About: 5+ years of hands-on experience and dedication to providing thoughtful care for every pet. I have cared for puppies, dogs, and cats by house-sitting, walking dogs, feeding pets, giving medications and vitamins, cleaning litter boxes, and keeping pets comfortable and happy. I understand that every pet has unique needs, and I always strive to provide reliable, loving care. I work remotely and can walk your pets in the early afternoons, evenings, and weekends. I can house-sit on occasion if we come to a mutual agreement! I provide loving, personalized care, follow routines, ensure fresh water, exercise, playtime, medication if needed, and keep pets safe, comfortable, and happy. Customizable to you!
“Highly recommend Robin! Her detailed updates and communication gave me such a peace of mind being away from my cat on a last minute work trip. I’m grateful for all her help and care with Jim while I was away, and cannot recommend her enough! Thank you Robin!”

About: Hi there! I’m Nick, and I am a lifelong animal lover. I believe every pet animal deserves a safe, fun, and engaging experience. Whether it’s a long walk in the neighborhood, a hike on the trails, or just some quality backyard playtime, I’m dedicated to keeping your pet happy and tired! I am reliable, punctual, and—most importantly—patient. I know how important it is to have peace of mind when you’re away, so I prioritize clear communication and frequent updates. I look forward to giving your pet the attention and exercise they need while you’re busy. I just moved to Victoria BC and have lots of free time, a flexible work schedule, and a bike to get around. I live alone and work from home as an instructor and researcher at a few universities. I wake up very early and love being outside as much as possible. I am keen to explore my surroundings, including parks! I have access to a vehicle too with advanced notice. I live in a small apartment in downtown Victoria with access to a rooftop pet care area and cleaning facilities. I am very mobile within a limited range that is accessible by bicycle. I have access to a vehicle if necessary with advanced notice.
About: I currently have a Sphynx (high maintenance cat breed with very specific needs) so I’m comfortable with tailored routines, diet restrictions, and reading an animal’s particular quirks.. I also grew up with dogs (multiple Border Collies) so I know the energy and exercise they need too. Whether your pet wants constant attention, space, or a specific routine, I adjust to what actually works for them :) I am currently working part time, so I have free time in my week and would love to drop in and take care of your animal(s). Typically I work Thursday-Saturday or Sunday, but am happy to accommodate as best I can if you need support during those days. In your home, I stick closely to their feeding schedule, walks, and any specific instructions, staying attentive to their comfort in their own environment throughout each visit. *I have a cat in my home, (2 bd duplex house). I am happy to have your pet stay in my home if they’re patient/friendly towards cats and my cat gets along with them -would need to discuss/meet & greet prior to me hosting*
About: I have always loved dogs and I've been lucky enough to have been around then my whole life. Over the years friends, family, neighbors have relied on me to look after their dogs. I'm currently taking some time from work, so my schedule is pretty flexible. In my free time when I'm not at home I'm outside, either at the beach or wandering in a park, so I dog would easily fit into my daily routines. When caring for pets, I prioritize their well-being, comfort, and routine to make sure that they feel safe and loved. Coming from having an anxious dog in the past, I pay close attention to their behavior and body language to ensure that everyone is feeling safe, calm, and happy.
About: I have had a cat my whole life and my friends and family have always had dogs that I’ve loved caring for! At home I have a mainecoon cat named Kiki. I have been taking care of these pets throughout my childhood. I also worked at an animal shelter in Ontario while I was in high school. I was responsible for educating prospective owners on our animals and ensuring they know how to properly care for them. I also took the dogs on walks, cleaned the facility and fed all the animals. This job was really important to me because I got to provide love and care for these animals that didn’t have homes or owners. Ever since moving to BC I have been wanting to get involved with animals in another way! I believe that my years of experience with animals makes me a great candidate to care for your special pet! I am currently a Behaviour Interventionist and Fitness Instructor in Victoria. Currently I am available anytime for house sitting and in the evenings for dog walking as well as during the day on weekends. I will only be offering care in my clients home as my apartment is not pet friendly. I plan to watch any pets I care for closely, ensuring that anytime they are outside they’re on a leash or in a protected fenced in area. After caring for my own pets for years I am also cautious about leaving food out that may be accessible and dangerous to pets.
About: With over five years of dedicated experience in animal care, including pet retail, I'm known as the "animal whisperer" for my calm and loving approach with all animals, even the most nervous pets. My lifelong passion for animals began with countless hours volunteering at shelters as a child and continued through my teen years at vet clinics. A highlight was a two-week volunteer experience with 127 sled dogs in the Yukon, an unforgettable adventure. This foundation, combined with three years of retail experience at a well-known pet company, has honed my skills in caring for both cats and dogs of all sizes. I pride myself on building strong bonds not only with pets, but with their owners too. Starting in August I will be available daily! For the time being I’m currently working Monday to Friday 8-4. Im available on weekdays in the evenings, and am flexible on the weekends! I’d love to help you out in any way possible. My "animal whisperer" reputation stems from fostering secure, loving environments. I gather crucial details for personalized care, maintain open communication for owner peace of mind, and ensure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and cherished. In the client’s home, I prioritize their routine and comfort. I meticulously follow feeding/medication schedules, use secure leashes, and can provide regular updates with photos. My calm demeanor helps nervous pets. I respect your home, ensuring security and cleanliness.
“Diane saved my butt! She did a fabulous job looking after my cat Reggie. I booked with her rather last minute, but she was available and attentive right away. She made time to feed, hang out and play with Reggie and then sent me lots of photo updates, even of him taking a bite of his food. That was really nice reassurance that I didn’t have to ask for. So pleased with Diane’s help - would be comfortable having her in my home again in the future. Thank you Diane!”

