About: The most important part of understanding an animal is reading their body language and observing their behavior. They tell us very clearly what they're feeling/needing. Once they feel understood, safe and sense the loving vibe, everything is calm. I have been an animal lover all my life, with both cats and dogs in my home. I have a very friendly, playful 2 year old mixed-breed dog who gets along with every dog he's ever met. He's gentle with the little ones and seniors and adores finding a dog friend with similar energy to wrestle and run with. If your dog is social, mine will make yours feel right at home. I do not have a fixed schedule, so I am flexible and have time to watch and ensure that everyone is happy and getting along. I have a large fenced yard and am close to several good trails and beaches. Every day will be filled with a fun dog adventure.

What makes us a great fit: - Two attentive caregivers (lots of supervision & flexibility) - Active lifestyle with daily walks (trail access right outside our door) - Calm, structured home environment, with individualized care and attention A little about us: I previously worked at a dog daycare in Vancouver, where I gained hands-on experience with dogs of all sizes, breeds, ages and temperaments, including high-energy and more reactive dogs. My partner of 11 years, Tarun is a life-long dog-lover and outdoor adventure seeker looking to explore more of the island. Tarun and I also had a husky together, Loki, who sadly passed away in September, we truly understand how important it is to find someone you trust with your pup. We both genuinely miss having a dog around and we would love to be able to provide the same level of care and attention to your pup as we did with our Loki. I work part-time mostly in the evenings, while my partner works full-time during the day, so between the two of us there is almost always someone home. On the rare occasions we are both working, your dog would typically be alone for no more than three hours at a time. I’m home during the day and love getting outside as much as I can, so going on walks and spending time outdoors are a big part of the routine. My partner works at MEC and usually craves time outdoors when he's not at work and he's definitely been missing having a trail buddy! Dogs in our care can expect regular walks, fresh air, and plenty of love and attention. Overall, our schedule allows us to provide a balanced mix of activity, supervision, and downtime, and we’re happy to adapt to each dog’s specific needs and routine. Safety and comfort are a top priority in our home. We provide a calm, clean, and well-supervised environment where dogs can relax and feel at ease. Our space is open concept, which allows us to keep a close eye on dogs at all times. Dogs are welcome on the couch for cuddles if they would like, we also have a dog bed and blankets if they would prefer. We have rugs throughout the home to help prevent slipping, especially for senior dogs or those with mobility issues. Our flooring is durable and easy to clean, so we’re not concerned about the occasional mess and can focus on keeping your dog comfortable instead. Outdoor time is always supervised, and walks are done securely on leash. With trail access just steps from our door, your pup will get regular exercise in a safe and peaceful neighbourhood. With two of us at home, there’s always a high level of supervision, attention, and care so you can feel confident knowing your dog is safe, relaxed, and well looked after.

About: I currently have a Sphynx (high maintenance cat breed with very specific needs) so I’m comfortable with tailored routines, diet restrictions, and reading an animal’s particular quirks.. I also grew up with dogs (multiple Border Collies) so I know the energy and exercise they need too. Whether your pet wants constant attention, space, or a specific routine, I adjust to what actually works for them :) I am currently working part time, so I have free time in my week and would love to drop in and take care of your animal(s). Typically I work Thursday-Saturday or Sunday, but am happy to accommodate as best I can if you need support during those days. In your home, I stick closely to their feeding schedule, walks, and any specific instructions, staying attentive to their comfort in their own environment throughout each visit. *I have a cat in my home, (2 bd duplex house). I am happy to have your pet stay in my home if they’re patient/friendly towards cats and my cat gets along with them -would need to discuss/meet & greet prior to me hosting*

There's something special about each and every dog, learning their unique personality, and making them feel safe and loved. As a lifelong dog owner, I know how difficult it can be to leave your pup with someone else. That's why I care for every dog as if they were my own. My goal is for you to enjoy your time away knowing your dog is happy, comfortable, and receiving lots of love and attention. I currently share my home with my friendly 10-year-old Cockapoo, Luna, who loves having canine visitors. My partner, Trevor, and I have both cared for dogs through Rover as well as for friends and family over the years, so your pup will be in experienced, caring hands. I work from home full-time, so your pup will have company for most of the day and won't be left alone for long periods. Walks are part of our daily routine, and we love visiting Clover Point and Dallas Road for fresh air, exercise, and lots of sniffing opportunities. Between walks, your dog will enjoy potty breaks, playtime, naps, and plenty of attention throughout the day. I'm also comfortable administering medications and following your dog's regular routine, so they experience as little disruption as possible. Your dog's safety and happiness are always my top priorities. We live in a clean, pet-friendly apartment with an elevator, making it accessible for dogs of all ages. Our balcony has an additional safety barrier installed, and access can be supervised or restricted depending on your dog's needs. Luna is a calm, friendly Cockapoo who gets along wonderfully with other dogs, making her a great companion for visiting pups. I'm naturally very organized and pay close attention to the little details—from feeding schedules and medications to potty routines and favourite sleeping spots. I know every dog is different, and I'm happy to follow their routine as closely as possible so they feel comfortable and secure. As a dog owner myself, I also know how reassuring it is to receive updates while you're away. I love getting photos of Luna when I'm travelling, so I'll send regular photos and messages to keep you updated on all of your pup's adventures. If Trevor or I ever need to step out briefly, we also have indoor cameras so we can check in remotely and ensure everyone is safe and comfortable.

About: I have been working with dogs and training them for over a year. And animals in general for 10 years. My new love for life. I work from home so it fits perfectly. My 8 year old daughter loves all animals and helps out as well. When she is in school or when I take her to her fathers I will be out. Willing to have dogs in my car if they are okay in vehicles I have a fenced in yard and no other pets in the home currently. My focus will be solely on the animals I care for.
