“Chantal was amazing with my dog. She had a hard time with new people but Chantal was calm and great and my dog warmed up very nicely. The house was left clean which was a huge relief 😅”

“She is a very good listener, communicated well & gave our senior cat meds, feel very comfortable having her stay at our house to care for our cat with special needs, highly recommend!”

“Grant and Kate were great pet sitters. Firstly, they arrived on time when they said they would, which allowed us to get to the ferry stress free. They were responsive, read the pet briefs beforehand, and left us feeling confident they could handle our pet's various medications while we were away- which they did. They kept us updated regularly while we were away. When we returned the pets were all sleeping contentedly and the house was clean, calm, and orderly, which is a big thing when you have four pets in less than 600 square feet. Highly recommend Grant and Kate as pet sitters.”

“Elena is so wonderful with our three dogs (including a high energy 5 month old puppy)! You can trust that your pets will be well loved and well cared for by Elena. We’re looking forward to having her back the next time we go away. Thanks Elena!”

About: Please note I can NOT take dogs over 15” at the shoulder. If your dog is under 15" at the shoulder I can take them even if they weigh 35 lbs. Thanks for understanding. Also my rate is $55 but ROVER charges you 11% on top of my rate. Plus they take 20% of whatever is booked. Thought you should know :) Now on to the profile. I honestly love animals. I sometimes ask my friends to come over, just so I can hang out with their dogs. (my friends are okay with this) I'm well versed in giving dogs and cats their medication orally, or mixed in with food. I don't give needles. All of my dogs, except one lived to ripe old ages and I am well versed in dealing with mobility issues, deafness, blindness and incontinence. I love animals of all ages and I truly believe each stage of their life enhances ours. I have dealt with foster dogs with PTSD and I'm well aware how slow movements and soft voices are highly important to make a pet feel comfortable. I've taken a few dogs from vicious to cuddle bug in my time. Yes, some of them took months, but in the end, they learned to trust. All they need is love, patience and the time to destress and learn that not every human will hurt them. That being said, I'm not up for sitting a reactive dog at this time. I understand that your pets will need to approach me, not the other way around. Of course I will try to coax them to come to me, but if they don't, I'm okay with that. I simply want to give care to animals and get their companionship, if only for a short time, in return. I am semi-retired and work from home. As I have a fenced yard, I can easily accommodate small and medium sized dogs. I may have to go out for an hour here and there, but, for the most part, I am home. I have a fenced yard for dogs. Sorry - no cats at this time. If your dog is crate trained, they can stay in my bedroom with me in the crate, or if they are completely housetrained, they can even snuggle on the bed if that is your preference. When looking after pets in your home, I will follow their routine, as advised by you.
“Val was such a warm person! They provided nice little updates each day and we could see how Stella was quick to be a couch buddy once she knew she was safe. Val seemed comfortable and knowledgeable about Stella's needs - asked lots of great questions. We left for our trip feeling absolutely confident. We also came back to the home being in perfect condition. Thanks, Val!”

About: I offer personalized, loving care for your pets, ensuring that they feel safe, happy, and loved while you're away. I am reliable, experienced, and detail-oriented. I work virtually on a part-time basis, so I'll always be available to give your pets the attention and care they need while you're away. I prioritize your pets' safety by keeping their environment secure and ensuring I have all the info on food allergies, behavior around other animals, and preferences.
About: I grew up with dogs (golden retrievers and a papillon) for 23 years, I love every dog I see, so dog care is definitely my thing. I am very accustomed to all types of dog behaviour, walking, feeding, giving medication, itchy paw care, and all other pet care associated with dogs. I'm a well seasoned dog caretaker and am very familiar with many types of challenges and hyper puppies. I currently do not have a day job, so I am very able to be a hands-on caretaker to your pet. Walking, feeding, and attentiveness are my main priority. The best way to make sure your pets feel safe, trusting, and comfortable is for me to continue on the daily routine they tend to follow. I'm very familiar with having to separate animals in different rooms, gates, stairs, feeding schedules and walking times. The best way I can give the utmost care for your companion is if you tell me exactly what you'd appreciate in terms of caretaking from me and I will make sure I do it exactly how you'd like in a way that is comfortable for you and you pet!
About: I’ve been a dog and cat sitter since high school, first sitting for family and friends and now doing it as a side job as well as while travelling. I have experience with dogs of all sizes, and cats of all temperaments. Open to most areas of Victoria, and have a reliable vehicle to get to and from sits, and take dogs out for nice walks in the parks or hiking trails of the area. Please feel free to reach out for any details or scheduling questions. I currently work full time 9-5, so am primarily available for stop in care or overnights with cats and other lower maintenance animals comfortably with being home for a work day. I am available for dogs and multiple walks a day on weekends only. I am only available for care in the pets/clients home as my building is pet-free. I am very trustworthy as I have plenty of past experience in others homes both as a pet sitter and house cleaner. And my current day job requires regular criminal record checks to come back clean.
“Great communication overall and followed through with all requests. Stayed with our dog overnight in our home and he was a happy pup when we returned. Thank you so much for looking after Murphy!”

