“Laura is a very confident, experienced walker. She has walked my very large breed dog with another dog and it was very successful. She is ready to take on a challenge and very knowledgeable and resourceful.”

About: I have always wanted to look after animals since I was a kid. My husband and I fostered rescue dogs in Alberta to help get adopted. I have also cared for a variety of small caged animals over the years. As your house sitter, I will be present in your home for the entire duration of the stay. This is great if your pup does not like to be left alone. I am able to administer simple medications if needed. I am also able to care for small caged animals in my own home and we can discuss this arrangement if you are needing this service. House/pet sitting is my priority. When you hire me, I will not need to leave your residence for other employment. This is great if your pup does not like to be left alone. I will care for your pets following the daily routine that you have already established for them. If the pets are used to a morning walk then I will take them on a morning walk if that is preferred. If your pets are happy to simply play in their yard while you are away I would be happy to do that as well. I usually like to arrange a short meet and greet prior to the first overnight stay to familiarize myself with your pets and their home.
About: Recently had to say goodbye to my baby girl of nearly 20yrs, missing her snuggles and purrs. I know how difficult it can be to leave your sweetheart(s) when you're away and would be honored to care for them and keep them company until you return. I always grew up with pets and have pet-sat for friends through my teens & adult years. Litter boxes, dog-poop patrol, medications or special diets - your furry friend will be well looked after! I'm self-employed and currently working part-time so my schedule is relatively flexible. If you live in Sooke, I can easily check in on your pup during the day and am free most evenings & weekends to get them out for walks and/adventures. I love hiking and exploring different trails. I'm only able to board cats at my place, they will be comfortable inside with windows to perch and watch the world go by or soak up some the warmth of the sun. I have a cat tree, scratching post and toys to keep them busy. I am available to dog-sit in your home or simply provide check-in visits, bathroom breaks, and walks. To start, tell my about your pet's usual routines and needs and I'll let you know how I can support that. Then we can discuss and see if I'm the right sitter for you 🙂
About: I’ve been around family pets my whole life, and always loved meeting the pets in my neighborhoods. I’ve looked after many dogs of all types, from all walks of life. I own and care for 3 disabled and elderly dogs in my family. I love to travel all across Greater Victoria, which means I can expand my services anywhere in Sooke, Langford and Victoria. I will find a way anywhere for families in need of a sitter. I have a monumental amount of free time. No school, no current physical job, rarely going to events, so I can dedicate plenty of time to your pets. I am not in college or currently employed, so I have plenty of time to look after your pets. During the day I am available between 7AM - 11PM. Schedule may vary slightly on weekend nights. I am available for overnights, separate from the times above. Not applicable as I will not do business inside of my home.
About: I’m 55, and a lifelong pet owner. I have two dog-friendly cats Octavia & Mario, and a sweet Chihuahua girl Bellamy. Having relied on pet sitters myself, I understand the importance of finding a trustworthy, responsible, and experienced sitter. Your pet's happiness, safety, and well-being are my top priorities. Whether it's catering to the needs of a senior dog, providing training for a lively puppy, or simply offering comfort and companionship, I approach each interaction with patience, compassion, and expertise. I take pride in maintaining the daily routines of the pets I care for, ensuring stability and comfort in their environment. Whether it's a home visit, doggy day care, or overnight stay in my home, your pet will receive personalized attention and plenty of love. ______________________________________________ ** Boarding (My home) - Dogs must be good with cats and not chase them.** ** House Sitting (Your home) - My Chihuahua comes with me. She’s quiet and very well-behaved.** ______________________________________________ Taking care of pets isn't just something I do on the side – it's my full-time job. I'm dedicated to them all day, every day. From morning to night, I focus on making sure they're well-fed, exercised, and content. Playing, cuddling, and giving them attention is what I do best because it's my passion and my only priority. With your pet's well-being in mind, I maintain a clean, pet-friendly space conducive to their needs. Whether it's ensuring secure fencing in my yard for outdoor play or utilizing safe and reliable equipment during walks, I take every precaution to keep your pet protected. Additionally, I adhere strictly to any dietary or medical requirements, administering medications if needed, and providing a calm and nurturing environment.
“We can’t recommend Vanessa highly enough! Our dog can be sensitive and requires some extra attention, and Vanessa has always been wonderful about carefully following our instructions and making sure our pup is comfortable and well cared for. She is extremely communicative, sends great photos and updates after walks, and is someone we completely trust. Knowing our dog is with Vanessa gives us real peace of mind. We’re so grateful to have found her and would gladly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog walker.”

“Etienne is awesome, he took care very well of Koa and Oliver. They were so happy after the walk. You can see that he loves dogs and understand them very much. Next time we come to Tofino we will definitely book him again.”

