“Diane saved my butt! She did a fabulous job looking after my cat Reggie. I booked with her rather last minute, but she was available and attentive right away. She made time to feed, hang out and play with Reggie and then sent me lots of photo updates, even of him taking a bite of his food. That was really nice reassurance that I didn’t have to ask for. So pleased with Diane’s help - would be comfortable having her in my home again in the future. Thank you Diane!”

“Melanie is great with our three pets two dogs and a cat, she gives them massages and they are always happier after seeing her. She is great at communicating and does a great job. I would recommend her to anyone who wants their pets cared for.”

About: I've taken care of animals of all kinds for many years. About: Updated SPRING 2026 SCHEDULE: Pet Sitting for all types of animals in YOUR own home 🐶😸 Pet Sitting Available 7 days/week 🐕😸🦎 Drop-Ins & Walks Available Mon-Fri after 5pm & anytime weekends. Please note, I offer services primarily in the Oakbay/Fernwood/Oaklands/Hillside area. Pet Sitting requests outside this area may require extra fees. Updated SPRING 2026 SCHEDULE: Pet Care in YOUR own home starting at $50/night + taxes and Rover fees. Available 7 days per week upon advanced booking, typically 3-4 weeks out. Pet Sitting happens in your animals own home to reduce stress and maintain your furry friend's regular feeding and bathroom routine. Animals can get dysregulated by change, just like humans! So this option allows your pet to skip high energy of kennels as I will be staying in your home and providing love and care for your pet day and night. **Please note I work remotely from my laptop during the day. This means I will be multi tasking between computer work and phone calls, while also ensuring your animals are loved and cared for like they were my own by providing them care, feeding, and bathroom breaks. Please provide parking and a WIFI password on the counter as I require internet access to work from home. Thank you! :) Available Mon-Fri after 5pm, and Weekends anytime for drop ins/walks. **Not offering care in my home at this time. About Me: I have two dogs of my own, as well as two bunnies, 6 chickens, a pig and two domestic pigeons. Therefore I am very familiar with animal needs and behaviors! I encourage any specific care needs be written down or messaged to me through Rover to ensure high quality care and detail can be given. Please note: ALL services are conducted WITHOUT my dogs or pets. Additionally, for safety purposes I do not interact animals from different houses. House sitting and walks are done for ONE household at a time, for safety purposes. Feel free to reach out with questions! :) I provide care in your own home, by taking them out for walks, to the bathroom, refilling food/water as needed. Since care is provided in your own home I will be home during the day and can be receptive to your pets needs and any specific care plans they may have. This ensures that while you are away your animals recieve consistent care and you recieve peace of mind. Feel free to ask me questions! ☺️
About: I've loved animals since I was a child! I have extensive experience caring for large dogs and have raised a puppy and supported a terminally ill dog. I am confident in leash control of large dogs that pull, as my own dog is ~100lbs. My Old English Sheepdog is eager for a playmate if your pup is looking to socialize! My schedule is extremely flexible, with my only consistent commitments being early morning Wednesdays and Sundays. I have my own vehicle and am happy to come to you! I have a friendly, playful dog who would LOVE to go for walks with your dog! I will care for your pets as though they are my own with patience, love, and enthusiasm!

“Lucy was fantastic with my dog Perla! It was her first time with a sitter, and she can be nervous around new people but Lucy had the magic touch and immediately made Perla feel comfortable. She was very communicative and made me feel reassured that Perla was well taken care of. If you're looking for a trustworthy sitter that's great with pets, Lucy is your girl.”

About: I’ve both volunteered and worked within animal shelters giving me experience with all ages and breeds of dogs! I’m happy to help follow any training plans and work to build good walking habits with your dog! I’m currently a university student so my schedule is pretty flexible and I’m happy to work out a time outside of my posted availability if you shoot me a message! I am truly a dog person and want your pup to have the best time possible! I believe in positively reinforcing behaviour with treats, pets, and praise!
“Ashley took care of my two cats while I was away. This was my first time leaving my cats behind with a sitter and I am glad it was Ashley. One of my cat seemed extremely comfortable in the pics with her around. Ashley even made efforts to look for my other cat, the shy one, and sent me pics from it's hiding place. I got regular updates and photos. I would highly recommend Ashley.”

