“Kaitlyn took excellent care of our two cats while we were away for two weeks. She provided updates with photos for each visit, and was even able to make friends with the one who is really shy and hides from anyone other than family 😻 We could tell that she genuinely cared about their well-being and was very kind to them. Thank you Kaitlyn!”
“This was my second time booking with Chantelle, and once again everything was fantastic! She took wonderful care of the boys, kept me updated, and gave me complete peace of mind while we were away. It's such a relief knowing they're in such caring and reliable hands. Definitely wouldn't hesitate to book her again. Highly recommend!”

I have a flexible schedule that allows me to fit dog walks in throughout the day. I’m typically available on weekdays, with some evening and weekend availability as well. I do my best to accommodate your dog’s routine and keep things consistent for them. I care for every pet as if they were my own, always prioritizing their safety and comfort. I pay close attention to routines, feeding instructions, and behavior to ensure consistency and reduce stress. I’m mindful in clients’ homes, keeping everything clean, secure, and respectful while creating a calm, loving environment for each pet.
“Vanessa helped care for my Jane & Nemo pretty last minute and was wonderful to engage with, attentive and communicative. She let me know when she was heading over and gave me a lil report and took a few photos of my bebes. She kindly washed their dishes and everything looked great when I got home. Highly recommend and would happily trust her with my kitties again 🙏🏼”

“My cats were well loved and cared for. Lion and Gabe took to Tayor right away. Taylor was punctual, responded quickly to messages and sent lots of pictures. I would highly recommend Taylor as a petsitter!”

“We are repeat clients and are so pleased with Amy's service. She is reliable and goes out of her way to make sure our shy, elderly kitty is comfortable and happy. We also really appreciate the photos and videos she posts at every drop-in visit! Thanks Amy!”
“Jason was amazing to our dogs, we were so worried to go on vacations and leave our dogs behind but Jason was truly great. The dogs had the best time playing and going out with him, it was a fun time for them. He always updated us and we felt that they were really well taken care off. We will definitely rebook next time we are away”

About: I have 15 years caring for my own dogs, 10 years working in a pet store, and hands-on experience with agility puppy training. I’m confident handling high-energy breeds, enrichment, routines, and safety-focused care. I’ve previously had an Icelandic sheepdog and border collie mix, each with their own special needs such as extreme allergies, behavioural triggers and high prey drive. I know the challenges these breeds face and want to help you out as much as possible in easing their energy. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. As a masters student, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to plan walks, check-ins, and sits consistently. I prioritize reliability, routine, and making time for each pet’s individual needs. I prioritize safety, trust, and a calm environment in every home I care for. I follow owner instructions closely, maintain routines, secure doors and leashes, and ensure pets feel comfortable and respected. I keep spaces clean, monitor behavior, and provide regular updates for peace of mind.
About: I have had animals my entire life and have been extremely involved in training and ensuring they get the best care possible! I have done a lot of dog training in reactivity, separation anxiety, and use positive reinforcement to ensure that the relationship between me and my pet(s) is built on love and trust. With every new pet, I let them approach me and I build a foundation of trust so that obedience is not something forced but given! I work part time but I have blocked out those days so that it won’t interfere, but other wise I work 7 hour shifts so if your pet is staying when I am working, they would have to be comfortable being home alone for those hours I care for my pets by using positive reinforcement and consistency. Consistency is key and is very beneficial for ensuring my pets can succeed in all aspects of their lives. I understand dog body language and know when to approach, let them be, or let them come to me. It’s about listening to boundaries, just like with us humans!
About: Hi fellow dog lovers! I’m Olivia — a lifelong animal enthusiast with over 15 years of hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats. From growing up helping neighbors with training to pet sitting for friends and family, animals have always been a huge part of my life. I’m currently training my own dog, Adonis, to become a service dog, and I’m on the path to becoming a certified dog trainer myself! Adonis is a sweet, playful companion who loves making new friends, and your pup will be in great company. I offer 24/7 supervision in a cozy, crate-free home (unless crating is your preference), with plenty of mental and physical enrichment. Your dog will enjoy daily walks, adventures on nearby trails, beach or lake visits, and lots of stimulation through play and exploration. With multiple cooling stations and AC to keep everyone comfortable, your fur baby will feel right at home — even welcome to snuggle up and sleep beside me! I can’t wait to meet you and your furry companion and would be honored to give them the care, love, and attention they deserve while you’re away. I’m currently working part time. So I have 4 days out of the week that is centred around animals. I have my own dog that I take for daily walks and training sessions so your fur babies will get lots of play time and exercise. I keep my home clean and organized so my dog can’t reach anything he shouldn’t. My dog is very friendly and can keep your fur babies entertained. I have a crate if needed and I can send picture/ video updates if wanted.

