“Bianca cared for our pup Roots for 5-sleeps over the holidays! It was a big deal for us as we hadn’t ever left him that long before. Bianca is a great communicator and put us at ease knowing that he was being well loved and cared for. She is very responsible and conscientious in every way. We appreciated her attention to detail & big heart. A big thank you from all of us :)”

“Our senior dog, Indy, had an amazing time with Kelsey and her family. From the photos we got she fit right in with the family, and we appreciate how well they took care of her.”

“Andrea and her family took great care of our Loki for a week, following the care instructions we provided and sending us frequent updates and photos. We felt Loki was in great hands, we would not hesitate to recommend her and book with her again if we are ever in need again in Victoria!”

“Kaori takes such excellent care of our pup Sophie! Our dog loves staying with Kaori and her dog Mia, and we really appreciate the photo updates! We can relax knowing Sophie is being so well loved and cared for. Highly recommend Kaori!”

“Kevin and Kayla were an amazing fit for my dog Bueller, they were quick communicators and Bueller loved sunbathing on their patio. He came back healthy and happy and had clearly been given lots of love while we were away. Would book with them again in a heartbeat!”

“Ella had a fun time with Criofan. She was happy to leave me and play with the other dogs on the property and she was happy at pick up time. Criofan was easy to deal with. She responded to texts promptly and eagerly set up a meet and greet time beforehand. She sent me photos to show what Ella was doing while under her care. If your dog likes lots of space and other dogs to play with then this could be a place for them!”

“Chris and Amy were awesome! It was the first time I had left my 5 month old puppy with anyone overnight so I had no idea how it was going to go, but they were amazing with her. They took her on lots of adventures and sent lots of video and pic updates with helped put me at ease. I would 100% leave Juno with them again.”

“Alex was super flexible with drop off and pick up arrangements, offered a pre-stay tour, and was conscientious about our dog’s needs. Our dog was very calm and contented when we picked her up, looked like she was enjoying herself in regular photo updates, and I know she’ll enjoy visiting with Alex again on our next trip :). Thanks for the care and attention you provided to Bailey, Alex and S!”

“Alisa did me a huge favour by watching my dog, Mylo overnight so that my partner and I could attend our friend’s going away party. She provided excellent care for my dog, took him on nice walks, and sent very cute photos and text updates so I knew my pet was in good hands. I highly recommend Alisa to care for your dog if you are in search of pet care now or in the future.”

“Amelia and Thomas were great guardians for my border collie Seeka! They watched him for a few nights and gave me regular updates and pictures, which I really appreciated. Seeka seemed to get along great with their pup Biscuit as well. Amelia and Thomas were easy to communicate with and they made the whole process seamless. I hope to have them sit Seeka again this summer while on the island”

“Heather and her family were amazing with our maltipoo. Due to his recent neck injury, we were looking for someone who didn't have a pet in their home. We didn't want him to get into "rough play" with another furry peer. He had a great stay, and he got to go out and about with the family. We appreciated the photos that Heather sent and the specific details in her messages. We knew by what she said that she understood our little guy's temperament and personality. We feel our senior dog was truly loved and cared for, and we have made another booking with Heather for an upcoming trip. We found her to be flexible, and she was open to us dropping by before he boarded to meet with her and her family. This gave us a great sense of the home and Heather's philosophy of pet care.”

“Andiara took care of my senior dog Tobias. She was wonderful! She send daily updates and was always making sure Tobias felt like home. I definitely recommend Andiara she gave lots of love to Tobias and he had a great time.”

“Stephanie was amazing with my dog, Olive! Her two dogs were so well-behaved and got along great with Olive. She kept me updated throughout the stay, sent me adorable pictures, and made me feel completely at ease. I could tell Olive was happy and well cared for. We will definitely be using Stephanie again in the future. Thank you so much!”

“This is the second time boarding with Monica and the second five star review! I can't say enough great things about her care for my large pup, Hank always enjoys his time there, she sends lots of updates and pictures and he comes home happy and tired. Thank you Monica!”

