with my own pup. With your direction, I will understand your pets motivation- is it food, affection, play, praise? My priority is creating a positive relationship built on trust and respect. I am careful to observe body language and take your pets lead when it comes to affection, play, and desired activity.
About: Hello fellow pet lovers! 🐾 I’m based in beautiful Durango, Colorado, and I’d be thrilled to care for your furry (or fluffy!) family members. I’ve been around animals my entire life and was lucky enough to share many amazing years with my sweet husky girl before she crossed the rainbow bridge. Because of her, I understand just how much love and trust go into choosing the right sitter or walker. I have experience with dog walking, boarding, feeding, and giving medications — and I’m all about customizing care to fit your pet’s unique personality and routine. Whether your pup loves long mountain walks, your kitty enjoys cozy cuddle time, or your houseplants need a little extra TLC, I’ve got you covered! 🌿🐶🐱 I have a reliable vehicle and can travel up to 40 miles from Durango. My schedule is flexible, my energy is positive, and my goal is to make sure both you and your pets feel happy and at ease while you’re apart. Can’t wait to meet your beloved companions and learn how I can help make their days a little brighter! I am a massage therapist in the area so my schedule is fairly flexible and shifts I work are short. I have availability twice a day to walk your pups and would make sure your animal gets all the love and minimal time without human companionship. I treat any animals that I care for as my own. I can easily let your dog out multiple times and day in addition to at least two walks a day. I have experience with housekeeping, farming, and animal care so please don’t hesitate to ask if you need more that just pet care.
“Andy was great. He came by to meet our girls first and then back the next day for a walk. He really let us enjoy our day up to Silverton on the Steam Engine railroad. Highly recommend him.”

“Christopher has been great on walks with my very hyper German shepherd. She's always worn out after their walk/jogs together and loves the attention. Can't recommend him enough.”

“Lori is awesome! Very professional and LOVES dogs! I’m a busy doctor who needed someone to walk my dog during a few days of being on-call for long hours while my family was out of town. I decided to try Rover.com and was very reassured after meeting Lori that my pup was in good hands. She sent me a pic each day when she walked her and that was so relieving to me!! I highly recommend her and will definitely be requesting more stays with her in the future!”

About: I’ve taken care of many dogs from very small to giant breeds. I have experience with puppies all the way to senior dogs with heath issues. I have a very flexible schedule and either me or my husband is home at all times. I am a huge animal lover and have owned my own dogs for 20 years. I live in an area with lots of room to roam, fenced back yard and I live on 4 acres. I am a registered nurse currently working part time and my husband works from home. So we coordinate our schedules so that someone is always home with our dog and son. I have a large area for pets to be outside that is fully fenced. Very nice neighborhood with easy access to my home. I have one small dog who is very friendly with other dogs. I am also willing to accommodate your needs to make you more comfortable with caring for your pets, as a long time per owner I know how stressful it can be to leave them and having someone wonderful care for them is extremely important.
About: Growing up my family always had pets- dogs, cats, birds, and rabbits. My first job in high school was a kennel assistant at an animal hospital. I would take pets for walks, administer medications, feed them, etc. I spent a lot of time in exam rooms and surgeries assisting the veterinarian as well. My entire adult life I have had a dog or 2 dogs. Currently I have two, Mishka and Milo. They are super sweet and love making new friends! I run a cleaning business, which allows me to be flexible and make my own schedule. If I do need to leave for a work day, the pups would have a safe place to be for the day. I never leave for more than 6 hours. Ideally, when caring for someone else’s pup, I would make my schedule so I don’t need to leave them home alone. I am happy to accommodate! When I am caring for someone’s pet in their home, I will work with your pet’s regular eating and potty schedule when planning my visits! I am happy to care for your pet in my home, or in your home! My dogs do great in other people’s homes when I housesit. I have a safe and comfortable home. Typically once or twice a day I take the dogs on a walk where it is safe for them to be off leash and run. If your pet needs to be on a leash for walks, that is ok with me too.

About: I've been an animal lover all my life. I started watching rabbits, cats, dogs, and turtles when I was just a kid. I now have a 2 year old Heeler-Great Prynees mix that I've raised and trained from 12 weeks old! Indy is the light of my life and best friend to all. He is extremely friendly and playful with great communication and boundaries. I also was foster parent at the local shelter for eleven different dogs ranging from 4 weeks to 12 years old. I took care of these dogs for an extended period of time until they could find loving forever homes. I have plenty of experience caring for, feeding, walking, cuddling, managing reactive dogs, and training. As a self employed individual, I'm available to work within your schedule and would love to take your pups on long hikes or simple give them some belly rubs on the couch. I also offer additional dog training for $75/hr whether it's just for an hour or during a sit. I am self employed and extremely flexible! I can walk dogs at any point during the day and am available for home visits at anytime. For boarding, I'll be with your dogs almost the entire day. I don't have a fenced yard but I do have excellent trails right across the street from my house and a kennel in my house for dogs that need to be confined when left home alone. I live in a very safe neighborhood .

About: I have experience with small-large dogs, cats, lizards, fish, and many other animals. I even worked for a wildlife rehabilitation center for 3.5 years, so I have a lot of experience with a wide variety of animals. I'm enthusiastic about getting pets outside into nature and playing with them. Playtime is vital to the health and happiness of pets, and I am ready to provide the service. Being a pet owner, I know how happy pets are when they get to stay home when their owners are away. That's why I am excited to help you make that happen by house sitting and pet sitting for you. Contact me and I will help you and your lovely pet be happy together. Have a blessed day! I work from home, so typically I spend the whole day sitting at the house and caring for the dog. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
