“We were so fortunate to have Karen house and pet sit for us while we were away on holiday. From the start she was punctual, communicative and very kind. She took such great care of our cat and puppy and it was clear they were both super happy and comfortable with her. We loved receiving all the updates and pictures, it made being away so much easier knowing they were in good hands. The house was spotless when we returned and we could tell she goes above and beyond in her caretaking and has a genuine love and connection with animals. We would absolutely love to use Karen again and highly recommend her. Thank you Karen!”

“Miranda is a nice dog sitter. She was nice from our first communication. She texted me and sent some pictures of my dogs! I was so happy to see how my dogs were doing. I will recommend Miranda to any dog parents! Thank you, Miranda,”

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life and being around them is something I genuinely love. I can’t wait to meet and care for your furry best friends! Pet care fits really naturally into my routine! I work casual as an outreach worker which means I’m always out and about in the community and driving around, so stopping by for walks, drop-ins, or cuddles fits in easily. I have a pretty flexible schedule and can usually adjust my day to make sure your pet gets the care and attention they need. The only exception is Mondays and Tuesdays, when I’m completing my practicum and am available in the evenings only. Hanging out and caring for animals is something that adds so much joy to my day, so please feel free to reach out :) When I’m caring for pets in their own homes, I do my best to keep everything feeling familiar and easy for them, same routines, same comfy spots, same happy walks. Whether it’s feeding, giving meds, getting them outside for some exercise, or just hanging out for a bit of company, I make sure they feel safe and cared for. I totally get that it can feel nerve-racking to have someone new look after your pet, I’ve used Rover myself for my cats, so I know how much trust it takes! I always treat your pets like my own and keep you updated so you can actually relax while you’re away!
About: Have had dogs and cats all my life, helped others with their pet care. A relative is a professional dog trainer and I have learned from her about disciplining dogs in a loving way. I am semi-retired and am not working at the moment so I have a lot of flexibility with my time. I am physically active and like to go for walks. My home is available for pets and besides myself the only people here are gentle with all pets. I am also available to go to client’s homes.
“Amber was incredible! I have a Great Dane that struggles with anxiety and Amber had no problem navigating this. She has experience with anxious animals and providing medications. She provided great updates, and was easy to reach if needed. Will definitely use ambers services again in the future!”

“Lukas took excellent care of our dog and our home. He quickly befriended Lucy, our large, shy, senior dog. While we were away he sent dog pictures daily., He also left the house as clean as or maybe even cleaner than we left it. We are grateful for the peace of mind he gave us, and we highly recommend Lukas for dog and house sitting.”

“Darcie is an incredibly kind and caring young lady. She treated our timid pup with all the gentleness we could hope for! She had our wee girl’s tail wagging in no time! They went for a forest walk and played puppy games both outside and in the house. She thoughtfully sent us an update with a picture so we would know Sophie was doing okay while we were away. It was such a pleasure to meet Darcie - I know we will be asking her to watch our pup again!”

“Kaitlyn is incredible. Right from the start, her communication was great. She offered to come by for a meet and greet and was very accommodating to our busy schedule. She went above and beyond caring for our dog, taking him out for long walks and park sessions. She was even able to stay later when we realized we wouldn't be home on time. She left our home very clean and sent us tons of pictures while we were away. We highly recommend Kaitlyn and hope to have her take care of our dog again soon!”

“Jason is a very pleasant individual, accommodating, and on time, not to mention how well he gets on with our pup, and looked after her like we do ourselves. We will definitely call in Jason again when we are back in town.”

“Maia was our first Rover pet sitter and we couldn’t have been happier with her. She kept us updated all weekend about their activities. She sent us pictures of their adventures. And our house was clean and tidy when we returned! Would definitely book again.”

About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs my whole life and have years of experience helping my partner with dog-sitting. I’m patient, reliable, and love spending time with all kinds of dogs — from energetic puppies to calm seniors. I offer in-home dog sitting, dog boarding at your place or mine, and daily walks. Whether your pup needs playtime, cuddles, or just someone to keep them company, I’ll make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I currently work full-time from 7:30 AM to 4 PM, so I can care for dogs who are comfortable being alone during that time. I’m fully available on weekends to spend the whole day with them. My partner, does dog-sitting full time and is available several days a week to help care for your pups if needed. She usually walks the pups on the days that I am working. 🌿 A calm and safe environment for your pups I have a fenced yard where dogs can stretch their legs safely, but I also love going for walks several times a day so they can explore and get plenty of exercise. The atmosphere at home is calm and caring — perfect for dogs who like to feel comfortable and relaxed. If your dog is used to being in a crate, that’s totally fine too — I’m happy to follow their routine so they feel right at home. 🐾
“Catharine took great care of Maggie and Mabel. The pets loved her. Catharine kept us updated with photos regularly and responded quickly. Our house was left spotless, she was friendly and was respectful. We would definitely book her again. She’s the best!”