“I highly recommend Vicky! My friend unfortunately lost my dog a few years ago and I've been incredibly nervous to leave her with anyone since and was dreading this trip. Right from first message Vicky seemed really sweet and responsive and even more so in person. After meeting her and seeing how sweet she is with her own dogs and where Rosie would be I completely stopped worrying! While away I received some smiley pics of my happy girl who looked like she was having a great time and everything went perfectly! Vicky will always be my first choice for pet sitting and I'd never hesitate to book again. Thank you Vicky! :)”

“Lauren’s extensive experience with pet care (including experience working in a vet hospital) set my mind at ease when I needed to find a somewhat last minute sitter for my dog Ollie, who’s in his senior years and has a sensitive little system. She was amazing with Ollie and sent lots of updates and adorable photos during their time together. I would absolutely book with Lauren again!”

“Daisy and family were great with Lucas! Daisy offered time for a meet and greet beforehand which was helpful. Lucas seemed to have a great time and he was cared for well. We’d happily recommend Daisy. Thanks for taking great care of Lucas!”

“Christine and their family were so great with my anxious, and very large dog. They were so accommodating to her needs and preferences. They took her for lots of walks and swims at the lake. Thank you for taking such good care of my pup.”

We had such a wonderful experience! Shravistha was incredibly flexible with scheduling and always so accommodating. Both she and her husband took amazing care of Alfie and treated her like she was part of their own family. Communication was excellent throughout the entire stay. She always replied to my messages promptly and kept me updated with photos and videos, which gave me so much peace of mind. It was obvious that Alfie was happy, comfortable, and truly well cared for. Shravistha is warm, kind, and genuinely loves dogs. Knowing Alfie was with her allowed us to completely relax while we were away. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter!

Could not recommend Alana enough! I have a hard time leaving my dog with people as she is high energy and can having a hard time settling in with sitters. All my concerns were eased after my dogs stay with Alana. Socks settled right in and had the best time! Alana was great at sending updates, she sent multiple pictures and videos throughout the stay. She also took my dog on lots of adventures- she came back home tired and happy. Socks will be coming back to her next time I need a sitter without a doubt!

Kathy was great with Moose! She clearly cares a lot about dogs and is very good with them. She introduced him to some new treats and took him on lots of outings with her other pooches. She sent lots of photos and it was clear Moose was having a great time. Highly recommended!

Lisa was fantastic with Artemis! She was on time, and clearly gave Artemis great care; regular walks kept her active and happy. What really stood out was Lisa noticing when we were running low on dog food and offering to pick up more in case we were running late. She also gave us multiple touchpoints throughout our trip, which we appreciated. We highly recommend Lisa to anyone looking for a reliable, caring dog sitter!

Thanks Ida, for taking such great care of our dog Cedar! We received many lovely photos and updates, and Cedar came home happy and tired from all of her outdoor adventures with Ida and her pup Nala. We would highly recommend Ida to anyone looking for safe, dependable care.

Christy was wonderful with our dog. It was our first time leaving her with a dogsitter, and we were nervous because she has a lot of puppy energy still (she is one). But Christy was lovely, she sent regular updates and photos, and our dog came home so happy. I would absolutely recommend Christy! She is warm, quick to reply, and professional. Thank you so much!

Stacey and Izzy are awesome! We have 2 Mexican rescue dogs with mobility challenges and some behaviour issues, which require consistent calm yet firm attention and assistance up and down stairs. Stacey and Izzy knew exactly what to do without me having to say anything. Stacey bought a carpet for her house to help my dog walk so that her back legs don’t slide all around. Izzy was generous and shared her bed 😊Through the daily videos and pictures, it was evident that my dogs were comfortable, well cared for and they trusted Stacey. Our older dog, who does not show her belly to anyone, clearly trusted Stacey by freely presenting and enjoying a belly rub. Thank you Stacey and Izzy ❤️

We had a wonderful experience with Suzanne while we were away for 10 days. She sent us plenty of photos and updates, which gave us great peace of mind and let us follow along with all of our dog’s fun adventures. Our dog came home happy, relaxed, and clearly very well cared for. We would happily book with her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
