About: I grew up with dogs (golden retrievers and a papillon) for 23 years, I love every dog I see, so dog care is definitely my thing. I am very accustomed to all types of dog behaviour, walking, feeding, giving medication, itchy paw care, and all other pet care associated with dogs. I'm a well seasoned dog caretaker and am very familiar with many types of challenges and hyper puppies. I currently do not have a day job, so I am very able to be a hands-on caretaker to your pet. Walking, feeding, and attentiveness are my main priority. The best way to make sure your pets feel safe, trusting, and comfortable is for me to continue on the daily routine they tend to follow. I'm very familiar with having to separate animals in different rooms, gates, stairs, feeding schedules and walking times. The best way I can give the utmost care for your companion is if you tell me exactly what you'd appreciate in terms of caretaking from me and I will make sure I do it exactly how you'd like in a way that is comfortable for you and you pet!
About: I’ve had hands-on experience caring for cats my entire life, so I’m very comfortable with their routines, personalities, and needs. In addition to cat care, I’ve walked neighbours’ dogs and I’ve also volunteered through the Elder Dog program, where I helped walk dogs for seniors. This has given me experience with pets of different temperaments and energy levels, and an understanding of the importance of gentle, consistent care. I take pride in being attentive, dependable, and respectful of each pet’s individual needs. I’m available for boarding on weekends, and I work from home on some days, which allows flexibility for pet care during the week. I’m also available most weekdays after 4:00 pm for walks, check-ins, or sitting. I provide a calm, safe, quiet and pet-friendly environment in my home, with a large apartment and easy access to outdoor areas and walking trails.
“Kate did an amazing job taking care of our cat Sid while we were on vacation. She was very responsive and detailed every visit. He was fortunate to have Kate checking in on him. I wouldn’t hesitate to use her again.”

“Kate and Grant are fabulous humans who looked after our kitties as if they were their own. They kept us up to date and let us know how our fur babies were doing. I highly recommend them, and they are now our go-to pet sitters. If you are looking for someone trustworthy who will take the best care of your pets, they are the ones!”

I’m used to being around animal, I am currently free this month (March 2026), and after March 2026 I’m still available in the afternoon, and the weekend. I am a big believer of scheduling so as long as it fit in my schedule, then it’s good to go. I live in an apartment by myself, but there is a dog park right next to my apartment :) I used to have a ferret, and my whole apartment is pet proof, it’s pretty safe for all the animal

About: Growing up, we’ve always had dogs. I’ve always gotten to walk them (2 at a time), and now, I also love walking friends’ dogs with them! I always work from home, part time, with a flexible schedule, so apart from the occasional meeting here in or there, I’m almost always available. Every pet is unique, so I coordinate with the owner to see what the pet needs. When I meet a pet for the first time, I give them the space necessary for them to feel comfortable, and wait for them to reach out.
About: I have always loved dogs and I've been lucky enough to have been around then my whole life. Over the years friends, family, neighbors have relied on me to look after their dogs. I'm currently taking some time from work, so my schedule is pretty flexible. In my free time when I'm not at home I'm outside, either at the beach or wandering in a park, so I dog would easily fit into my daily routines. When caring for pets, I prioritize their well-being, comfort, and routine to make sure that they feel safe and loved. Coming from having an anxious dog in the past, I pay close attention to their behavior and body language to ensure that everyone is feeling safe, calm, and happy.
“Richelle was an exceptional sitter for my two cats! Both have anxiety in their own way and she knew exactly what they needed to feel as good as possible in my absence. She was super responsive, asked lots of questions to get to know them, and provided detailed summaries of her visits with lots of photos. Highly recommend for anxious pets and pet parents alike!”

She is reliable, communicates well, and follows all the instructions for your pet. I am looking forward to her caring for my cat again.”