“Sofia took excellent care of our cat and house while we were out of town. She is responsive, conscientious, and kept us up to date with photos. I think our cat liked her too! Would definitely recommend!”

“Silvia and Andrea were FANTASTIC! Our dogs loved them, we felt completely safe with our girls in their hands, and they saved us when our connecting flight was cancelled and we had to ask them to stay an extra day. You can tell they really care about animals. Our next vacation will be booked around their schedule!”

“Kate took amazing care of both Hilde and Tony while we were away for a long weekend. She made sure they were loved and cared for and we truly appreciate her. Also, our home was super clean and the garden was watered and thriving upon our return. We highly recommend Kate and will definitely be reaching out to her again.”

“Cassandra took great care of our fur babies. She was easy to talk to and coordinate with, she sent us lots of updates while we were away. I felt our dogs were well cared for for and I recommend her to you!”

Victoria pet parents share their Rover experiences
Maddy was wonderful with River. She was reliable, communicative, and clearly cared about making sure he felt comfortable and well looked after. I appreciated the updates and photos, and it gave me real peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands. River seemed happy and relaxed when I got home, which says a lot. I would absolutely recommend Maddy to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy dog walker or sitter.

Angela really put me at ease leaving my dog Ghost for the first time using Rover. She not only was so warm and friendly with him, but sent me update photos on my trip away to reassure me he was feeling happy and comfortable :) She is super communicative and kind. She was also very accommodating by staying at my home where he was more comfortable, which was above and beyond. Thank you so so much Angela for caring for Ghost!

We couldn't be happier with our experience! Maddie took wonderful care of our cats and Golden Retriever while we were away for over a week. She provided daily updates and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind and allowed us to truly enjoy our trip knowing our pets were happy, safe, and well cared for. It was clear from the updates that she spent quality time with them, paid attention to their individual personalities, and made sure everyone felt comfortable and loved. We came home to relaxed, content pets and a spotless house. We would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and dependable pet sitter.

Gwynn was the most purrrrfect hooman to help me out during a long work trip and I cannot THANK them and RECOMMEND them enough, genuinely. My pup is very much in the learning (and being loud, and being scared) stages and Gwynn is a *very* calm and compassionate doggy guardian. I felt incredibly at ease trusting my pup was in good hands. Gwynn is also a very knowledgeable dog handler and even helped me work through some puppy problems with their astute observations and recommendations. I will be lucky if Gwynn gets to care for Luga again <3 Thank you for everything you did to help us out!!!

Sonya did an amazing job watching our dog, Koda for our recent trip away. She sent a ton of photos (she could easily be a pro pet photographer) and we could tell Koda felt loved, safe and happy. It meant the world to know our girl was in good hands. I’d highly recommend Sonya to anyone looking for someone to take care of their fur babies!

Rae was so great. She provided lots of picture updates, was quick with communication, and went above and beyond to meet Louis’ needs. He is a shy dog with a history of reactivity, and he immediately warmed up to her. She also left my place in immaculate condition. I would highly recommend her for anyone’s pet care needs!

Can't say enough amazing things about Michaella! Wish I could give her infinity star rating! She was so communicative from the start and was incredibly reliable and sweet. Our fur babies loved her so much, and she went above and beyond making sure our home was tidy when we came back from our weekend away. Would absolutely have her back!

Eugene is by far the best pet sitter we’ve ever had for our senior cat, Duke. Duke is high-maintenance due to his heart condition and daily medications, and Eugene went above and beyond to make both Duke and us feel completely comfortable while we were away. He took exceptional care of Duke, kept us updated, and treated our home with so much respect — we came back to a spotless house and a very happy, relaxed cat. Knowing Duke was in such capable and caring hands gave us real peace of mind. Because of Eugene, we were finally able to visit family members we hadn’t seen in over a year without worrying about Duke’s care. We are incredibly grateful for Eugene’s kindness, professionalism, and dedication, and we would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter.

Highly recommend Polina! First time entrusting Letty with someone she's never met and on very short notice due to a family emergency. Polina put me at ease with her calm energy and immediate comfort around Letty. She provided regular updates and great photos on various walks around the neighbourhood. Came back to a very happy, chill Letty and home.

We've entrusted Eve many times now to look after our two not so little dogs in our home. They absolutely love her and I can rest easy when I'm away because I know they're in good hands. She's also a very considerate house guest. We feel lucky to have found her. Thanks Eve!

Leaving a very senior dog with someone new can be stressful, but Kristen made the whole experience so much easier. From the beginning, she was warm, kind, and super communicative, which really helped put my mind at ease. She kept us updated with lots of photos and videos while we were away, and it was so reassuring to see how comfortable and happy our dog was with her. Our dog also liked her instantly at the meet and greet, which says a lot. You can tell Kristen genuinely cares about the animals she looks after. On top of that, she treated our home with so much respect and left everything spotless when we returned. We’re so grateful for the care she gave our dog and would absolutely trust her to look after him again without hesitation.