About: I have had animals my entire life and have been extremely involved in training and ensuring they get the best care possible! I have done a lot of dog training in reactivity, separation anxiety, and use positive reinforcement to ensure that the relationship between me and my pet(s) is built on love and trust. With every new pet, I let them approach me and I build a foundation of trust so that obedience is not something forced but given! I work part time but I have blocked out those days so that it won’t interfere, but other wise I work 7 hour shifts so if your pet is staying when I am working, they would have to be comfortable being home alone for those hours I care for my pets by using positive reinforcement and consistency. Consistency is key and is very beneficial for ensuring my pets can succeed in all aspects of their lives. I understand dog body language and know when to approach, let them be, or let them come to me. It’s about listening to boundaries, just like with us humans!

About: Animals have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve cared for and raised animals of all kinds, from puppies and rescue dogs to farm animals and small pets. My own rescue dog, Indigo, taught me so much about patience, compassion, and attentive care as I supported her through both IVDD and cancer. Through that experience, I became very comfortable with medication routines, mobility support, changing needs, and providing calm, loving care through every stage of an animal’s life. I’ve also raised puppies and lived on a farm where I regularly cared for large farm dogs and cats. Over the years, I’ve had experience caring for many different animals, including parrots, snakes, hamsters, fish, rabbits, and other small pets. I genuinely love getting to know each animal’s unique personality and needs, and I always strive to make them feel safe, understood, and cared for while their owners are away. I work from home and have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to give pets lots of attention, consistency, and care throughout the day. I’m also a very active person and usually spend hours outside walking every day, so I’d genuinely love some furry companionship along the way - whether your dog prefers long adventures, slower sniff walks, or lots of playtime and attention. I live in a detached home with a fully fenced backyard and no other animals in the home, creating a calm and safe environment for your pet. I take animal care very seriously and have always treated every pet - whether my own or someone else’s - with patience, attentiveness, and genuine love. I cared for my sweet dog Indigo through both IVDD and cancer, which gave me firsthand experience supporting animals with medical needs, mobility limitations, medication routines, and changing comfort levels. That experience taught me that every animal is unique, and I’m happy to adapt to their individual routines, personalities, and care needs to help them feel safe and comfortable.

I’ve dealt with shy and timid dogs, to aggressively not good with other animals or humans, and of course loving and super friendly dogs. Pets are my passion and I only have what’s best interest for them :) I have tons of references if wanted, I am super flexible and just happy to help with your furry family members. I am happy to just drop by and give a snuggle or out for a bathroom break, and I am also happy to stay at your home for as long as you need. I currently work part time, my job is flexible so I am able to check on the pets anytime during the day! I am always home by 3pm so plenty times for adventures and snuggles! I am very attentive to pets needs, I love playtime, snuggles, and adventures! I live by lots of trails and beaches perfect for the Adventurous pups!
About: Hello! My name is Isabella and I’m originally from Mexico. I’ve grown up in a home surrounded by dogs, which sparked my lifelong passion for caring for animals. I just graduated from Ecology at Thompson Rivers University and I’m also an active volunteer at local animal shelters. These experiences have deepened my understanding of animal behaviour and well being. I have over 7 years of experience as a dog walker and pet sitter, working with a wide range of breeds—from small, energetic pups to larger, strong dogs like Labradors. My top priority is always the well-being, safety, and happiness of your pet. I love going for long walks, playing, and making sure each pet feels loved and secure in my care. I am happy to look after your dog in your home to ensure the health and safety of all animals I look after. I’m excited to meet your furry friend and promise to keep you updated with photos and videos while you're away! Pet care fits perfectly into my routine as I have all weekdays and weekend free. As a recent graduate, I am currently looking for a job so I will be home all day taking care of your furry ones. My previous experience in my Mom's dog sitting company has given me the tools to provide the best possible care of the furry pets. I provide food, fresh water, and any medications needed at appropriate times, following the given schedule to optimise the pet’s wellbeing. I also personalise the care for each pet, taking into consideration their age, health conditions, energy levels, etc. I like to keep them entertained by playing with them and taking them on walks if agreed with you first. My walks always prioritise safety, providing the best experience possible for you and your pets. Letting them take their time while smelling plants and nature is crucial to ensure they enjoy the most. I offer on leash and off leash walks depending on your personal preference.

About: Hi! My name is sarah, and I would love to care for your furry family member while you’re away. I work from home full-time, which means your dog will have companionship and supervision throughout the day and will never be left alone for long periods. As a dedicated pet owner with years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of different ages, sizes, and personalities, I understand the importance of providing reliable, attentive care. I’m comfortable following specific feeding schedules, administering oral medications if needed, and accommodating your dog’s individual routines and preferences. I’m also happy to provide references from previous pet care experiences upon request. I share my home with my friendly 7-year-old, 40-pound dog who enjoys the company of other dogs and has a calm, easygoing personality. Because I live in a condo without a yard, I make sure dogs receive regular walks, potty breaks, playtime, and plenty of attention to keep them happy and comfortable. I understand that every dog has their own routine and unique needs, and I strive to provide a safe, loving environment that feels as close to home as possible. Whether your pup enjoys cuddling on the couch, going for walks, or simply relaxing nearby while I work, I’ll make sure they receive the care and affection they deserve. I also know how important peace of mind is when leaving your pet with someone new, so I’m happy to provide regular photo and video updates throughout their stay.