About: My partner Alex and I have taken care of fluffy friends for over 2 years now. Without advertising ourselves, people genuinely go around and tell others how good their experiences were with us. As a young couple, we have always known that our travelling plans doesn’t allow us to have our own pets, but our experiences with friends’ pets gave us confidence to try taking care of others’ pets. We are more than ready to learn more about this journey too! Here is a bonus ($20 off) for our first time customer: code ANQIAW39001, on https://www.rover.com/sit/anqiaw39001. I work as an educational assistant in a secondary school and my partner is a physics PhD student at UVic. My work is 9-3 everyday and his schedule is flexible. For dogs we used to split the walks into morning walk (him) and evening walk (myself or us both). For cats it will be flexible because our schedules make it at least one of us will be at home for most of the time of the day (18-24 hours) Our apartment building is located next to several parks and a quiet residential neighbourhood where we like to walk with pets. Our apartment courtyard also has a private and secure dog run where pets can play off leash. Our apartment has multiple windows so it provides amazing view for your pets to look out and say hi to any animals passing by.
About: Back home in the Philippines, my family had four dogs, and I was heavily involved in their care every day. Before moving to Victoria, my parents relied on me to walk, bathe, feed, and care for all four dogs. Since moving to Victoria, I have also cared for 4 dogs through Rover, including rescue dogs and a senior rescue, with some becoming repeat clients. Through these experiences, I’ve become very comfortable handling different dog personalities, energy levels, and routines. I genuinely love spending time with animals and always do my best to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. I also understand how important trust and communication are, so I’m happy to provide regular updates and photos to help with peace of mind. I recently graduated and currently work on a fixed schedule on Fridays and Saturdays. My availability is generally flexible from Sunday to Thursday, although I do appreciate advance notice whenever possible so I can plan accordingly. Pet care fits very naturally into my routine, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. Since moving to Canada, being around dogs has brought me a lot of comfort, especially after leaving my own dogs back home with my family in the Philippines. I always do my best to create a safe, calm, and comfortable environment for every pet in my care. What helps me most is when owners provide detailed information about their dog’s usual routine, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, comfort needs, and any specific behaviors or preferences. As much as possible, I like to keep dogs on the same routine they are used to so they feel secure and comfortable even while their owners are away. I also prioritize giving pets my full attention and patience during our time together.
About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and I’m well-versed in training from helping manage reactive rescues to training working dogs and puppies. I am looking to spend more time with furry friends as I can’t have one of my own right now. I am happy to walk your dog, take them on one of my daily runs, or train them specific commands! I have experience with training puppies and caring for senior dogs. I enjoy going on walks and runs and live a very active lifestyle and I enjoy bring a dog with me for all my adventures. I am a varsity athlete currently focusing on school and training so I can provide care during most times of the day. I live in an apartment that is not dog friendly so I would be looking to house sit. I like to take a personal approach to dog sitting depending on the needs of the dog or puppy. I can adjust my schedule to fit the needs of the dog.

This review is for the series of 'get-to-know-you' drop-ins Gwynn and I scheduled before I was away for a week that they helped with. My pup is very barky right now and it can be intimidating for some people, but Gwynn and I managed to move through this phase with intention and ease. My little Luga quickly warmed to Gwynn, and after only a couple of brief visits together Luga quickly learned that it is in fact a very HAPPY occasion to see Gwynn ;) This phase of the relationship-building between Gwynn and Luga was a bit anxiety-inducing for me, but Gwynn is so professional and experienced and compassionate and in command of energies that everything went according to plan, and I could not be more grateful for it. Thank you, Gwynn!!!!! <3

Thomas was great with Vesper! He was very timely with his visits and I appreciated that he sent some pictures and kept me up to date on what our pup was up to! He even came over to meet her and get a feel for the routine the day before! Will definitely be booking again.

We had a last minute request for drop-in sessions for my brother’s Big Bully Baby, Benny. My brother was away snowboarding and Benny was staying with my father, but was just too much dog for my father to exercise as he is having health problems. I’m on the mainland and couldn’t help out but luckily found Emma here, and she was able to go out and walk Benny and play with him two days in a row to get Benny out in the fresh air and get some energy out of him. She really saved the day and Benny loved his time with her. I wasn’t sure if I would find someone comfortable with Benny’s size and breed (even though he’s a big softie) so to have her come play and be comfortable with him was an extra blessing. Thank you so much!!

Not only was Allan GREAT with my dogs, he was flexible on Christmas Day! Today was our second walk and I loved seeing the dogs get excited to see him. I came back to find them loving all over him. Highly recommend. Would certainly go to Allan first if I was back here and needing a walker again!

Eugene was great and he went above and beyond to take care of Eddie while we were away. We managed to make it home early so we're able to see Eddie interact with Eugene and Eddie was thrilled to see him and walk with him! Without question we would book again with Eugene and thank him very much for all of his time!

Kaori was incredibly gentle and kind with my two nervous but sweet dogs! We booked her to watch them two nights in a row and the first night, they were their typical shy selves, but by the second night, they were truly excited to see her when she came in and barely noticed when we left! I would highly recommend anyone to trust Kaori with their beloved pets and will absolutely rebook with her in future when we visit Victoria!
Sarah was very communicative. She took a million pictures and was very expressive of how my pup was feeling and his reactions to the walks. She was amazing during the meet and greet and charmed ma and my dog. I will 100% request her again next time I need a sitter.