“Really enjoyed our experience with Clementine. She is very friendly and easy to communicate with. She is very accommodating and took care of our 10 week old pup on short notice with great care. Would definitely recommend her!”
About: I love animals and spend a lot of time training, snuggling, brushing, playing with and spoiling my Aussiedoodle with treats. I come with a parent who has had animals her whole life and is very comfortable making sure your pup is well cared for. We have a flexible schedule with afternoon visits being the most convenient, but can be flexible. My 9 year old is keen to come as her first “job” however I work shift work and am available often during the day to fill in any gaps. We are mostly interested in visits to your home for cat or dog sitting. We are happy to provide what is needed based on your animals temperament and needs. Refilling food, snuggles, play, etc. as needed.

“Miriam was amazing with our fur-baby cat! I immediately felt comfortable and confident in having her check-in on Nala while we were away. I received lots of updates and pictures and Nala got lots of love! I will definitely be contacting Miriam for any future care :)”
“Outstanding just the best! Cynthia looked after our cats for 4 days. Our cats went to meet her right away when she came into the house for the meet and greet. They don't ever do that! We didn't worry at all when we were away. Cynthia sent us messages when she was on her way to our place, provided photos of the cats eating, and being petted. She then sent a message when she headed out. Cynthia is kind, reliable and a great communicator. Our cats were so calm and happy when we got home. Highly recommend Cynthia as sitter for any pet.”

Stacey is wonderful! My very elderly cat was very happy seeing Stacey twice a day and is happy and calm upon my return. Stacey sent me lovely pictures of my cat daily and I felt so confident with her care of my old girl. Stacey was so easy to talk to and her visits were just what was needed. I will definitely call on her again.
Lauren provided excellent care for my cat while I was away! She was always quick to respond, communicated regularly, and provided photos after check-ins. As a first-time Rover user, I couldn’t be more satisfied and would love to book with Lauren again for future pet sitting needs :)

Richelle was excellent and I will hire her again for future trips. She made an effort to coax our stranger-shy cats out and got them purring and playing over the course of ten days while we were away. She was also professional, responsible, and provided daily updates and photos so we wouldn't worry. Also, as an aside, she helped me navigate the app as I'm not super tech-knowledgeable. Her updates were full of details and showed how much she cares about animals! When we returned both cats were happy and calm, as if we'd only been out for an hour. I highly recommend her!

Robin was great! Super communicative, great with my cat, and very willing to help out (ex. Cleaned litter without being asked, offered to water plants). Their availability was also super helpful/flexible. I will for sure be booking with Robin again and would definitely recommend them to a friend!

Heather was lovely! She came before I left to meet my cat and check out the routine. She loved my cat (obviously because my cat is the cutest cat who ever lived)😏. She made sure to follow all the instructions and sent me pictures each time. Thank you for caring for my fur baby!

Olivia provides extremely reliable timely in home care. She shared status updates and photos of our two very different feline family members. Olivia Thank you for your help during our week long trip. You gave us peace of mind. We’ll definitely hire you again!

Gabi did an overall excellent job in caring for my Fay while I was away for over a week! She perfectly followed feed and litter instructions, and reached out when she flagged issues needing attention. I would absolutely trust her with cat-sitting in the future!

Ava was fantastic! She was so easy to book with and accommodating. Nala loved her, and it was clear Ava spent quality time with her. She kept us updated on how Nala was doing and sent some great pictures. Anyone would be lucky to hire Ava to take care of their pets; she deeply cares about animals, and our (grumpy senior cat) Nala can't wait to have her back. Thank you Ava!

Elara took excellent care of our cats while we were away. She kept us updated about her visits and was highly responsive. In addition to feeding, she gave our cats some play time and even watered our garden. We’d highly recommend her as a pet sitter and will definitely have her back to look after our cats next time we’re away.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
