“Dominique helped me out at last minutes notice when a prior booking fell through, and did more than enough to make my dog comfortable and me not stressed out. Great communication, quick responses, and plenty of photos of the dog as well as a very kind gift for him as well. Highly recommend! Thank you again Dominique. -Gus ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Hope has been great with Charlie! He's an older guy and needs someone who is incredibly patient with his old man moods and days when he just wants to be slow. On days when Hope walks him, he is extra excited when we get home from work and I can tell he loves the added attention mid-day. We love having Hope walk Charlie, and I think Charlie would agree.”
“Vanessa was punctual and had awesome communication! She sent me update photos of our dog Grizzly on his walk and he is tuckered out now! Will definitely be booking with her again to take grizz for another adventure!🐾”

“Paulina is a stellar dog walker!! She took such great care of our golden over the weekend. Paying attention to the detail of her needs and quirks, sending photos and little reports after each encounter, not to mention her sweet nature is an added bonus. I would trust Paulina to care and walk our Georgia again and highly recommend to anyone.”

“Jason did an awesome job with our big dog. She was so excited to see him and came home very happy and well exercised after their walk. Our dog has some behavioural issues and so we are very picky about who we can trust her with. Definitely would have no reservations about having Jason care for her again.”

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was 12, I have trained all 5 of my own dogs. I believe every animal needs all the best care! I have been reliable for walking and taking care of many friends and families dogs/cats and always make sure they get all the love! I’m currently working part-time, I’m available all mornings/afternoons to walk/look after your pet. I’m also available on weekends for any boarding or walks to make sure your pet is always well taken care of! I have a fenced yard as well as a very friendly senior yorkie. I am very familiar with dogs of any size and high energy dogs as well as any crate training.
About: I have had animals my entire life and have been extremely involved in training and ensuring they get the best care possible! I have done a lot of dog training in reactivity, separation anxiety, and use positive reinforcement to ensure that the relationship between me and my pet(s) is built on love and trust. With every new pet, I let them approach me and I build a foundation of trust so that obedience is not something forced but given! I work part time but I have blocked out those days so that it won’t interfere, but other wise I work 7 hour shifts so if your pet is staying when I am working, they would have to be comfortable being home alone for those hours I care for my pets by using positive reinforcement and consistency. Consistency is key and is very beneficial for ensuring my pets can succeed in all aspects of their lives. I understand dog body language and know when to approach, let them be, or let them come to me. It’s about listening to boundaries, just like with us humans!
About: I’m a lifelong animal lover who grew up with family dogs and cats and, until recently, shared my life with two incredible dogs of my own. I was a Rover client for years and always appreciated the peace of mind it brought me. I’m excited to give back and spend time with your animals. We live in a house with a fenced yard and a dog door that can be blocked or open. I love being outside and going for walks, and I especially enjoy building trust through positive reinforcement and trick training. I’m most comfortable with small to medium-sized dogs, particularly those who walk well on leash. I’m also a nurse, which gives me a strong comfort level with administering medications , whether it’s an easy pill pocket or a more challenging situation. I’ve had experience giving medications to both cooperative and more anxious dogs, and I always approach it with patience and gentleness. Whether your dog needs a fun walk, some cuddles, or a bit of extra care, I’d love the chance to be there for them. I am a nurse with flexibility with my schedule. I have lots of free time during the day for dog walking and pet care. My flexible schedule allows me to give your pets the attention, exercise, and care they deserve whether it’s a mid-morning walk, afternoon playtime or all day company. I understand that every dog has their own unique personality, quirks, and routines. I’m happy to follow any specific instructions you provide to make sure your pup feels comfortable, safe, and cared for and keeps their routine.

I have a black lab that loves to play and is always looking for a new buddy. I live close to a fenced dog park and lots of dog friendly walking trails. About: I’ve been around dogs and cats my whole life. I grew up with 3 indoor cats and caring for my grandparents German Shepherds. I fostered many dogs and cats with my roommates in University, and worked at a Veterinary Hospital for 2+ years. I’ve rescued a senior dog from the SPCA (who since passed) and now have a 3.5yr Rottweiler. My schedule is extremely flexible and I can make myself available at anytime needed to provide care for your pets. A typical day with my dog consists morning potty, breakfast, long walk, indoor mental play time, supper, outside potty and more play time. It’s not uncommon to go for off-leash walks in a park. Another activity we enjoy is mental enrichment - either a mind game with treats or frozen kong. I have a condo in Westhills. There are many parks and trails nearby. I also have a SUV I use to take the dogs on adventures to the beach, hikes, etc. As for care in your home; I like to maintain whatever schedule you have!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Langford
I have been using Alyssa for months now and I cannot recommend her enough. She has been absolutely fantastic with my pup. She’s reliable, caring and very attentive. Her communication is excellent and she provides lots of photos and updates. She’s been very flexible and accommodation on scheduling. I know my dog lights up when she arrives. Her genuine love for animals is very obvious. One evening I was unable to answer my phone at work to let her into my building and after waiting for a while she left but came back at a later time to make sure he still got out. She definitely goes above and beyond. You’d be hard to find better!

Paulina is a great dog walker! She is very friendly, cares about the dogs safety and well-being and has been a great communicator. She sent me lots of pics of my happy pup during their time together and a really sweet report card. Paulina is very trustworthy and I feel my dog is in good hands with her. I highly recommend Paulina. 💕🦮🐾

Barbara has been wonderful with our puppy! We are so thankful to have her for walks and puppy playtime. She checks in on how our puppy is progressing with training so she can support whatever we are doing and keep things consistent for our puppy which is so important!!!

Jason did an awesome job with our big dog. She was so excited to see him and came home very happy and well exercised after their walk. Our dog has some behavioural issues and so we are very picky about who we can trust her with. Definitely would have no reservations about having Jason care for her again.

Addie and Bessie absolutely loved their walks with Laura! Laura is definitely one of the best - reliable, punctual and very capable with our 110lb puppy and our 30lb golden doodle, both with different temperaments. We look forward to being back in the neighborhood so we can walk with Laura again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Langford choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find walkers who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
