About: I have always grown up with animals - dogs, cats, fish, bearded dragons.. and have house sitted and cared for friends animals (and plants!) across England, Australia, USA and Canada. I am an avid hiker and also city stroller - keen to take your dog on a big hike or little guy on a stroll along the beach. Happy to practice commands and any tricks youve been teaching your guy. I am taking the winter off from my usual line of work, so my schedule is fully open. I co-parent two cats with my partner in Victoria, BC and have been missing the companionship of some dogs around me. I like going for long walks almost every day after recently completing the PCT and happy to bring your dog along for some of my longer or shorter walks. I am a routine loving person and happy to adapt to your already established routine with your pet. I can keep things comfortable and consistent, from the length of walks to feeding time. Beyond pet care im happy to bring your mail in, water your plants and keep your place clean and secure.

About: Hi! I’m Sydney, and I’m new to Victoria but certainly not new to caring for animals! 🐾 I’ve cared for animals across Canada and abroad, including dogs, cats, horses and goats. In high school, I managed the baby barn on a goat farm, caring for around 200 baby goats, including feeding, providing vitamins and supporting those with mobility difficulties. While travelling, I’ve also cared for two dogs and three horses on a farm in Turkey, regularly walked a dog in Germany, and spent two months in Albania caring for a puppy through daily walks, feeding and socialization. In Canada, I’ve looked after dogs of all ages and energy levels, from playful puppies to senior dogs, as well as cats. I’m also a cat parent myself, and my cat is one of my favourite little companions! I genuinely LOVE animals, and it brings me so much joy to be someone pet owners can trust to care for their furry family members while they’re away. I know how important it is to find someone who treats your pets with patience, attention and love, and I want you to feel at ease knowing they’re in good hands. Whether your pet needs a long walk, playtime, extra patience or simply some company, I’ll tailor my care to their needs, follow their usual routines and send regular photo updates so you know how they’re doing. I’m excited to meet Victoria’s pets and their people, and I’d love to care for your animals as if they were my own! ❤️ I work regular hours but am blessed to have flexibility when a pet is in need! Feeding and medication administration are time-sensitive, so I'll always make sure I'm there when you (and your pet) expect me to be there. Unfortunately (and fortunately!), my home is already shared with a few beautiful animals, so I’m not able to host pets long-term. That said, I absolutely love caring for animals and am happy to provide care in your home. I’ll treat your pets and your space with the same care and respect I would want for my own, while keeping their normal routines as consistent and comfortable as possible.

About: I'm cat/dog sitting/walking for my friends a lot. Haven't had any issues with anyone so far. I used to have a cat of my own, too. 😸 Will be taking care of your pet just as good as you do! I work full-time 8:30 - 4:30. I have plenty of time after work, except Wednesdays, but I could shuffle around my schedule if needed 🤗 I can stay at your place and take care of the pet following your instructions. Once I had to look after a sick cat and give him meds under a set time schedule.

About: I have had pets of all kinds my whole life from hamsters to turtles to cats and my father later in life adopted dogs for me to care for when returning home. I started taking care of dogs when I was travelling for work in the USA through Trusted Housesitters with my partner. After having a child we have had fish, enjoy taking our friends' dogs for morning walks and cat-boarding for colleagues at work. I love living in Victoria and am lucky to live in a nice neighbourhood with big parks and nice walks. Walking is my favourite exercise and walking with company is the best! I am going to use the dog walking extra money to fundraise for my daughter's trip to DisneyLand this February 2027. I want to walk dogs in the morning before work and school for exercise and enjoy the early hours. I am also raising money to go on a trip to Disney Land. Having used Trusted Housesitters, I have stayed in other people's houses to care for their pets for up to a month. I also used to run an Airbnb with my partner so we could travel and have experience cleaning and taking care of the home with pets. I keep a clean and tidy home with my daughter, mostly to keep track of everything haha 😂 I have split level apartment at the top two floors of a house with open spaces and 2 bathrooms. I have a gated front patio and a giant dog park across the street. Lots of places to walk and enjoy the great weather of Victoria.

About: I grew up with at minimum 4 dogs at all times, ranging from Border collies, to Shepard mixes, to Jack Russell and fox terriers. I learned from a young age the best way to train dogs specific to their breeds and personalities and I have lots of experience caring for pups from the day they were born into old age. I understand the importance of exercise, routine and play for our furry friends. I say I have 7 years of experience caring for pets, but really it is 30+ years at this point, the 7 years comes from a boom in friends getting dogs and the beginning of me taking care of their pets when they go on vacation, have family/medical emergencies etc. I live less than a block from a park that is off-leash-optional (the park has a cute communal dog toy box also) and I live in a quiet neighbourhood where I can stroll with your pup on-leash for exercise if that is preferred. I also carry my own pups to designated off leash areas where they can run forest trails with me, or just hike around. Depending on your pups needs and what you and I discuss, play/exercise time for your pup may involve all three. My home has a fenced in back yard which is great for toilet breaks and serves as a play area also, if your pup is so inclined :) I have two pups of my own, a Border Collie and a Wire Haired Griffon, both friendly gals, the Border Collie is becoming a senior gal and generally pays no attention to other dogs past an introductory sniff, the Griffon is 4 years old and loves to play if your pup is willing, if not, no issues, she is not forceful in anyway. I can say with confidence that your pups will be in safe hands,well taken care of and loved while I am looking after them. I work a flexible schedule from my home office. My doggy caring day typically starts with at least a 30 - 40 min neighbour hood walk before 8:00 am. Backyard toilet and exercise breaks around 10:00. 30 - 40 min neighbourhood/park lunch walk around noon. More toilet/stretch the legs breaks around 2:00. Off-leash Forest walk around 4:30/5:00 (Or on-leash depending on the pup, and if a forest walk doesn't suit, then more time in the beautiful neighbourhood often heading to a larger fenced in municipal park about 10 mins walk away) Obviously, meals are given as per your pups schedule and lots of treats throughout the day (unless you tell me not to) I have a fully fenced in back yard, with two friendly pups for company for your pup. The house itself is very dog friendly, pups are allowed onto the couch, but not the beds or other furniture. There are many dog beds in various rooms for pooches to sleep in as they wish. When walking/exercising your dog, I will only walk your dog on-leash in the neighborhood and in any area that is not well fenced in. If your dog is reactive, timid, has any health concerns we can discuss and I will be sure to adjust my routine around those needs. I will do exactly what you ask of me when it comes to feeding, play, keeping your pup on-leash, treats etc. Should the unlikely happen and I need to bring your dog to a vet unexpectedly, I will have your contact details, your vets contact details and I live within 5 mins drive of the emergency vet hospital. Your pup will be well looked after.
