“Absolutely amazing! We left Nibbler so we could go surfing on our last day, and Nibbler was a tired and happy dog when we got back. He got to walk all the way into town, and stop at the beaches on the way. If we ever need a sitter again in Tofino, I’d absolutely trust Etienne. Nibby can also ‘scream’ at sticks and such sometimes (he has a weird bark) and Etienne handled it with grace!! I’ve always been worried because of my dogs breed - that people may judge him, but Nibbler is full of love and kindness and Etienne shared that back with Nibby! Thank you so so much!”

Jena is flexible, compassionate, and I feel completely comfortable knowing Dexter is getting the best of care. About: I had a large dog for 12 plus years. I love how active and different all dogs are. Their fun personality speaks volumes about each breed! I have a very flexible work day. I also work a 5 minute walk from home so it is easy to check in with pets. I'm off on weekends and early on Fridays for outdoor adventures. I have a fenced yard for day time play. I live I'm a beautiful walkable neighborhood for more adventures. There are no Pets here to make your pet feel more comfortable

About: My experience over the years with dogs has been with a variety of different breeds, ages and behaviors. I volunteered fostering dogs at the Victoria Humane Society in 2022 where I gained a lot of experience with different temperaments and ages/mixed breeds. The highlight of my experience was working for Island Miniature Schnauzers outside of Sooke in 2016 for 8 months. My duties were: Home Life training for adopted puppies. This provided the new owners one week of me training the puppy at my home. This included walking on leash for the first time, crate training, schedule for house training, socializing with other dogs and people to name a few.. I provided video and pictures to the new owners to keep them up to date on progress. I also took older Shnauzers who were used to farm life and adapted them to urban life by going on leashed walks, greeting new dogs and people. I also learned to groom puppies and older dogs as well. You can see in all my photo's with the Schnauzer puppies and dogs that I trained while working for IMS. Over the years I have taken care of friends/family dogs and cats at their home. I treat all animals like my very own. I massage them, comfort them them and just love them up! I have a nice sized backyard that is fully fenced for play. There are many trails, beaches and lakes that we go on each day. Depending on your dogs level of care, adjusting the cost is a flexibility I offer. I am retired and am home most of the day while caring for your pet. We walk once or 2x a day and I have a nice sized backyard. Games and training time are incorporated into our day. I aim to make it as balanced and fun as possible. I offer 2 walks a day. There are many places to walk close to my home & the galloping goose trail is behind my gate. My backyard is a good size for running and zoomies. Naps and downtime are a must for a happy healthy dog. The dogs sleep with me unless they need to be in a crate.
