“Andrew is fantastic with our shy cats and super reliable. He has great communication and sends us lots of cute photos of our girls! We'll definitely have Andrew watch our kitties again!”

“Madeline did such a great job taking care of our Beau kitty and home while we were away on a family trip. She sent so many pictures daily with detailed updates and stories about how he was doing. Though he was a little wary at first, he seemed to warm up bit by bit as time went by, and I think by about the time we were ready to come home he was sad to see her leave. We came home to a happy kitty thanks to her! She also watered my flowers for which I was so grateful :-)”

About: I have taken care of dogs and cats since I was about 10. I have had different breeds of dogs such as Schnauzer, Poodle, Maltese, and an Australian Shepherd/lab mix. I have experience in taking care of multiple animals at a time and some experience administering medication to senior cats and dogs. I am going to be doing gig work so my schedule is as flexible as it needs to be. I can sit or drop in during the morning, day or evening. Since I will be taking care of pets in your home, I would utilize what is at my disposal as far as taking dogs out whether that's a fenced in yard or on a leash. I'd like to have a meet and greet to get to know where the food is kept and learn if your pet has any particulars when it comes to feeding, playing, etc.
“Katie just watched our 4 cats for the second time this Christmas weekend (drop-in visits) and she did a great job! The kitties are always happy to see her and she spends a lot of time making sure they are happy and fed before leaving. We are always a little nervous leaving our cats alone for extended periods of time and having them able to stay at home and have her come to our house to cuddle and feed them makes our vacations a lot less stressful!”

“Christine is a great pet sitter who is super conscientious and thoughtful! She has a ton of experience with animals as a Vet Tech which gave me the confidence to have her care for my brand new, 8 week old puppy. She has made good, responsible decisions. I can tell she loves animals by the care she gives mine!”

About: I have worked various dog, cat, and house sitting jobs as well as having pets (dogs, bunny, parakeet) of my own throughout my entire life. I am also currently going to school and am majoring in Wildlife Biology/ conservation so I can help all the animals of the world! I have also worked at a summer camp and a stable with horses for a few years and have avid practice with animals. Due to my various work I have great insight on how pets are feeling and great attention to care. I am a very hard worker as well and will set aside as much time as my schedule provides to hang out with your pets! I am currently a student at Fort Lewis College and I am studying wildlife biology. I will have plenty of time to watch pets when I am not in classes. I will have gaps no longer than 3 1/2 hours where I will be in classes and unable to be actively watching pets, but otherwise will be pretty free overall! I do not currently have a place where I can watch pets, but will be more than happy to drop by others homes whenever necessary. I can hang out with pets inside or outside for as much time needed and will be happy to take as long of walks with them as they need.
“We are very happy with the service that Julia provided. We will be calling upon her in the near future. So wonderful to leave our old kids in the hands of someone reliable and caring. Thank you!”

About: *Update* I am currently only available for pet/house sitting, drop-in visits, and dog walking. Please note that for pet/house sits, I will need to bring my 12 year old chocolate lab along with me :) Hey there, I’m Erin! I have been offering dog care services in Durango for the past few years now. It has been such a joy, I can hardly call it a job :) I love to get to care for the pups that come to my home and ensure they receive quality care, alongside lots of fun! I have grown up with dogs for the majority of my life. I have a 12 year old chocolate lab of my own named Paxson, who I have had the joy of living life with since he was 7 weeks old! With all of my experience of dog sitting and having my own dogs, I am very confident in my ability to take wonderful care of your pup(s) :) I live right in town with fenced yards in both the front and back. Dogs have frequent access to these areas as I am home with them the majority of the time. For both day care and overnight visits, daily outside/exercise time is a guarantee during your dog's stay with me! We love to have all the fun outside— neighborhood strolls, hiking in the mountains and trails around town, swimming, playing fetch, visits to the park to play/meet other dogs, and hanging in the sunshine are some of our favorite things. Since exercise needs vary, I am happy to accommodate as needed. I have a flexible schedule with working out of my home— This allows me to prioritize my time and attention towards taking good care of your pup(s)! Your pet will have a comfortable, safe, and loving place to settle into here at my house! They will never be left unattended outside or for any periods of time more than 3 hours.
About: I have experience working with Assistance Dogs of the West as a student trainer. I also spend my summers working at a children’s camp. I have an adorable dog at home who I have taken good care of for seven years. I am currently a part time student, so I have decent availability on weekdays before 10 and after 5:30. My weekends are free for drop ins and walking services! I take time to follow any instructions carefully. I have experience with animals and can make sure they are safe and happy. I am confident in handling unexpected situations and can keep a cool head under pressure.
About: I’ve had animals my whole life. I have always loved animals and my freinds, neighbors, and family always ask me to care for their furry loved ones! I’m currently working only a couple shifts a month at my other job, so I can be reliable and flexible with many different schedules to fit your needs! In my clients home I will be sure the pets have the food/water their owners desire, and I would love to play and run the energy out of your pets during the day while your at work!
“I cannot recommend Patricia highly enough. This was my first time using Rover, and it was an emergency. I was leaving town for a long-planned and non-optional trip when my neighbor was admitted to the hospital, leaving me with less than 24 hours to find someone else to care for my three cats. Patricia stepped up once I found her through Rover. She accepted the assignment within minutes, and then guided me by text through the application and scheduling process (which is very thorough but could be more user-friendly IMO). She showed up every day and stayed in close contact with me. She even watered my plants. Thanks, Patricia!”
About: Hello! 👋🐾 I’m Ben - newly settled in Durango, CO after two years exploring Europe. I grew up in the English countryside surrounded by animals, so caring for pets has always been second nature to me. 🌿🐑🐶 I’ve worked with everything from farm animals to family pets, most recently working with Secondhand Hounds shelter in Minnesota helping care for dogs and cats waiting for their forever homes. 🐕🦺🐱💛 I’m comfortable with all breeds, all sizes, and all personalities - energetic adventurers, gentle giants, seniors who need a softer pace, and even pups with quirks or nerves. My experience includes walking, grooming, potty breaks, basic care, and medication support. 🚶♂️🧼💊 I’ve recently moved back to the U.S. after living in the UK for several years. In the US, I worked along side several pet adoption/rescue agencies & volunteered at shelters. I follow your pet’s normal routine and your instructions exactly! Feeding, walks, meds, and house rules. I keep a close eye on safety, stress, and comfort, whether I’m in your home or they’re with me. Your pet stays supervised, secure, and treated with the same care I’d give my own.