“Amy did a fantastic job looking after our senior dog and cat. Both animals are higher needs including daily medication, all which Amy handled perfectly. We were a bit nervous leaving the animals with someone new, but we needn’t had worried as they were both very relaxed and content when we got home. Amy made sure to give us regular updates, which helped put our minds at ease. The house was neat and tidy upon our arrival. We definitely will hire Amy again and highly recommend her.”

About: Please note I can NOT take dogs over 15” at the shoulder. If your dog is under 15" at the shoulder I can take them even if they weigh 35 lbs. Thanks for understanding. Also my rate is $55 but ROVER charges you 11% on top of my rate. Plus they take 20% of whatever is booked. Thought you should know :) Now on to the profile. I honestly love animals. I sometimes ask my friends to come over, just so I can hang out with their dogs. (my friends are okay with this) I'm well versed in giving dogs and cats their medication orally, or mixed in with food. I don't give needles. All of my dogs, except one lived to ripe old ages and I am well versed in dealing with mobility issues, deafness, blindness and incontinence. I love animals of all ages and I truly believe each stage of their life enhances ours. I have dealt with foster dogs with PTSD and I'm well aware how slow movements and soft voices are highly important to make a pet feel comfortable. I've taken a few dogs from vicious to cuddle bug in my time. Yes, some of them took months, but in the end, they learned to trust. All they need is love, patience and the time to destress and learn that not every human will hurt them. That being said, I'm not up for sitting a reactive dog at this time. I understand that your pets will need to approach me, not the other way around. Of course I will try to coax them to come to me, but if they don't, I'm okay with that. I simply want to give care to animals and get their companionship, if only for a short time, in return. I am semi-retired and work from home. As I have a fenced yard, I can easily accommodate small and medium sized dogs. I may have to go out for an hour here and there, but, for the most part, I am home. I have a fenced yard for dogs. Sorry - no cats at this time. If your dog is crate trained, they can stay in my bedroom with me in the crate, or if they are completely housetrained, they can even snuggle on the bed if that is your preference. When looking after pets in your home, I will follow their routine, as advised by you.
“She is a very good listener, communicated well & gave our senior cat meds, feel very comfortable having her stay at our house to care for our cat with special needs, highly recommend!”

“Sara-Maude was really good with both our cat and dog. She took her time to let them get used to her as they can be fearful of strangers. She sent updates and pictures daily. Would definitely recommend-hire in the future!”

Trina has watched our pups a number of times and I have nothing but great things to say. She was able to ease my (very stressed) mind about leaving our very senior dog for a week and took great care of both dogs and all of their special needs. We got lots of photo updates and were able to actually relax on vacation knowing they were being loved. Highly recommend and will absolutely book with her again. Thanks Trina!
10000% recommend Alyssa! She was punctual, fantastic at communicating/updating, and on overall great human. Our 9 month shepherd husky is a large puppy and she handled him with complete ease and confidence. We were so happy with his thorough care and can't wait to book Alyssa again soon. Our dog loves her!

Darcie was fantastic with our reactive German Shepherd dog and cat. Darcie took the time to get to know our pets and was very professional throughout the process. She did a fantastic job during her stay and went above and beyond our expectations. We are first time users to Rover and we will definitely be having Darcie take care of our girls again without hesitation! Thanks Darcie

Pat did an excellent job of house sitting and taking care of our little dog "Cocoa". She sent frequent updates, with photos, of Cocoa activities to show how well she was getting along with us gone for two weeks. When we got home our house was clean and neat and Cocoa as the happy little dog that we had left in Pat's care. We would recommend her for taking care of anyone's pets. Thank you.

Highly, highly recommend! Amber was our first experience on Rover and our first time having our puppy watched by someone external. She was nothing short of amazing with our big pup who clearly adored her and wanted her to stay. Amazing communication! I will rebook again and again!

Amy is incredible. Our doggie truly feels like he is on his own vacation whenever he stays with her. We have complete peace of mind knowing he is in such capable hands, and we always look forward to the frequent photo updates she sends. We cannot recommend her services enough!