About: I have raised 2 dogs of my own, ranging from puppy to senior, both of whom fell on the high-maintenance side of the spectrum whether that be health issues, separation anxiety, or behaviour issues. I have honed my dog-mom skills over the years to a point where I feel confident I could look after just about any four legged friend with care and attentiveness. I work from home most days and walking is one of my all time favourite pass-times, so a dog fits into my lifestyle seamlessly. I can provide any level of communication during my rover window -- whether that be frequent photos and check-ins or a more hands-off approach. I'm flexible around logistics and specific needs so let's chat :) I'm available for boarding any time (aside from 8am to 5pm on Tuesdays). I just need an internet connection. I will make sure to abide by perimeters around maximum time left alone on weekends. I take safety extremely seriously. I'll make sure to match whatever the safety climate your pet is accustomed to (e.g. not leave any food out that could be ninja-ed off the counters etc)
About: Hi, I’m Mia! I’ve always been the go‑to dog person for friends and family, and now I’m excited to bring that same care to pups here in Victoria. I'm skilled in training, so puppies or dogs with behavioral issues are no problem. I love routine just as much as a dog, and genuinely love getting to know each dog’s unique personality. :) I work from home, allowing me to offer high availability, quick responses, and attentive care throughout the day. I can commute to you easily or offer my home for sitting. I live in a residential area perfect for walking, and there is a dog beach close by! I have had dogs stay with me, and I have also gone to them to stay in their environment. I have a car to come to you easily.
“Adria is wonderful! Great communication and very thoughtful in ensuring she knew all she needed about my cats. I appreciated the photos and notes, and my cats were both happy when I got home. Thanks, Adria!”

“Ava was fantastic! She was so easy to book with and accommodating. Nala loved her, and it was clear Ava spent quality time with her. She kept us updated on how Nala was doing and sent some great pictures. Anyone would be lucky to hire Ava to take care of their pets; she deeply cares about animals, and our (grumpy senior cat) Nala can't wait to have her back. Thank you Ava!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Victoria
Really great experience. Angela and Gabriel were wonderful with our 1.5-year-old dog, Jarvis! He is incredibly affectionate and full of energy, and they did an amazing job handling his excitement while making him feel comfortable and cared for. They were patient, attentive, and clearly experienced with energetic dogs. We felt confident leaving Jarvis with them and would absolutely trust them to watch him again. We highly recommend Angela and Gabriel to anyone looking for kind, reliable dog sitters!

This review is for the series of 'get-to-know-you' drop-ins Gwynn and I scheduled before I was away for a week that they helped with. My pup is very barky right now and it can be intimidating for some people, but Gwynn and I managed to move through this phase with intention and ease. My little Luga quickly warmed to Gwynn, and after only a couple of brief visits together Luga quickly learned that it is in fact a very HAPPY occasion to see Gwynn ;) This phase of the relationship-building between Gwynn and Luga was a bit anxiety-inducing for me, but Gwynn is so professional and experienced and compassionate and in command of energies that everything went according to plan, and I could not be more grateful for it. Thank you, Gwynn!!!!! <3

Thomas was great with Vesper! He was very timely with his visits and I appreciated that he sent some pictures and kept me up to date on what our pup was up to! He even came over to meet her and get a feel for the routine the day before! Will definitely be booking again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