About: Animals have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve cared for and raised animals of all kinds, from puppies and rescue dogs to farm animals and small pets. My own rescue dog, Indigo, taught me so much about patience, compassion, and attentive care as I supported her through both IVDD and cancer. Through that experience, I became very comfortable with medication routines, mobility support, changing needs, and providing calm, loving care through every stage of an animal’s life. I’ve also raised puppies and lived on a farm where I regularly cared for large farm dogs and cats. Over the years, I’ve had experience caring for many different animals, including parrots, snakes, hamsters, fish, rabbits, and other small pets. I genuinely love getting to know each animal’s unique personality and needs, and I always strive to make them feel safe, understood, and cared for while their owners are away. I work from home and have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to give pets lots of attention, consistency, and care throughout the day. I’m also a very active person and usually spend hours outside walking every day, so I’d genuinely love some furry companionship along the way - whether your dog prefers long adventures, slower sniff walks, or lots of playtime and attention. I live in a detached home with a fully fenced backyard and no other animals in the home, creating a calm and safe environment for your pet. I take animal care very seriously and have always treated every pet - whether my own or someone else’s - with patience, attentiveness, and genuine love. I cared for my sweet dog Indigo through both IVDD and cancer, which gave me firsthand experience supporting animals with medical needs, mobility limitations, medication routines, and changing comfort levels. That experience taught me that every animal is unique, and I’m happy to adapt to their individual routines, personalities, and care needs to help them feel safe and comfortable.
About: I have been pet sitting and dog walking for many years, I have experience with all pets. I have worked with all different sizes and breeds, I have also worked with different temperaments. I’ve dealt with shy and timid dogs, to aggressively not good with other animals or humans, and of course loving and super friendly dogs. Pets are my passion and I only have what’s best interest for them :) I have tons of references if wanted, I am super flexible and just happy to help with your furry family members. I am happy to just drop by and give a snuggle or out for a bathroom break, and I am also happy to stay at your home for as long as you need. I currently work part time, my job is flexible so I am able to check on the pets anytime during the day! I am always home by 3pm so plenty times for adventures and snuggles! I am very attentive to pets needs, I love playtime, snuggles, and adventures! I live by lots of trails and beaches perfect for the Adventurous pups!
About: As an interior designer, I spend my days creating spaces that feel calm, comfortable, and welcoming, and I’ve always taken the same thoughtful approach with the animals I spend time with. I’ve loved animals my whole life, and spending time with them has always brought me a genuine sense of happiness. Over the years, I’ve volunteered at animal shelters and veterinary clinics, as well as cared for dogs and cats for family, friends, and through referrals. I love getting outside for walks and hikes, and there’s nothing better than having a four-legged companion along for the adventure. Whether your dog loves to explore or prefers a slower pace, I’ll take the time to get to know their personality and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well looked after while you’re away. I have experience caring for pets of all ages, from playful puppies and kittens to senior pets who may need a little extra patience and attention. I own my own interior design business and primarily work from home, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets in my care. I treat every home and every pet with the same care and respect I would my own. I’ll follow your pet’s routine as closely as possible, meeting their needs and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well looked after until you’re home again.
About: * A little note and update. Unfortunately my mom passed away last year and I have moved to Langford BC for a new beginning. So to any previous clients from Burlington that I haven’t spoken to before my move - I’m unfortunately no longer living there. It was a pleasure to work with you ! Everything else below holds true. Please read my profile carefully before booking to make sure I’m a good fit for your dog. I have over 18 years experience caring for animals. I’m an intuitive energy ( Reiki Master ) healer which allows me to connect and understand your dog’s needs at a deeper level. If your dog is nervous or afraid of new people and/ or surroundings, i’m able to calm them with a little energy treatment. I also have many years of teaching and practicing first aid under my belt, as well as 11years of caring for my first dog Charlie. Over all, I have a tremendous love and understanding of animals, which I believe makes me a great choice for caring for your beloved fur babies. I know how incredibly precious they are to you, and will ensure they are loved and cared for as if they were my own. I am writing a film, doing pack walks and running my energy healing business from home - which allows me a flexible schedule to give your animals the care they need. For overnight / daycare : we live in a coach house in Langford BC - a close drive to Royal Oak Beach. It’s such a beautiful, safe neighbourhood to explore and go for walks. Sooke Hills Wilderness Park is just 3mins away. Note there is a set of stairs leading up to my living space so for those dogs that can’t do stairs I might not be a good fit. I am available to sit at your home though if it’s easier. I’m currently working from home writing my film. My schedule is flexible, so I have plenty of time for play and walks. Your pet is always my first priority though and I will customize my days around their schedule and care. Dogs are always leashed and well cared for when out for walks. I don’t have a yard or anywhere they can escape from. Their safety will always be my first priority.

Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
