About: I have always wanted to look after animals since I was a kid. My husband and I fostered rescue dogs in Alberta to help get adopted. I have also cared for a variety of small caged animals over the years. As your house sitter, I will be present in your home for the entire duration of the stay. This is great if your pup does not like to be left alone. I am able to administer simple medications if needed. I am also able to care for small caged animals in my own home and we can discuss this arrangement if you are needing this service. House/pet sitting is my priority. When you hire me, I will not need to leave your residence for other employment. This is great if your pup does not like to be left alone. I will care for your pets following the daily routine that you have already established for them. If the pets are used to a morning walk then I will take them on a morning walk if that is preferred. If your pets are happy to simply play in their yard while you are away I would be happy to do that as well. I usually like to arrange a short meet and greet prior to the first overnight stay to familiarize myself with your pets and their home.

About: Recently had to say goodbye to my baby girl of nearly 20yrs, missing her snuggles and purrs. I know how difficult it can be to leave your sweetheart(s) when you're away and would be honored to care for them and keep them company until you return. I always grew up with pets and have pet-sat for friends through my teens & adult years. Litter boxes, dog-poop patrol, medications or special diets - your furry friend will be well looked after! I'm self-employed and currently working part-time so my schedule is relatively flexible. If you live in Sooke, I can easily check in on your pup during the day and am free most evenings & weekends to get them out for walks and/adventures. I love hiking and exploring different trails. I'm only able to board cats at my place, they will be comfortable inside with windows to perch and watch the world go by or soak up some the warmth of the sun. I have a cat tree, scratching post and toys to keep them busy. I am available to dog-sit in your home or simply provide check-in visits, bathroom breaks, and walks. About: I’ve been around family pets my whole life, and always loved meeting the pets in my neighborhoods. I’ve looked after many dogs of all types, from all walks of life. I own and care for 3 disabled and elderly dogs in my family. I love to travel all across Greater Victoria, which means I can expand my services anywhere in Sooke, Langford and Victoria. I will find a way anywhere for families in need of a sitter. I have a monumental amount of free time. No school, no current physical job, rarely going to events, so I can dedicate plenty of time to your pets. I am not in college or currently employed, so I have plenty of time to look after your pets. During the day I am available between 7AM - 11PM. Schedule may vary slightly on weekend nights. I am available for overnights, separate from the times above. About: I have had animals my entire life and have been extremely involved in training and ensuring they get the best care possible! I have done a lot of dog training in reactivity, separation anxiety, and use positive reinforcement to ensure that the relationship between me and my pet(s) is built on love and trust. With every new pet, I let them approach me and I build a foundation of trust so that obedience is not something forced but given! I work part time but I have blocked out those days so that it won’t interfere, but other wise I work 7 hour shifts so if your pet is staying when I am working, they would have to be comfortable being home alone for those hours I care for my pets by using positive reinforcement and consistency. Consistency is key and is very beneficial for ensuring my pets can succeed in all aspects of their lives. I understand dog body language and know when to approach, let them be, or let them come to me. It’s about listening to boundaries, just like with us humans!

About: Animals have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve cared for and raised animals of all kinds, from puppies and rescue dogs to farm animals and small pets. My own rescue dog, Indigo, taught me so much about patience, compassion, and attentive care as I supported her through both IVDD and cancer. I’ve also raised puppies and lived on a farm where I regularly cared for large farm dogs and cats. About: I have a very flexible availability since I’ve just finished my law degree and am home full time! I live near multiple parks (within 5 mins walking distance) and with lots of space in my home that your pup would love! I have a 5 month old mini dachshund puppy, and she is extremely friendly, social and would love to make new friends. I’ve been training her since she was 8 weeks old and I can also work with your pup on anything you’d like to re-enforce or newly introduce. I have past experience with dogs dealing with separation anxiety, I also implement crate training and enforced naps throughout the day and positive rewards. I also can potty train if needed! I only take 1 pet/booking at a time so I can give my full attention to your pup! Please do let me know if your pup is social or has any triggers (toy/food guarding) and is friendly to puppies, if your uncertain I strongly recommended a quick meet up prior to booking with your pup and mine to ensure a safe and fun day for them! I am home full time and my daily routine consists of caring for my own puppy, usually including playing and training and enforced naps and walks I live in a single dwelling home with a fenced yard with plenty of grass, and my home is split leveled so there’s plenty of space for your pup to run around and play. I’m not adjacent to a busy street so there are no noises that might make your pup anxious. I also have my own pup who would love a new friend (Please let me know if your pup shouldn’t be taking stairs or jumping, since I dont let my mini dachshund take the stairs or jump onto furniture due to any back injury risks so I carry her and I can do the same for yours!)

I absolutely adore every single animal and have volunteered at farms and petting zoos before, including spending time at farms internationally. I have experience taking care of other peoples dogs, cats and smaller animals. I have two dogs and two cats that I take care of myself with my parents and I regularly pet sit off of Rover.
